Lego General FAQ/Guide:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YVt-4sibEMFOU8H484MpB-K6rNla5SIYdHZG8lyCHLQ/edit?usp=sharing
Remember to take a whirl at one of these June challenges anons:
>Build a minifigure of a Star Wars character that doesn't already have one.
>Build a robot command centre. You figure out what it's supposed to be a robot or command them!
>Build something that's mostly Lego but uses some third party/off brand pieces.
>Build a brick-built wheelchair that looks better than the one in 60134.
>Build something based off of another anon's MOC.
>Fenimiminismninimism- Give your female figs something BADASS to ride around in! Bonus points for minidolls.
>Make a Fighting arena for your two most badass minifigs!
>Go to the Lego aisle at Walmart and startle someone
>Home Sweet Home - In honor of Captain Rex's AT-TE, rebuild a vehicle into a mobile home for your favorite figs.
>June Bride. Set up an impromptu wedding between your sig fig and another fig, or your waifig/husbafig and another. Bonus points for celebrity guests, full musical acts and ultimate points for treating her/him like a princess/prince with a "fairytale wedding" (fancier the better).

Is that beetle an actual set, and how many kidneys would I need to sell to get it?

>>5747596

>>5747602

>>5747575

>>5747594
This is not our Queen...
>>5747588
Where do you get the coupon?
>>5747635
Gotta buy the calendar.
>>5747644
Well memed ;^) I didn't want to buy Lego but I can go buy a set because it's going to be my brother's birthday. Might as well grab the calendar.
Are 4 colors too many for a single moc?
Even though they're mostly just different shades of blue I'm worried I may be pushing it. I don't actually have a moc to put them on yet I'm just brainstorming ideas.
Do you guys think it can be done or should I cut it back a bit?
>>5747653
It's a meaningless question without seeing the MOC.
>>5747655
That's a fair enough assessment. I'll post again later when I've got something to put the colors on.
>>5747653
Four colors probably isn't going to overwhelm anyone, especially if it's a shading issue.
But it really depends on what the MOC is. If you've got an idea of what you're going to build, try drawing it and applying the colors to your drawing and see how it looks.
>>5747653
Nope, 4 is a good amount
>Details
>Base
>Mid-tones
>Highlights
>>5747653
be careful about your placement of parts/choice of colour for each piece, because you're using similar shades if you aren't careful with your distribution of colours it can end up looking a mess, you probably want to aim for obvious shifts in colour, rather than scattering the colours around.

Unless the CMF Disney line is a hit and they keep it going.
>>5747665
What torso is that on Maleficent?
>>5747768
It constantly sells out everywhere.
Speaking of CMF waves, when I picked up the Fun in the Park last Saturday, the endcap at Target was still packed with the Halloween wave. I don't know why it's not getting more love but I think I'm going to start armybuilding a gang of Skulls.

Craigslist, eBay. Buy a bulk unsorted collection for $50. Buy a gallon of Simple Green. Soak the collection in hot water and Simple Green a couple times, rinse well with hot water, sort pieces, and start playing with them. You'll figure out what to do from there.

>>5747931
pends on the sorting weight(post bag/per bag)
>>5747934
From where, Ikea? I store all my legos in a bin and I'm thinking of just putting bags in the bin.
>>5747938
Home Depot. Dollar Tree. Walmart. Tons of places will sell you varieties of stacking boxes.
I do use bags for SETS, but for organizing parts, you'll want boxes. Even those cheap little disposable ones can help there. I organize my minifig pieces and other small parts in cheap little organizers from the hardware store.
>>5747947
>Huh, how many pieces are expected for that much?
Probably 500-600, maybe more depending. They might throw in some baseplates or minifigs. It seems expensive (and it is) but it's also a lot of fun and you can probably recoup most of your expenses because Lego pieces don't really go "bad" unless you break them or leave them outside in the sun.

