Fuck I hate how good things never last. Back in the day in 03-04 bzpower was the place to be for all active bionicle discussion. For awhile it was like that here, but with no hype this place is so dead. I feel like there's literally nowhere to find active discussions on bionicle. I wish Lego would've put some more effort like G1 with pack in comics and tons of media to explore. It sucks because I want to like G2 and it has the potential, but it just seems like lego is just releasing sets and doing the bare minimum for it's "supposed fans and franchise they care about". As for the limbs I tried using what little dark red CCBS I had, but they're more placeholder limbs till I can make better ones (which may be never as limbs are NOT my specialty). Glad you like the torso tho - that was my favorite part of making this whole thing.

I've only ever pictured this as Jaller once before, and it was another alternate universe thing - only this time it was a universe where Zaktan shot a hole through Matoros cheat in front of Jaller, who became enraged and broke the Toa Code by smashing Zaktans head in with a cylinder of protodermis. He felt so much shame that he went and ran off and that's where our stories meet.

So. I want to attach a G1 mask to a G2 body. how do I go about this without being a Heretic? I've seen people convert the size-2 bones into necks, but....I'd rather not destroy a part to do that.

You could probably order the magazine online but if that's all your interested in you'd be better off just bricklinking the parts. Also the eagle doesn't officially come out for two months. I still think the gold Mask of Creation still looks really out-of-place on him, but I like the gold shell atop the hammer.

Also love the use of the combined Destroyer torso on your upgrade. Maybe give him double-jointed thighs like pic related though? Extending both his arms and torso make his legs look a little short

neither holes work. one is set too high, which means you see a third of the head below the chin of the mask, and the other, which is on top of the head doesn't make eyes appear. There's a friend who made a metru/mata mask adapter for the 2015 head on shapeways though, if you don't find any convincing alternative.

Well it's possible to use a Mata head on a CCBS torso by using a Mata hand but unless you're using a big mask it looks weird.

On a side note holy fuck this is the greatest discovery I've made yet.

I found these old cheap ass dinosaur playsets in my attic - those Discovery Channel ones you find in Toys R Us or some similar knock off - that used a T axle connection to fit the backpacks into the human figures and it turns out it's completely compatible with Lego axles. I made this little hiker dude with it since he's the only one sized right for it.

Just like his brother Quake Beast, I was dreading Storm Beast somewhat. Figured I'd have to do some drastic fiddling - turns out I was wrong.

In fact, not much looks different from the front. Changed the forearms, shortened the 'thumb' claw and gave him a bit more of his elemental colours - which again, contrary to my initial thoughts, did not mean more navy blue.

Whenever I 'fix' sets I strive to keep them as close to their original shape as possible and to keep them looking like official Lego products. This 'marionette' mechanism is really cool, so I didn't want to get rid of it.

The problem with the back, to my mind, was not how bare it was but how much the mechanism 'popped', being made from light grey pieces. I replaced most of them with black ones, then made the tail bones Trans. Light Blue to draw more attention there.

Since the thread is pretty slow, I wanted to post a small update on that WIP. The kakana holds using friction from the flexible double axle connector. I would love to make the part that holds the katana in place smaller and integrate another flexible piece but it seems pretty hard to keep it in a 2x2 space.

The mess that was Ekimu turned out to be the quintessential G2 set and the beasts and Umarak are surprisingly fun.
Even Quake Beast looks pretty great when you rotate a bunch of parts around.

In other words: toyfare pictures suck ass - as usual.

Plot twist - Slizers create the cyberspace realm that the RoboRiders species and launch it into space on a flash drive or something when the asteroid hits the Slizer planet and plunges the race into extinction. The RoboRiders then get hit with the Virus and while they succeed in wiping out most of it the only option to keep the species alive is to send some of their race out of Cyberspace in physical bodies. Doing this causes some memory loss but grants them godlike powers. They land on a planet known as Spherus Magna and are known as the Great Beings.

a friend of mine gave me a second reddish Brown inika armor so I just had two to order on Bricklink, and I found a way to incorporate a swivel in the forearm so the wrist isn't static anymore. I'll also build an articulated frame for the scarf using mixel joints so it can hold different positions.
