I can't say for the entire Scandinavia, but here they are usually pretty slow and tend to skip waves sometimes.

What bothers me the most is how fucked up the pricing is.
Roughly estimated CW Deluxes right now are almost 50 bucks and Voyagers about 60, at least at the big retailers.

We did get the CW Devy box set at around 240 dollars, so I might get that one if it goes on clearance.

Only thing that can go wrong is if takara somehow fucks up the colors, I already know what they'll use but the silhouette shot made it look like that still where his chest was lighting up, if they include that in a meaningful way (ie not metallic stickers) it'd trump hasbro's in retools and color alone.

The hasbro one has stickers on the torso, and that isn't a good thing at all.

literally youtube skylynx fix, first video is what helped me, you just need 2 different screw drivers.

Note that this only fixes the gestalt legs/front leg ratchets, the rear feet of the robot mode will require a screw driver and or pledge to tighten them.

I managed to get one tighter via screw driver alone but the other is tight as is, so i'll need to coat the screw hole

But of course they suck, jack of all trades, master of none, they do ok as hands and as feet you need the rear spurs to really do the work though no ankle tilts...and the new hands don't articulate better than the previous, just look mildly better and that's just an opinion you can discard.

I'm not acting like they aren't an improvement, its subjective, as hand held weapons the hfg's suck BUT as vehicle mounted weapons they do the trick in homaging those odd cannons the g1 toys had, with the ability to store somewhere useful in robot mode when not combined.

For me personally I'm fine with the hfg's, though if takara release the new hands and feet separately I wouldn't mind grabbing a few, I'll paint them myself too if required, otherwise I'm content saving money.

Yes I can understand Chinese.
The overall feeling this is a 8/10.
There are some small problems such as the head keeps falling down into the chest, and the looseness of the inner peg for holding the leg together.
The articulation is great on the torso, but the lower part is really iffy with the clip on the back of the knee. Don't see a reason why that part can't be collapsed.

I would say this would be a find MP. After all the MP line is more about proper look and transformation. Other big MPs (MP10/Seekers- bad waist, soundwave- the joints are there, but pretty much pointless) all suffer in the leg articulation department, so you can't hold this again shockwave.

Because those are box sets so you are guaranteed to have all 4 limbs and both hands and feet. My apartment is carpeted, but that didn't stop my CW Hot Rod's spoiler from breaking a nub off when it dropped. Still amazed that happened, considering some of the other shit I've dropped was much bigger and weightier, and didn't so much as even flinch much when hitting the floor.

Menasor has some topheaviness problems and kind of a weird look without the PE plastic back support kit. He's the C in a line of B's.

Superion is basically the best combiner next to Bruticus in terms of stability. He's the A in a line of B's.

I own both, UW versions as well, and I liked them both, but I did eventually get the PE set for Menasor just to fill him out a bit.

Oh, just so you know though, Wildrider/Brake-Neck is gonna be scalped like a motherfucker. The others might be by now, too, since Menasor and his components were one of the first in the line. So if you want the original team without being buggered by scalpers, you're probably going to want a UW set.

Tank mode is fine if you get past the turret being unable to turn (and no actual treads, but what do you expect from a limb bot), leg mode is fine, arm mode is serviceable, but the robot mode is atrocious.
He's the only CW limb I would outright say is bad.

Motormaster is a decent truck and robot, but the weakest of the torsos.
Dead End/Wildrider is possibly one of the best CW molds. But even if you don't find him amazing, he will be solid.
Dragstrip is a bit of an oddity, being the only CW limb with pull-out legs over "re-shelling" legs. He's decent, but nothing special.
Breakdown is the most contentious. His hips are weird, and depending on the tolerances, you might find them insufferable. Car and limb modes are nice.
Blackjack, while not needed, is one of my favorite recent legends, I really recommend him.

The CW Stunticons are pretty good, but you'd be better off buying the Takara Unite Warriors set instead and buying a Hasbro Offroad on the side if you feel so inclined to.

The US versions of Wildrider and Dragstrip have gone up to rapetastic prices if I remember correctly- at least for dragstrip, anyway, his wavemates all skyrocketed in price, but I'm not 100% sure for dragstrip.

If you're only planning on buying it to GATTAI for Menasor, though, prepare to be disappointed. Motormaster is really shitty in combined mode compared to Superion and Bruticus/Defensor.