>>5748392
eh, there seems to be very few to no stickers that could be left un-applied on the set without it losing its distinctive look
it's better than their last attempt in many ways
>>5748304
What I find extremely funny is that lego is so anti violence, but yet they made sets for the indiana jones movies that directly referenced some pretty brutal violence and death.
The flying wing.
The cart ride from temple of doom.
temple of doom itself!
The guy getting eaten alive by ants in crystal skull (as shit as it looked what with the horrid CGI, thats still a terrifying way to go out. Drowning in fucking bullet ants that are eating you from the inside as well as the outside. Fuck.).
Kind of wish they had made "Indy meets The Fuhrer for an autograph!" as a set.
>>5748410
Indiana Jones is sort of a romanticized legend. It's more of an adventure than a Military theme. You could argue that Star Wars is at least as violent.
>>5748410
>Kind of wish they had made "Indy meets The Fuhrer for an autograph!" as a set.
Well, he can always meet "Hitlerry".
>>5748414
Star Wars never showed a guy ripping a dudes heart out full on, or a guy getting flattened by a rock crusher. It never showed the bloodbath of a guy getting shredded by a propeller blade. The most you get is a little blood after an auto cauterizing laser blade cuts off an arm. Or dead children with no signs of violence on them at all.
>>5748420
Or the dead, burnt-out husks of Luke's relatives. Or a guy getting roasted by lava. Or several people getting caught in exploding cockpits.
>>5748426
Exploding cockpits are quick. Flash of fire, wilhelm, smash cut to next scene.
Owen and Beru, ill give you.
Anny burning looked like shit.
Ill raise you Anny burning for one "CLOSE YOUR EYES, MARIAN, DONT LOOK AT IT." and double down with one "He chose....POORLY."
>>5748428
I'll meet you with multiple strangulations, both physical and force-based, one Live Rancor Devouring, and the gutting of Indiana Jones.
>>5748434
Force strangulation does not count. Thats like saying Lugosi waving his hands around freakishly is rape.
Sure, its "violence", but not in a raw physical sense.
Rancor......dont remember seeing a LIVE devour, but I may be wrong (just remember based Oola getting dropped into the pit and then the flunkies in Jabbas crib standing around the cage, POV shot style laughing it up while she wilhelmina screamed off camera.) Th Rancor KILL though, ill give you. Choking sucks.
Gutting of Indy.....you mean 4 and the upcoming 2-3 more movies CONFIRMED, right?
"Gutting" the franchise?
>>5748445
Vader strangles a rebel the old-fashioned way. Leia also chokes Jabba.
The Rancor eats a Gammorean that got dropped in with Luke.
Kylo gutted Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones.
>>5748445
I raise you one star wars christmas special.
>>5748451
FUCK, good call, forgot the OG vader strangle and the Leia kill. Also the pig dude.
Fair enough.
The Kylo kill was as PG as they come. No blood, no real "OH SHIT IT BURRRRRRRNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!" moment. No more violent or gory than Ben cutting off the dudes arm in Mos Eisley. Shit, the Chewy freak out and gut shot to Kylo was more violent. Ill give you THAT one.
IJ is still WAY MORE graphic and bloody than SW though, you cant deny it. Implied gore versus actual blood on screen.
Also, Indy beats it with RELIGIOUS/SUPERNATURAL violence. I know religious shit is something lego has tried to steer clear of, EXCEPT with IJ.
There is a representation of the ark in the sets. Probably the closest to a religious artifact that I have seen in lego, unless im missing other things, which I may be.
I just looked hard at the Indy sets not long ago and was blown away about their "no violence" shit, but they chose such obviously violent things to make sets for.
Not just fantasy violence, but full on "heres a dude sticking his hand through the skin and bone of your chest and ripping your still beating heart out while praying to "heathen gods" while it bursts into flames!"
>>5748464
Akmena does NOT approve of your shit, FRIEND.

>>5748482
My friend wants to upload her amazing ship (scalled obvioulsy) model from this game, and I wonder if it has chances to pass. It seems to be smaller than any previous they did.
>>5748470
IJ is at least as corny as it is violent. The face meltings and stuff are so over-the-top as to be unrealistic. The rolling boulder trap is a cultural phenomenon. It's very pulpy and fun, and the gore can be compared to Jurassic Park in how gratuitous and unrealistic it is.
I would like to know how the lego game tried to handle "She talks in her sleep", though.
>>5748493
It could. Otherwise, I'm sure Mega would buy it.

Last November
Hey Lego gen, I lost my job and finally got around to making a thing from the instructions another anon posted.
Sorry for pic quality, the thing was really fragile so trying to stabilize it I went overboard

>>5748638
That would make for a perfect Green Lantern ring.
So, lego gen, I've just gotten my final grading for my degree and got a First! I wasn't really expecting to do so well, so I figured I'd treat myself with a nice big box of plastic crack.
Any recommendations? I'm in the UK so I can get my hands on the new Nexo and Ninjago stuff.

