Thanks Satan!

Here's what my rough idea looks like, at the moment. It's literally Kai's Fire Mech in Nexo colors. I ran out of parts, so it's at 50/50. The right side, I'm trying the scheme for regular grunts. Left side, I want to color code it to Lance, Macy, Aaron, and Clay. Since Axl is a bit weird looking and I don't own him yet, I'll pass for his version. Plus I want to add a head of some sort like the King's Mech I just cannibalized to get the color pieces.

Also planning on a brick-built related power for every shield I own. From there, I'll start expanding on how to personalize each one, and maybe even incorporate the stuff from their Ultimate sets. Looking forward to Macy because of her gatling gun.

Thoughts/Suggestions/Improvements?

Also, I might build one for Lava dudes or Jestro, but I'm at a loss on what to do since I'd rather buy all 80% of my parts at one BL store since searching for parts is a nightmare.

Since you all are so nice and great I decided to give back abit.

I figured drop an email here and i'll write down entries and try a Random Number generator for the winner?
I have two and would like if people would have enough honor that if they have a Shark Man already they would sit this one out.
Giving others who don't have one a better chance.

I had these old lavenderish skateboard wheels from belville or something that are quite rare(and almost lost them) and was really excited to combine them with a blue board for extra cool vibes.

Heh guys. Hummerman again.

I just have a quick question about my RC car:

I figured out a Return-To-Center steering module that works like a charm. Only thing is, it uses a lot of rubber bands. It uses 2 white 3x3 stud diameter LEGO Rubber Bands, the ones from the Clone Wars AT-TE, I think, and a 3/4 inch diameter office rubber band. It may seem pretty tight, but it works just fine and I can push it with just a couple fingers.

Only thing is, will an M motor do fine, or will I need an L motor? I plan on using an XL motor for the Rear Wheel Drive system, so I don't want the front wheels to turn so quickly that the car flips, but I also need the motor to be able to push against the bands. So, M motor or L motor for steering?

Sorry for shitty picture. Hands are shaky from sweeping my deck.

>>
>>5623122
Is that because of arm snap or is it just really hot and cold wherever you are? I haven't seen a fix for this that actually worked. Even when using superglue and using a vice, the crack could technically seal but you'll still be left with an ugly black line. Not the most satisfying fix job.
>>
>>5623135
Is superglue even safe to use with ABS? I know some materials just fucking melt when exposed to superglue. I also thought maybe his issue is climate. That kind of worries me because I live in michigan and our climate is notoriously shitty and random as fuck.

Couldn't have said it better myself. And they bitch about repetition, but they keep bringing the hulkbuster guy up over and over again.
>>
>>5623136
Not too sure if it's safe to use on ABS. But googling "cracked torso repair", the suggestion to use superglue and tweezers to apply a dab pops out.
>>
>>5623136
>Is superglue even safe to use with ABS?

No sir it'll deform the bonded areas and make everything around it look like a dried out salt lake.

>>5623122

There's a thing called "Plastic Weld" which is a clear runny solvent specially designed to bond ABS. It's pretty expensive, but you only need a tiny amount applied with a small paintbrush.
>>
>>5623148
Awesome clarification there. Would plastic weld also leave behind black line stains after bonding? would take picture now as example but fig example is currently at home.
>>
>>5623145
Ah, ok. Well, as someone who has used it extensively with warhammer shit and models in general, I would NOT suggest it for lego repair. It is messy as fuck, instant stick, will leave residue and even chunky shit behind if not done properly and generally is just a pain in the ass to use. Honestly I would try hot glue maybe to start with, but that might be too hot for the plastic to handle.

I just finished a MOC today. It showcases a group of adventurers travelling through a countryside setting. They are passing a house, and the residents, a wife and husband with their dog wave at them as they pass by onwards. The group of adventurers is made of a wise wizard, a rogue, some knights, warriors, an elf archer, a berserk and some soldiers, as well as a horse to help them carry their supplies.
>>
>>5623148
you nailed it before me. Also good call on the plastic weld, ill have to keep that in mind for future reference if any of mine start to crack, or for whenever I get my old treasure trove of lego out of storage as I know for sure I have a bunch of older figs that went through hell.
>>
>>5623151

From the few times I've used it, it hasn't discoloured the fixed area, but you should prepare for the fix to be as visible as a moulding seam at worst. This still might not be ideal though.

LEGO Digital Designer: it's an official program distributed by The LEGO Group, that contains a large portion of the parts library over the years, and programming that knows how to connect parts (and when they shouldn't be connected).