But as individual toys, they're fun, simple figures. Combined mode is passable, but it just looks really bad in comparison to the super solid torso bots for other combiners we've gotten.

I rather like them quite a bit. Some people give Menasor flack for his legs/thighs/whatever but you can fiddle with them so they aren't an issue. I think he looks great. Offroad probably has one of the best head sculpts in the Combiner Wars line, or you can pick up the glorious neon G2 Menasor. The choices are yours, and yours alone!!

My eBay haul came in and I just found Windblade at Ross for $7. Just like the Scoop I got on Friday I had no care for this mold at $15, but $7 I have no issue with.

Roadbuster is not bad at all. Solid, but the backpack gun is really fiddly. Needs bicep swivels.

Armorhide was bought because of y'all. Got him for $8 shipped. Hes...not bad. His shoulders are shit, but it can be fixed with some shaving. He goes well with Roadbuster. I wanted the black version, but his eBay prices are stupid.

I have no experience with the Windblade mold, but I won't complain at the price. I'm still getting the RID version that looks like a better figure with not better paint.

Didn't watch the whole thing but it seemed to me like every time the head fell back into the chest, he was actively pushing it or fucking with it. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to pose the rest of him while not touching his head or having to press your thumb on the head itself for leverage to move another joint. When he was showing off the articulation for the head, he didn't seem to have any problems keeping it from falling into the chest besides when he was showing the downward range but, again, he was achieving this by pressing down on it instead of grabbing it with two fingers and orienting it to the desired position.

Is the CW Devastator playset worth the current three digit price tag? I'm a first time collector for CW in general (more of an enthusiast who's content to just look at the toys on the internet instead of actually getting them, though I am considering grabbing Superion or Defensor as my first purchase once I get paid), so I have no idea whether or not I'd get screwed over.

Then again, 18" of mean, green, Decepticon(sp?) machine does have a certain charm to it...

Well the cw is more cheaper than the UW version, does feature alot less though as a devastator alone he works wonders.

I've seen some cheap deals of him, you won't get him at a 2 digit price tag that's for sure.

Devastator is pretty decent. You get six BIG toys that all looks pretty damn G1. You don't get hyper-articulated guys though, if posing the individual guys matters a lot. But overall, I'd say he's worth his retail price. Although, you might get more band for your buck on a per dollar basis on the Superion or other giftsets.

Optimus looks like ass in alt mode thanks to the clear side panels but his bot mode looks just fine.

Megatron looks for the most part alright in both modes but only if you're willing to accept some Nerf tier colors.

I believe both molds generally go for about $50ish but it has been a while since I last checked. If you want a more consistently decorated Prime in that mold, I'd say look for Classics or Henkei. There was also another version that came out recently that I believe came in a two-pack with Evasion Prime (correct me if I'm wrong) that was ok looking but had weird chrome thighs and the clear windshield was kinda visually bland.

If you want a more accurately colored Megatron, go for United. If you want slightly more accurately colored with more diversity in the paint apps, then Henkei Megs. There's also Classics Megs but his color scheme is even more Nerf-like with purples and greens.

I'll say this. I was able to get Devastator for $100. I also preordered the elbows. I got Devs weeks before the elbows even released. I did enjoy him even without the elbows, though scrapper and long hauls bothered me. The rest we're fine.

By the time the elbows arrived I was so used to having them combined that it wasn't a huge deal. You'll get over the elbows eventually.

Honestly, the clear plastic doesn't seem to be too big of a deal with him, at least on my figure. You're never doing any particularly extreme movements to get them to fit together or pull apart and they go together and pull apart with little actual resistance. Honestly, I've encountered scarier tabs on some non-translucent figures than the ones on Shockwave's legs and arms. His feel surprisingly solid.

Just get the UW version. More accurate paint, better features. Yeah it's $50 or so more, but you'd pay that much anyway for addon kits to give it the same functionality as the UW.

I got that set for Christmas several years ago, and that 'battle damage' totally ruins the aesthetics of the characters.

Also they both have that 'punching' action when you twist them, and Optimus wouldn't stay facing straight forward out of the box due to it.

You know, speaking of all of the seakers, I have Starscream and Thundercracker, but now I feel like I should really have a Skywarp to go with them. But I don't want a repaint since my Starscream is FOC and Thundercracker is the Classics mold. Is there another deluxe sized Skywarp that would look good next to those other 2?