That having said, it must be a little saddening at times to be in your situation

>>5748643
Jealous of that gunship. It was towards the 2013 retirement time but the AT-TE was on sale, and I love walkers, so I went with that.

>>5749013
By part type, and then by color if there are too much of a certain type.

> The blues don't even match
>>5749013
The number of different categories you have is usually dependent on the number/size of your containers. I usually divide my 54K+ pieces into the following categories:
Traditional bricks
Plates
Slopes
Technic, incl. Technic bricks
Tiles
Minifigs and minifig accessories
"Special pieces" (anything that doesn't fit into the above categories)
>>5748582

>>5748527
They cast a white woman to play and old Chinese guy, and a black man as Boron Mordo for some reason.
>>5749040
You might have saved my mental well being, thanks for the suggestion.
I'm no master builder, in fact I don't think I've had a creative moment in lego away from following the instructions. Does anyone know how I can awaken my "creative side" (if I have one)?
>>5749120
just start putting bricks together.
and when you come up with something, start building something around it.
>>5749120
Buy a large bin of lego without any instructions, then build stuff and tell a story.
Even an extremely simple story is a good start
Bob has a house, he likes to walk.
Go from there.
After buying and building Thunder Mace, I can safely say that it's probably the worst Nexo-set by far.
At least Mecha horse, the previous holder of the title, looked complete, the transformation gimmick was neat and I liked the motorcycle form. Mace just looks unfinished. At least it's the cheapest way to get non-ultimate Macy and her squirebot and it has some neat parts so it's not a complete waste.
>>5749120
Take a set or three and combine features.
Doesn't matter if it looks good or not.
Focus on how the bricks connect to each other and what shapes they create.
Use a set to build something similar to the instructions, but ultimately different.
Even doing something as simple as following the instructions, but using different colors can make your mind see connections in a different way.
Try to start looking at how certain pieces fit to make an approximation of another piece; instead of using a brick, use three plates of differing color.
>Packed
>Shipped
>Paid
>Ready
Waiting for BL orders is suffering.
>>5749120
A great way to awaken creativity is by first finding something you're really into (be it cars, planes, mechs, German dungeon porn, etc). Once you've done that, find something within that that category that you think would be cool to build. So if you like mechs, look up concept art online and find a design you think is neat. From there it's a matter of looking at the elements of the design individually (legs, arms, cockpit) and looking at your parts collection to see what pieces would best match those design elements.
Or, depending on who you are, excessive drinking may also help spur the creative process.
a new friend!

In what world is this okay?
>>5749224
Scorpion is actually pretty good as far as magazine gifts go. Green bone pieces have been in only one set before this, and everything else is pretty usable too.
Even if the Falcon on the next magazine is much much better.
>>5749230
i do agree, but it's slightly more expensive than ninjago/nexo/friends mags.
falcon is coming in october.
>>5748807
watermelon too.
>>5749237
Oh, it's more expensive? Color me surprised.
>falcon is coming in october
I know that perfectly well. Doesn't stop me for having it on my desk already. Again, none of the pieces are unique to it.
>>5749246
good for you. not every kid knows bricklink exists, and these critters surely can diversify their collections
>>5749009
this mixel is the first time i've seen them
Would you guys recommend buying Lego Creator sets and just piecing things together not from the instructions?
>>5749265
Yes.
Especially Power Digger from yesteryear is amazing for this.
>>5749265
sure, go wild.
>>5749278
If you can still find in our area, try getting the Red Creatures and/or Future Flyer. Both have some articulations and the latter has also 4 wheels, in case you feel like building some vehicles.
I haven't given a chance to the newer Creator sets but it looks like they're not so versatile as the supreme Power Digger.
>>5748010
Fuck you, buy plat.
>>5749113
>They cast a white woman to play and old Chinese guy, and a black man as Boron Mordo for some reason.
The reason is something called "profit". The Chinese government wouldn't allow a movie to run in its theaters that featured a Tibetan as one of the main heroes, and "sexy young white female" is more marketable than "elderly Asian male".
Casting a black guy as Baron Mordo is just to draw in larger crowds.
>>5749322
>sexy young female
>Tilda Swinton
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHH

She IS sexy in a very ethereal, almost elven kind of way. Kind of reminds me of an albino. Have always found the idea of an albino hot. Sadly only one ever has done porn that I have found, and it was like one shitty scene.
>>5748984
That is fucking horrifying.
>>5749322
I still have no idea why they went with a black Mordo as a good guy instead of just using Daniel Drumm. The villain of the movie is a minor Mordo minion from the comics essentially being Mordo with a different name.

