They are way more user friendly than any Revo hip articulation. You shouldn't worry about it.

Hey, wanna hear something funny? After I posted this, one of the thrusters on the knee came off for no discernible reason. Tried twice to glue it back on but now the slot is just filled with glue since it wasn't strong enough to hold, and I fucked up the surrounding part of the knee trying to get some of it out.
Either I'm retarded or Kaiyodo is.

Is there another type of adhesive I could use? I'd rather not use superglue for obvious reasons.

why are some revoltech joints super loose, but others just right?

Figure with the older joints maybe? All of my Revo's with the newer joint style are good, the older ones have floppy syndrome.
>>
>>5568375

Yeah, older figures. I've started to get the QB line. My Nanael's elbow is super loose compared to her other joints
>>
>>5568379

Did you get her Legacy? If not, thats probably why. Legacy versions have the newer joint styles.

And just as an example for comparison, I've got Legacy Cattleya and Alleyene, and Sigui who was made after the newer joints debut. They're fine.

But my Echidna and Leina have super floppy torso's and Echidna's hair revo ball is loose as shit. I really need to get some replacement joints for their torsos, color won't matter there since it'll be hidden inside the bodies anyway.
>>
>>5568385

Siggy got some lazy eyes, bruh. Yeah, both of my Nanael's are the regular release. Same as my Airi.

Does the Menace have the newer or older joints?

Oh shit ha ha, I see what you mean.

It's actually just her hair. She's looking to the side on that face but due to the angle I had her at it cuts off the white of her left eye. Oops.

Menace IIRC is probably older joints. She was an early on figure. Same with Melona. It's a bit of a mess really, some of the QB revo's have the fixed joints because they released when revo made their newer style joints, any that have Legacy releases have fixed joints.

Just a tip from an old fa/tg/uy, but you could try model glue for plastic assuming it's the kind that will work on this plastic.

Be warned though, it literally melts plastic together. Nothing will make a stronger bond, but you better do it right the first time or you're fucked.
>>
>>5568365
Depends on how long ago it was released and which size joints they are. The smaller joints on the older releases tend to be pretty loose or fall apart.

Eh. My friend has Eva 01 and It's got some real shitty engineering around the legs. No fun to pose compared to a revo, although I suppose the balance is better.
>>
I'm probably going to pick up a pack of hobby base joints just to see how they work in place of the normal clickys for knees/hips/whatever too, but what sizes am I looking for? And from what I'm seeing, am I right in assuming they don't come in the double joint variety like for ultron or raiden's shoulders?

The RD Eva figures would be fun to pose if the hips weren't obscenely tight and therefore creating a breakage risk any time you want to do anything.

>Different kinds of Dark Magicians I guess.

Not really, all of the represent the same character. They're just alternate designs.
>>
>>5571105
Ugh people like this annoy the shit out of me, do you even understand what's going on?
The Vulcanlog one is Yugi Muto and the Figma is Yami Yugi, they are two completely different characters. I understand that you don't know much about the show and just want another meme figure but at least try to look into the source material before you decide to talk.
>>
>>5571394
... no, it's not. Black Magician is the card's name in Japan, Dark Magician in the US.

>>5571100
>>
>>5571375
Well I know they're the same card, but couldn't they represent a different instance of the character? Nothing seems to indicate that Dark Magician is one unique character, just like how there are multiple Blue Eyes. In fact that red, malicious looking one could easily be a Dark Magician who maybe isn't quite as noble as the one Yugi uses. Or the Dark Magician of Chaos, as a Dark Magician who... is of Chaos, and is thus a bit stronger and what not.

>>5571378
I meant in-universe. The red one even fought the regular one and they each had definite differences in their faces. No reason they're not different instances. If those versions were to be summoned by Yugi or whoever they'd be different, just like this movie one.

Probably going a little too deeply into this, but characters like Jinzo and Gaia would be unique in the sense that they are characters, and not instances of a character, like Celtic Guardian or Feral Imp or other such monsters.
>>
>>5571395

If you want a duel disk compatible for figma, look for Mattel's 6inch figure line.

You're so fucking wrong it isn't even funny. I know the difference between Yugi Muto and Atem, and I also know that the Vulcanlog is Yugi after the end of the original series, from the new movie. A bit taller, with a more serious expression that reminds of Atem, but still Yugi Muto. One must be a retard or someone who doesn't know anything about the manga/anime to not notice the different eyes, lack of the three spikes of gold hair and missing Millenium Puzzle.

That doesn't change the fact that the figma seems the better figure of the two. If someone wants just one figure from the main character of the show (and both Atem and Yugi were pretty much the main character), the figma looks like the better option unless you like Yugi better than Atem.

>Well I know they're the same card, but couldn't they represent a different instance of the character? Nothing seems to indicate that Dark Magician is one unique character

Wrong. You should watch the Millenium World Arc, pic related.

>>
>>5571863
>should watch millennium arc

Ya, sure, but then how do you explain the cards with variance? You can't tell me yugi's dark magician is the same as the red one.
>>
>>5571893
No wait, I misread yours, never mind.
>>
>>5571897
>You can't tell me yugi's dark magician is the same as the red one.

