What's the best voyager sized Prime/Megatron, 3P or Hastak? Looking for one that's a good overall representative for my collection. Currently I use the Takara versions of the WfC Optimus/Megs but scalewise they're starting to look a bit small compared to the voyagers.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Megatron you're shit outta luck. They can't even make a good MP of the guy if you want a gun Megs, and the 3P gun Megs are equally kind of trashy because no one has managed a good transformation for him yet.

Honestly I feel like the Sandstorm backpack restricts arm movement too much, plus you lose the sword. And I like Springer's car mode better.

Sandstorm has much better colors, but maybe you can get lucky and find one of the repaints of Springer.

There haven't been a large amount at that scale surprisingly.
The old Classics Optimus mold is likely still the best voyager sized one.
As for Megatron it's even more of a mess
Cloud Megatron is the best voyager size but enjoy the arm and leg cost for him.
There was an Asian market G2 of that one but I feel the colors were to clashing for the mold.

It wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that so many of these toys could be released in a bunch of color schemes that fans would really want. Take MP Soundwave - a bunch of people wanted him and the original was a bit hard to find. Why put him out in random beige and clear? Why not Soundblaster? Marvel purple? Why not make the cassettes into stuff like Howlback, Sundor, etc instead of totally bland?

FE Optimus is my favorite.
It has good articulation, a lot of presence, and zero kibble.

The only downsides are that his shins just hang in there rather than tab into anything, though it has never given me any trouble, and shitty rubber pieces that are just waiting to rot on you no matter how well you take care of it.
I have the issue of not finding a Megatron that is on his level because HasTak tried to be funny with TF:P and made the corresponding FE Megatron a deluxe.

There's already a Classics Wheeljack and Generations Trailbreaker that are good, without the compromises made for a combiner. There's a much better Hound too but at least the Swindle mode makes the fewest sacrifices to be a good standalone toy. Ratchet is only acceptable if you HAVE to have a Deluxe Ratchet and the Prime one makes your tism tingle, though I don't see how Ratchet being a Combiner wouldn't bother you in that case.

You are overpaying for gimmick versions of characters that are only okay toys in spite of their gimmick.