These actually look pretty nifty when you line them up like this.
I am feeling pretty conflicted, though. I want to get Tower Carrier to complete the sets of personal vehicles and robots. However, it's like 90€ here and only 15€ less than Fortrex. At that point, I'd rather get Fortrex but then I wouldn't have Axlbot. Lego also never gets clearanced here unless it's Friends or Elves

I actually enjoy it. As long as you have the motor skills of a grown-up and fingers that aren't like sweaty, greasy sausages, I think stickers are fun and satisfying to apply. I have models that are 10+ years old, and the stickers are still holding strong.

>>5750121

>>5750177
The following few sets will be using the Fantasy Era skulls; the ones with evil eyes.
7090 Crossbow Attack is from the beloved Fantasy Era of Castle, released in 2007. It was a mere 6 USD on release, but these days it can be found on Bricklink hovering around 20 USD.
>>5750188
7091 Knight's Catapult Defense retailed for 10 USD. It comes with only one white skeleton, but you also get a kickass black one. It's recently been selling for ~14 USD on Bricklink, so you should still be fine if you're looking for one.
>>5750195
And our last set here is the 2008 Skeletons Battle Pack, also from Fantasy Era Castle. With two regular skellies, one black bag of bones, two armored skeltals, and a bunch of accessories, this set retailed for 15 USD. Prices on Bricklink range from 25-60 USD, so if this is what you end up going for, watch those prices!

Generally, if you dont fully trust the chinks yet, just buy a single figure. will run you anywhere from .50 to just under a dollar, usually free shipping. You wont be out much at all if the one fig you try out is fucked. Only bitch is the wait times since the stuff comes from china.
>>5750201

I don't even know where I'm gonna put it since its so goddamn huge. It's really hard to tell just how big those ships are until you get one in your hands. Favorite part about building the predator was doing up the rigging at the end. Enjoyed building this ship so much that I got another one to gift to my friend who really likes ships.
>>5750353
If you don't wanna splurge on the big Black General then you can usually find the Predator for $10-20 on Ali or Ebay. I managed to get two of em for $12 each.

Are you being retarded on purpose?
Well, I promised.. Ere we go boyz.
Got my POGO brand Spider Gwen in the mail. Also got a Mystique because blue chicks go good with Twi'lek strippers. And Goku, well, what super hero collection is complete without a Goku. Mysties print is spot on good, Goku has a little scuffing on his face, but I cant complain for around .60 cents. Not a huge fan of animoo faces on lego anyway. Excuse the grime on the gwens, the chink one came with a few spots, and the 3rd party one has fallen off her shelf a few times, she is clean now. Same with chink brand Gwen. Full review and compare next post.

