Eh, it uses LR44s and I've never seen them leak despite having some left in for ages.

The reality is that it's in that value range where serious collectors already have it and anybody else interested is too poor/cheap to pay for it. It's like trying to sell an MP-10 today; great to but absolutely no market for it.

I actually own an orange Energon Unicron that still uses the very same batteries it included, and the lights still work perfectly fine, I just checked.

My Primus electronics on the other hand got fucked by leaking batteries.

Button cells are great if only for this reason.
