It's acceptable considering Neca's price point and the amount of accessories and paint/sculpt work the figure has, but the articulation is nowhere near as good as jap figures. Expect mostly basic standing poses.

You'll get like 90° of motion at the elbows and knees at most. If you come in expecting nothing but garbage, you'll be very pleased. If your expectations are at the level of what you already have, you'll be painfully disappointed.

Xeno number is limited to the amount of population they can cocoon and facehug. For example in Alien 2 there were 250ish colonists minus Newt, so that's the limit on the amount they can impregnate and breed Xeno warriors out of. Also having the Queen to be limited to big Xeno who can be overpowered with essentially a forklift utility vehicle was lame (well it was cool when Ripley did it but in retrospect anyone could've done it).

Considering that NECA had made a couple of original Kenner inspired Preds, it would be really interesting to see whether there is an original "Kenner inspired" alien.

Anything from King Alien, to Queen sized dinosaur alien hybrid would be utterly nuts. I still cannot fathom who are the target audience for all the 1/4 scale figures NECA made, but a gigantic dino-alien or variation thereof would be super rad

The alien warriors in Aliens are bulletproof to some degree.

Small caliber weapons like the handgun Vasquez fires at the xeno in the air ducts just bounce off its dome. This could be explained as their exoskeletons hardening/maturing to a point where they become immune or resistant to any bullets that aren't explosive like the pulse rifle's or pack a big enough punch like Hicks shotgun.

Big Chap might have became bulletproof if he was alive long enough, that's my headcanon anyways.

I got Terminator Genisys Pops in the mail yesterday.
I know I'm kinda slowpoking here, but I finally had enough wiggling room in my purchases to get him. I think he's pretty great. Actually as a figure, I think it's better than the Ultimate one. The likeness seems to be ever so slightly better when comparing it to the Ultimate's sunglassesless face. But the Ultimate one wins out due to better accessories and of course being based on the superior movie. Posing him with the T2 one is fun and I can't wait until we get the T1 figures just for more of that.

In terms of figures? Dog Alien is the best, followed closely by AvP warrior.
In terms of movies? Big Chap, followed closely by Aliens warrior.

Some may think AvP warrior is the best figure and Aliens warrior the best design, that's subjective, but you can't go wrong with any of these.
Just keep in mind that a movie fan might dislike Dog or AvP since the movies didn't pleased most of the fan base.

Literally don't sweat it, newcomers. Neca's SDCC stuff is easy to get outside of the show, and it also has a high probability of being wide released as either retail singles or in a non-NES format. They're not going to go through the expense of making the molds and paying for a license just to have them used in a 5k-unit figure run.

We'll definitely see these molds used again (The turtle ones atleast, Shredder and Foot Ninjas arent new) Since they wouldn't sculpt and tool all new turtles just for a con exclusive. BUT that doesnt mean we'll see them in 6". The reason we havent gotten TMNT figures from NECA in soo long is because playmates won't let them, since they have the rights for TMNT in that scale. My guess is the only reason we're getting them like this is cus its a SDCC exclusive and the NES Colors are so unique (That's why mattel let NECA do NES Batman)

When we see these sculpts again itt'l probably be in the quarter scale, like the movie Turtles NECA is doing.

Sooooo, NECA just sorta dropped this.

Fully Articulated Part 2 Ultimate Freddy...

So I guess theyre gonna start rereleasing all the Freddys they did with articulated legs and more accessories.

I'm glad I didnt get the original releases then. But it kinda makes me bummed knowing theyre not going to do this for Leatherface, or Jason. I know Ultimate Part 3 Jason is happening but they dont give Jason nearly as much love as freddy. Although I understand why, Freddy is #1 in sales for horror icons.
But I just don't want an imbalance. I have one Ultimate of Each Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface. Now its gonna be a buncha freddys, 1 jason and 1 leatherface.

I just don't understand why it's not going to be an Ultimate figure.. I know theyre saying it's to finish off the original line, but c'mon. Why not just put him in the window box, with the accessories from the original cult classics release akong with the new ones and call it an ultimate? With a "In loving memory of Wes Craven" on the back


And remember when the Ultimate line was originally meant to be one figure per character? Now we got like 3 terminators, and a second ultimate freddy and Ultimate Jason. (Hope they fix the legs on that part 3 Jason. They didn't for the last 3 times they released that mold, so I doubt they will this next time.)
I'm not complaining about characters getting more than one figure in the ultimate line, I'm glad we are, it just kinda makes it lose some integrity, but whatever, it's a toy line.