the e3 previews weren't clear, but I think the nubusters get their own adventure world, so who knows.
>>5750367
Also one of my Enlighten choices once I get some extra cash.
That Black General is just too cool not to want.
Besides, how else am I gonna get the minifigs?
You could probably make a general approximation of the ship/other vehicles with the right official parts, but not the figs.
>>5750369
Fig on left is POGO brand from chink town. Fig on right is 3rd party custom printing I got off ebay.
Back printing on both is the same, except pogo is a grayer white. So I wont focus on that.
One thing I like on the pogo vs the 3rd party s that her blue shoes are printed more as a pair of shoes, which covers both sides of the feet as opposed to just blue blocks on only the FRONT of the feet like the 3rd party.
Chink version gots DEM TITS. Some wont like thiis due to the comic book character being more petite, but im a fan of tits, so thats that.
pogos arm printing definitely suffers compared to 3rd party, but the body and face printing is nicer and cleaner looking.
The hood on the pogo version also is not as nicely printed.
Pogo versions eyes look more detailed for sure, but some may not like the almost glowing look to her eyes compared to the cleaner lines on the 3rd party version.
For those of you who want a spider gwen and dont want to pay close to $50+ for the two or three remaining on the internet, the POGO version is definitely worth it coming in at around a dollar for the figure. Shit, but 3 or 4 and frankenfig them to make a perfect grade one.
For those of you who want 3rd party, printed on actual lego....Good luck. The one I own was I THINK the last "real" one on ebay, and I paid about $25 for her. ONE OTHER SITE that I know of had three left last I checked, and they were selling for around $50, also the prices were in pounds, so they were probably imports from the UK, meaning more shipping for US residents.
All in all, cant go wrong with the POGO version, just make sure thats who is making it as there are a few other companies in chinkville making them, but they look HORRIBLE (upside down triangle tits, anyone?).
>>5750380
But Abby will still be able to bust ghosts, right? So if you have Slimer, you can enter the OG Busters world; and if you have the Nubusters pack, you can trap ghosts without needing to buy the Venkman pack.
>>5750391
>Shit, buy 3 or 4 and frankenfig them to make a perfect grade one.
That's what I was going to do, but only one out of four had any defects (hole in her right arm). Now I've got 3 albino titty spiders I don't know what to do with.
>>5750403
You know what must be done.
Spider Force Five....well, three. Like Charlies Angels, but with radioactive spider blood.
>>5750228
ey b0s
>>5750391
I'm alright waiting for the official one. It's clear by now that Lego likes adding more Spiders to their range (pic related), and there's a precedent set where other companies have been making their own Gwens.
>>5750462
They wont do it. Just like they will never make another deadpool figure unless his next movie is a PG-13 or some shit.
>>5750272
>Expecting six when you know goddamn well it has to sit on something
>>5750466
What I think that anon meant is that it's retarded that they didn't include the 6th plate so it can have all its faces when it's not attached to is base.
>>5750462
Also just read who the current Scarlet Spider is. No thanks.
>>5750465
Why won't they? Lego Marvel has never hesitated to do Spider-stuff, nor do they care which universe a character's from (eg. Ultimate Spider-Woman in a 616 set, USM White Tiger in a comics set).
The reason they'll never make another Deadpool fig is because Disney doesn't like Fox.
>>5750483
Probably because im willing to bet their Spider quota is used up until Homecoming comes out. And unless Gwen gets an on screen appearance, or a HUGE upshot of support besides 3rd party printers who do every version of iron man in their spare time........I dont think she is popular enough to warrant lego to do a print. Also, isnt Gwenpool now the big hot shit? I havent read it at all, but have seen some scans. seems like same shit, different designed but same colored costume.
Who knows, maybe if they out Spider Gwen as a lesbian or something, maybe they will add her to a $120 set or something to appease the PC gods. Guaranteed either way that she wont be as nicely printed. They will either overdo the printing or make it too minimalist. They cant just copy 1:1 the fan design. That would be heretical.
>>5750488
ALSO, let me add to this.
THE RAMONES SPIDERMAN THEME SONG ACTION PACK WHEN??????
>>5750488
>Homecoming is next year
Okay, that makes sense. Yeah. They probably won't have any comic-based Spider-sets next year with that taking up the summer wave.
Getting a Spider-Gwen at some point in the future is guaranteed, though. She's a relatively new spider-variant, and we've already seen Lego do Miles. We got a Hobgoblin this year (in a Ghost Rider set!), and he hasn't been in the spotlight for a long time, so it doesn't even matter whether she's :popular enough". Neither of the other Spiders in the Bridge set have cartoon appearances, but they're there.
>>5750521
Whoops, typo.
>:popular enough"
"popular enough"
Also, we're probably gonna get an Agent Venom whenever they get back to comic/cartoon sets. He has merch, and also got an onscreen appearance.
>>5750521
Miles is why I even risked mentioning the PC brigade. ONE appearance in a relatively cheap set (surprisingly). Something tells me if they DO do a Gwen, it wont be cheap. Itll be some UCS set or some $100+ set meaning idiots on Bricklink will make her half the cost of the set (look at Luminara, the inquisitor brother or any of the old clones from the current SW releases on BL to see what I mean. Want to cry? Look up prices for Aayla Secura on amazon and despair. $400+ for the only Twi'lek I dont have. Sure, bricklink is cheaper, but the cheapest complete option is $50. For ONE minifig. I WISH TO FUCK I had connects in china. I would straight push them to bootleg Twi'leks, official and NOT, arealight customs, for cheap.)
Either way I think the chinese won the Gwen wars. IF WE DO get one, she wont be cheap, official or secondary market. She has a small but RABID fanbase, so either lego themselves milk it, or the chinese produce it in enough quantities that even the purists would go a little heretic to get her.
ALSO RAMONES SPIDER THEME ACTION SET WHEN????? COME ON DIMENSIONS. THERES 80s ACTION SHIT COMING, LETS GET SOME 80s MUSIC ACTION GOING!!!! I WANT A KENNY LOGGINS FIGURE.

