He's even more difficult to stand than the 2" toon link surprisingly. The tunic is rubbery at the bottom so it can flex with the legs, but there's no ankle tilt or swivel so you pretty much have to display him flat footed on the ground. Falco tho...

the problem has always been with jakks' distribution and cataloging.

each SIZE of these WoN figures have the same SKU.

all 2.5" have the same sku.
all 4" have the same sku
all 6" have the same sku.

so you can't which specific toys you're actually selling, just by size class. Imagine how fucked series like transformers would be if they did that.

jakks is doing it though! that's why the 6" line never got past wave 2, since every fucking store was choked with 6" retard donkey kongs, and the high demand stuff like Metroid got scalped to high heaven, because there was literally no way to track what was being sent where.

I think Koopa might be my favorite out of the new wave. He's like Bowser Jr. in terms of just a feel of quality with great articulation. I'm going to be picking up another tomorrow if they still have him.

I've got the whole wave preordered on BBTS. I hope they don't take TOO long to get them in.

I had a pretty lucky couple of days, picked up Waluigi and a Metroid, passed up on a Gravity Suit Samus, and my K-Mart still has a single Fox McCloud sitting on the shelves that has been there for about a month now.

My Target has had a Wario doing the same for much longer so I'm hoping that's still the case so I can pick him up and pair him with Waluigi now.

Anyway, anybody out there have any suggestions for a stand to use with this Metroid? It's nice but it feels weird to not have it floating in air.

You better grab one sooner rather than later, Jakks announced it's fulfilling remaining orders then discontinuing all 6 inch won items. Any retail or close to retail price you see grab it. Price went down on the aftermarket late last year when it hit wide online release but it's creeping back up.

eBay has some relatively fair sellers right now. I wouldn't pay more than 35 shipped for one if you're desperate. Some guy is selling them in pairs with a best offer.

If you need Bowser check eBay there might be some resellers clearing inventory. They also go loose for around 20ish used on eBay.

Bowser is a great value for his size. Not the best, but absolutely worth it, if you can get it under 35 shipped.

I have the Bowser figuarts. It's a little small. The scale is off. But you know what? It looks fucking nice, the sculpt is gorgeous, and it doesn't have the greasy shine of a child's playtoy like the Jakks one has.

I saw hundreds upon hundreds of Jakks Bowsers throughout the months where I live in NYC (mostly at the Toys R Us that closed, and at Nintendo Store, etc.)...I passed on them because he looks gross IMO. If you care about scale, I understand, but I care way more about sculpt.

I had the Meowth and the Pikachu ones. The first wave of those electronic figures was directly taken from Tomy and placed in American packaging because Pokemon became an overnight hit and they wanted to get the toys out before Christmas of that year. So the first run of Meowth figures speaks Japanese because they rushed to get the figures in stores. It really messed with me when I first played with it, was completely unexpected.

I do recall reading that the later versions had the Japanese replaced with the American VA from the cartoon but I never owned another to know.
