Most of the sites I saw limited purchases to 3 per household and so they must think it'll be hot. But I was really disappointed that Bluefin isn't bothering to import it. Then again, the last round of Pokémon sat and sat and sat. I kick myself for not ordering CharIzard but at the time nobody was touching the couple before it and he ended up sitting for months too.

Man they just aren't making smart decisions with the Pokemon figuarts. Before this, it was Mega Blaziken, which despite being a pretty well executed figure, and possibly the Pokemon Figuarts with the most range of movement, was a character with little nostalgic appeal to most older fans.
Now they finally make a Pokemon with really wide appeal, Pikachu, and it looks like dogshit. I still can't believe that prototype made it this far. Looks like the worst Figuarts shit we've gotten wince the One Piece ones.

I agree! Mega-Blaziken was a weird choice. He's also a bit of a combo-breaker because of his mega-evolution, and it's why I wasn't that interested in him. It's the same for shitty Pikachu.

I think a smarter decision would've been to produce figuarts of the regular evolved starters from each Gen. They're already popular and well know and would be more appealing to a collector. I haven't played some of the new games yet, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick up their figures. Feraligatr, Greninja, Infernape, Delphex, Samurott etc would be so cool as figuarts. Even the dull ones like Meganium.

Samurott is SO fucking horribly hideous. His first two forms were amazingly cool. I don't understand why it turned into such an ugly faggot in its final evolution. I just couldn't evolve mine past second form. First two forms were bad ass humanoid kimono otter monsters, then it turns into some freakishly ugly finned seal bitch with a narwhal helmet.