>>5750581
Upstate NY here, I feel your pain. Don't think there's a Lego store closer than NYC which is hours and hours away. Only places to get plastic crack are the usual department stores and Toys R Us which are all also at least forty five minutes away.
It burts.
>>5750586
OK. How many batmen have they made? Ironmen? Spodermuns? How many Dr. Dooms have they made? Do you foresee a MODERN Redskull figure now that he is anti EU refugee?
Will lego make a Captain Hydra figure? After my Spider Gwen review I promised a Captain Hydra review when the figure comes. It should be a good print that lego can just use, but they wont.
Honestly thats where I am with the whole PC brigade thing. Sure, they will make figures for every fucking hero under the sun (or more realistically, they will make them for like the big 15, but, thats it. VILLAINS, they cant even touch because of this current PC, SJW bullshit, most villains are now off the reservation, so they CANT make a pro nazi redskull, or an anti immigration Dr. Doom. swap as needed.)
I just wish they would ignore current politics and social justice, and just make figures. Redskull is anti immigrant? so fucking what, make him anyways. Dr. Doom is Kony 2012? Nice. Make him anyway. Batman is the man of murder now? YAY! make it.
Either way, enjoy 17 different versions of batman and plain old spiderman. MAYBE a mark 49 and a half Iron Man. Spider Gwen? Who is that, and is it marketable without offending?
>>5750605
There's been a hell of a lot of those heroes made, although only one Doctor Doom (and in a Spider-Man set too).
>Modern Red Skull
>Captain Hydra
Probably. They've done current comics costumes before, like with the SDCC Captain Falcon.
Lego is cool with making whatever hero or villain they want to bring in. We currently have two varieties of Hydra henchmen, a MODOK, and even Sentry. We've gotten Captain Marvel with two head options, Taskmaster with a two-sided skull, and yes, we did get Deadpool in the first year of the theme.
Even in DC, with however many Batmen they have, manage to squeeze in some other characters. We've gotten not only a full Justice League, but also Gorrila Grodd, Black Manta, Captain Cold, and Sinestro. We're getting a Blue Beetle, a Katana, and a fucking Killer Moth.
Nothing is beyond reach, anon. Nothing except the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

That sucks, anon. Which country?
>>5750665
Finland.
Are there any resources for learning to commit heresy of good quality?
I saw some guy in the last thread post a picture of mechs that people said were heretical, but they looked pretty good. Same for the other guy a few threads back that posted this guy.
Things like the sizes of certain parts such as studs and connection pieces like the T piece or taps?
>>5750700
There probably are, but people round here generally don't concern themselves with such matters and will be of no help to you.
It's been nagging on me how the devs keep saying that every Dimensions pack in Year Two has unique minifigs that won't be available anywhere else. We know that the Harry Potter pack just reuses old figs, so are they lying?
I went and checked and it turns out that Harry minifigs never used this style of hair (it originated as hair for Ron). They were right. Every pack has at least one unique minifig.
>>5750581
there's one in Delaware
>>5750752
>>5750581
As someone living in the middle of Delaware, I can also point out that it's in upstate DE; in the Christiana mall.
It's a hike from where I'm at, but at least it's still a Lego store to visit if I'm ever in the area.
There's also one in Cherry Hill, NJ in the Cherry Hill mall. Depending on where you are in PA, those are probably the closest options.
I made a contra rotating pusher prop plane. It's frustratingly close to taking a minifig.
>>5749931
It's Epic. I love Midi scale shapes they are perfectly size. Please tell me you're going to share that file when you're finished? I would love to Bricklink one.
>>5750769
Change the rounded pieces on the cockpit to a 1x1 slope and 1x2 tile and you should be able to fit one inside.
>>5750745
it has unique face too. same with voldemort
>>5750802
I thought Voldemort's face was the same.
>>5750807
It seems its missing the "nose". Look it up.