It used to have an additional service where you could order your models and have them delivered, but it has proved to be too expensive to maintain, and now LDD sits by itself, receiving parts updates very slowly.

for ME it took them about a month to get back to me, and the application form had already been up for a month by the time I applied.
The main reason for this I THINK is because they only hire in quarters.
>>5623847
Okay, so after about a month of waiting, the assistant manage gave me a call and was like "You still want to work with us? Come by Sunday for a "Group Audition""
So I head down there, and there were like 7 other people there. All pretty qualified, all older than me.
The very first thing they had us do was build something with the "Pick a Brick" bricks, that we got to keep and take home (I'll take a picture of what I built in a second).
They asked us to tell the "story" of our build, after that, in whatever way we wanted to talk about it.
Then we played two truths and a lie, they asked what our "relationship to the lego brick" was, an they asked us about a time we "made someone's day".
This whole process took about an hour and a half. Mostly because they also talked a LOT about our goals as brick specialists and the quality standard TLG has.
Part 2 about the actual interview?

If anyone on /lg/ isn't yet convinced of the magic that is Simple Green, I've got something to show you. Before I do, a little bit of backstory.

As a kid, I thought this set was the coolest shit ever, but it was one Forestmen set that my local Kmart never carried, leaving me to lust after it in the catalog. The main reason I wanted it was the sweet river baseplate. Since I couldn't get a real one, I did the next best thing...

131KB, 800x600px
Well, what works best for making a river when you only have a few non-crater, non-road plates to work with? Of course, oil paint! Just glom that shit on nice and thick so you can barely click anything onto that part of it.

One of the only times that this plate has appeared in a game was the very first episode, when Spaceman had to cross it. Ever since then I've only used it if I could cover or otherwise disguise the river part.

A couple weeks ago I finally got around to soaking it in Simple Green. The first few days I actually had it in a tub and kept a shallow level of SG, but a week or ten days ago I switched to the spray bottle that makes foam. I kept it coated and rinsed it in hot water every night while giving it a good scrubbing...

There's still a tiny bit of residue around the bases some of the studs, but it's so minute that unless I focus directly on it like this, it'll never show up. Took a bit of work and some time, but I am very happy with the results.

The non-scientific explanation for this is that ABS plastic (which Legoes is made out of) doesn't react to the stuff in Simple Green, so it dissolves all the crap on the piece and doesn't harm the actual piece at all. So far I've used it to take spray paint and oil paint off of baseplates.

Alrighty then.
For a triangle bikini I think some string or a chain would work best as the upper straps, with the bricks around the upper waist/below the elbows being colored to reflect this as well. I'm not sure, however, how you'd get the boobs under the bikini, nor the general bikini shape. One idea for this could be to use 47458 bricks, but I'm not sure if this would quite give you the shapes you wanted.

Along with Medium, I included Super-type A. If you can think up some better looking cleavage than what I have I'd love to see it.

And now with the next wave I can go back to not caring about it.
>>

aside from the airjitzu temple, those steampunk villain crafts really are the best of the line

This is great, I'm going to make some for my spacies.

Yeah, I'd definitely tell them, if only to save someone else having their order messed up because that seller's stock level won't be accurate. Most sellers will appreciate the honesty and let you keep them, or offer to eat the costs of sending them back plus a coupon or such for the inconvenience.

I like this idea!
Do you have backgrounds for the other space themes?

I guess this is my current setup. I build all sets and gunpla on this scene.
The Chase McCain truck, Secret Police and Plo Koon Fighter don't sit there anymore.

Really? Wow.

First of all I'm sorry for your loss anon, but also it's fantastic that they have that policy in place; allowing customers first dibs, rather than having stock disappear because some greedy employee wanted some sweet scalper money.

Yeah I told him and turns out he was in a hurry and fucked up. I'll get postage back as a store coupon.
Tbh I have no need for the surplus gators anyway since I got all I needed for pic related.
I normally wouldn't give a shit bc free klocki but as a fairly regular buyer from the guy it's best to keep things on good terms.

There are so many Disney characters they could make, I'd be really disappointed if they wasted a space with a repaint.

Although they did reissue the Toy Story alien so maybe it'll happen.
>>
>>5625434
>reissue the Toy Story alien
And Buzz's space armor is the same as the old piece, isn't it?
>>
>>5625442

I give that a pass because I prefer the lego head to the large 'action figure' style head he had in the original Toy Story line, but yeah, it's pretty much the same figure.

No he was baptized on the 26th. It was traditional to wait three days to baptize a child after birth.
>>

This only ever happened to torsos that I popped the arms out of. If you're going to do that, rotate the arm up first and pull down from the shoulder to pop it out. Even still, you run the chance of cracking. Newer torsos are reinforced better.