>Lego produces more Batman minifigs kids like than Red Skull minifigs for AFOLs
>muh culture wars
Jesus, get a grip anon. Lego is a toy company. Toy companies don't want to make Nazis. This is not a shocking new development.
>>5750843
He is probably the biggest autist in the thread, really. The implication that they only made a Miles minifigure out of political correctness when you don't even get his face in the set is just too retarded for me. These people see a boogeyman in literally everything.
>>5750810
Huh. It really is just the nostril print. And maybe the shade of green they used on his robe.
I guess that technically makes it exclusive!
So, I kinda want to get the hot dog cart, but some of the colors used are a bit off-putting, and the seating set-up on the floor is a bit silly.
Do you think it's possible to swap the pink, purple and azure bits with tan, and fill the roof up with 2x4 tan bricks?
>>5750906
It's totally doable, anon. If you want to have a ton of Hot Dog Guys, you can even buy multiples of this same set, for a healthy supply of tan parts.
>>5750401
yes, likely, but you'll still be missing the level from venkman's level pack, and will never get the minikits for it and will never get the gold brick from the minikit construct.
>>5750927
You can always convert that seating section to supplies storage.
>>5750906
Swap pink with orange and purpe/azure with dark red.
>>5750994
in my opinion, replace the pink plates on the roof (between the reds) with white.
>>5750906
Personaly I find colors REALLY well put toghether. It would look too dull with browns and tan.
The roofing could look good in lime/green tough!
Alright, who's been starting fires? YOU?
Well we can't have that now, CAN WE?
OH CRAP!
YOU'LL NEVER THREATEN THIS TOWN AGAIN!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
So yeah, this Max build for the MCPD tribe is friggin awesome.

is that like some abstract ass skullface?
For anyone who cares: this will be the item in the next lego star wars magazine. It's supposed to be yoda's hut...
>>5751205
that looks like brick built turtle shit.
>>5751221
It really does.
I guess it has some nice pieces, but it looks like someone just grabbed some green or tan pieces threw them together and declared it to be Yoda's hut.
>>5751205
This will NOT sell well.
>>5750700
>>5751283
This is actually pretty neat.
And now I'm curious if the bootleg Nexo powers work on the game too.
also this
for 2 bucks you get 2 minifigs and trans orange spider legs
>>5751286
>And now I'm curious if the bootleg Nexo powers work on the game too.
Do you genuinely think Lego coded all the bootleg power designs from a Chinese knockoff so they would register as authentic
If so, I have some bad news for you about the bases for the Dimensions knockoff sets.
>>5751286
As far as i know the rim of the shields works similar to a QR-code (every power having a distinct pattern of squares), so if the knockoff company copied this pattern it should work
I never built a Lego without the instructions, so I decided to go out and buy the construction vehicles set and build without instructions. Pic related are my results, what do you think (right thing is supposed to have foldable wings, but I'm missing a piece)?
>>5751322
You did alright anon.
>>5751283
I REALLY have a feeling someone leaked and those are pre designs for this theme.
These are just too unique
>>5751322
I like that small car. Now try to build a mech!
>>5750944
Please note for future reference that ive never even been on /pol/ before, I just like villain figures and feel personally that with how the villains are being represented currently in comics (very risque, very politically charged, using hot button issues to piss people off and drum up a little boost in sales of paper), that it will be a long time if at all that we get MORE of those figures.
Thats all I was really trying to say with it. And the nazis thing, hey, Indiana Jones fought nazis. The Red Skull in the movies and the comics for a long time, has been a nazi. Currently I dont think lego would touch him due to a possible outburst from people. Yeah, they made a couple figs for the movie and one for the comics. Like I was saying about spiderman, they filled their quota.
But its OK, this will be called an autistic /pol/ rant too because the /pol/ boogeyman is REAL and has people jumping at their own shadows as usual.
>>5751465
Dude, you just wrote three paragraphs elaborating about why your previous outburst shouldn't be viewed as an off-topic rant. Nobody cares if you browse /pol/. We just call you out for shitposting on /toy/ about topics that are board-unrelated.
Lego is a for-profit company. They make decisions with an eye toward earning more profits. Selling Nazi minifigs is not profitable in the West. If you don't like it, move to Russia.
Guys, a toy store near me has 20% off on one buy, including Lego.
Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about getting 76051, but I'm open for other sets.
>>5751283
>1 NICK POWERS
Perfect.
>>5751547
>posting set numbers instead of the name of the set, or even an image.
Stop the.
But yes, it's certainly a set worth picking up. GiANT man is a lot of fun and there are some pretty decent figs in the set too. I probably wouldn't bother if you've already got another quinjet though, it's just be a waste then.
>>5751564
Never got a Quinjet before, my only previous Superheroes sets are 76047 and 76050 (the two smaller Civil War sets, pic related, did I do better now?), so it fits.
It triggers my autism that I get dupes of Captain America and Winter Soldier, but at least Captain America is an alternate version from 76047.
God damn just look at this smug asshole. He's probably the only god damn reason the Lego City fire department is still in business.
>>5751585
>79,99€

>>5751704
Where are you?
>>5751734
Finland.
>>5751613
I saw a trans-orange 1x1 with hole in another set, but now I am very excite.
>>5751741
Well met, fellow snownigger, it seems that Lego prices their products differently from country to country, depending on the general level of wealth, and Finland is relatively wealthy compared with most EU countries.
Of course, non-EU countries, like Switzerland, Liechtenstein and my own Norway, are considerably wealthier, and therefore more expensive, but that's for another discussion.
>>5751755
Such is life. I've learned to live with it.
Doesn't mean I have to like it.
>>5751585
>triggers my autism that I get dupes of Captain America and Winter Soldier
Hope you will never get into Ninjago/Nexo Knights.
>>5751770
Bought 70751 and that's it. From what I've heard, it doesn't even feel like a Ninjago set, so it might not even count as "getting into Ninjago".
Just for curiosity's sake, are there even any Ninjago sets that I can buy without getting any of the six ninjas or Wu?
>>5751784
>70751
I'm still pretty surprised that the postman-fig from it is rather cheap, considering that it's an exclusive fig from big D2C set.
I need to get his torso one of these days so I can finish my Darkwing Duck minifig.
Does anyone have a good idea for how to do large ball joint-like moving pieces?
I'm trying to make actual ball-turrets that aren't super shitty for the LAAT/i's wingtips, and the only two answers I can think of that aren't utter shit are...
An actual copy of the ball turrets in the source images etc, so somehow working out a method to make a 'free floating' sphere-ish shape out of lego inside a rounded cage of some kind.
Or make an above and underwing semi sphere that connect via a technic axle and rotate on a horizontal axis together, and then have separate 'laser dishes' that have the vertical movement.
I can fucking see why lego just used printed canopies in the official sets.
>>5751784
>six ninjas or Wu
Nya's samurai mech didn't have any ninja or Wu.
And in prison escape wave the set with Ronin/Nya doesn't have them either.
Still the biggest problem with Action themes for me is that you will usually have several minifigs of one hero and the another one is in the biggest set only.
>>5751800
Fuck, I forgot Nya counts as ninja now.
>>5748445
>Thats like saying Lugosi waving his hands around freakishly is rape.
https://youtu.be/Q7Kx4XIs2tU
>>5751753
The current fire sets already use trans-orange studs to hold fire pieces, they're pretty cool.
>>5751800
Every set has at least 1 ninja. Lego is usually pretty good about creating alternate outfits so you don't get too many doubles.
>>5751561
>So many Nexo knockoffs

Why do people have backlogs? Okay so assuming you're not just scalping them, what reason do you have to not assemble( or part out the pieces of the sets if you're a mocer) as soon as you get them?
Not having enough space/ room is the only thing that really comes to mind. In which case why buy the sets if you cant display/store them? Or why not make room for them?
Maybe it's because I'm poor, but it seems like a massive waste buying sets just to have them sit there in their boxes doing nothing(unless you're selling them later for a profit). The whole concept of a 'backlog' is totally beyond me.
>>5752109
Stop that.
>>5752046
>the Ninjago Ninjas meet the Classic Ninjas
Lloyd meeting the female Green Ninja would be pretty great.
>>5752151
Godspeed you glorious explorer
>>5751032
I've gotten back into Lego thanks to you people this past April, but I've mostly been held to buying small purchases on bricklink and building up some minifig factiona.
Then I bought two mixels. Now I want more, and most of them have been retired for years. Finding old series complete sets in a single store is costly, buying the pieces isn't much cheaper. (Fuck tan bar holders and tan closed end bar 1x2s, why does no one have them in large quantities...)
And there there are the unique nixel faces the cops, doctors, and pirate series have.
And I want enough sets to have both regular mixes and max forms at once.
I promised my wife there'd be no more plastic crack purchases in June.
This isn't sustainable.
>>5752170
Dump the wife. Use her bedroom for more Lego storage.
>>5752173
Sell wife, buy more Lego.
>>5752223
Any time, pardner.
This thread is on page 8, so I'm going to make a new one using the "max images or past page 6" rule.
>>5752173
>Use her bedroom for more Lego storage.
That's overly simplistic and short-sighted, anon.
That room is also valuable real estate which is ideal for a Lego city to sit on.
The Lego storage you gain is under the city.
>>5752153
Because they have more money to buy sets than they have time to build them. So they get what they want and go through them at their own pace, without having to worry about sets retiring before they get to them.
>>5752170
>you people
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY YOU PEOPLE?!
>>5752237
That's retarded, there is a catalog for a reason.