It actually is. The author didn't think that far ahead into the story at that point, but the Millenum World Arc explains the backstory of Black/Dark Magician.

If you need to have an explanation in-universe, you could just say that Pegasus was just fucking around and making variations of the same thing.
>>
>>5571926
That's more or less fair enough and something I was thinking, but even MTG with art variations it kind of just feels like those are alternate versions of those creatures, whether from different planes or what not. Whenever blue eyes is drawn it's always the same way, just like most DMs, but once in a while, like this red or black one, the art is significantly different and seems to be implying it's a different character, hence the more malicious look on the red one. I'd buy that the main DM that we all know definitely has his own history, but I don't see why the red one couldn't also.

But true that in-universe Pegasus is the one making them, so he could always just do whatever he wants and have variation for fun, though I'm pretty sure for at least most of the cards he used the tablets as inspiration, so maybe there were variations there too.
>>
>>5571863
There's no pretty much about it, Muto was the main character and Yami was his minion sudekick. Agumon isn't the main character and pikachu isn't either and even though we sometimes follow their stories, they are just side stories for side characters.

OK, so all of Battle City arc, the Millenium World arc and every part of the story related to Millenium Item users that want to erase the Pharaoh from existence are "side stories"? You sure are grasping at straws here.

The whole point of the story is Yugi growing as an individual thanks to Atem, and Atem searching the truth behind his existence helped by Yugi and friends. Yugi and Atem complement each other and are equally important, saying otherwise is being obtuse for no reason.

So what's this whole thing about certain old revoltechs leaking plasticizer? Why do they do that?
>>
>>5575561

F o r c e d m e m e
>>
>>5575561
I'm not exactly sure it's a plasticizer issue. It might be. Or it might just be the composition of the paint they use. Basically though, older Revos with the thick, glossy paint apps tend to get sticky/gummy feeling over time, which is a magnet for dust. They then have this coat of dust forever adhered to them, which makes their original glossy coat dull and ugly looking. This is not a problem whatsoever on older Revos with matte or non-glossy metallic paintjobs, which leads me to believe it's actually an issue with the specific glosscoat or paint they're using. As for WHY it happens exactly, who knows? Temperature, time, exposure to any number of things could be the culprit. All we know is that it happens a lot. People seem to say it doesn't happen anymore with newer Revos though.
>>
>>5575586
I see. That makes sense.

Does kaiyodo ever do replacements for broken parts like stands? I've had good luck getting similar stuff directly from GSC, but it doesn't look like they even have an english site? I love my RD evas way more than my revols, especially in the posability department, but their joints suffer like my revoltechs don't. Every one has developed some sort of floppy joint, while that's a problem revoltechs don't have almost by nature.

I really need to to come up with an effect part for that. I was actually surprised he didn't come with a smoke trail or something.

I just bought the whole capsule q rifle set.
I saw through most pictures that base color of the guns is just that gray plastic.
I wanted to ask if any of you guys knew of any decent ways to paintspray/or simply paint them?
Is there any spray cans that would work well, any that you guys would recommend or should I go to another general and ask there?
>>
>>5590619
I don't do wide spread area painting, just small bits here and there with brush, toothpick, etc.

I use glossy acrylic paint because it stays on plastic better apparently. Or you know, simple gundam markers.

Try Gunpla General, they know their shit.
>>
>>5561373
yen?
>>
>>5590619
Are we getting more skellies to go with these sets? I assume they can work with the Argonauts and oni skeletons either way, just seems like the timing would make more sense with something newer on the market.
>>

>I'm an idiot and didn't read the rest of the topic

Ok, so there's Capsule Q skeletons as well. That's cool.

They would look pretty small on them since the weapons are like 1/18 scale.
>>
Hey guys I broke the joint on Vulcanlog Venom Snake's wrist.

Does anyone know what specific size joint is it? It seems like it's 0.25cm joint based on the ruler that I have, but it might be smaller. I tried looking into the revoltech site with no avail.

Also, wott?
http://www.amazon.com/Revoltech-Supply-Parts-Revolver-pieces/dp/B00318BJW6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_21_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=51bUyy0%2BpBL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL320_SR320%2C320_&refRID=1F5YB04RJ8GPGSTET5P8
$1200 bucks for fucking joints. Scalpers are fucking nuts
>>
>>5592215
4mm joints in the wrist, you measure the ball in the center
>>
>>5592215
I'd like to know where to get replacements too. I had almost the same thing happen, but it just split apart and can still be popped back together. afaik it's because the sockets on all his right hands except the fist are way tighter than they should be, and will grip onto the peg too tightly when removing them.
>>

10 pcs for about 5 bucks.

I don't get why there are two "trigger discipline" hands on Venom Snake. One of the trigger discipline hand fits on all three guns, and the other one fits on none of the guns.
>>

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. It's a hand for the knife, albeit a very weird knife hand because the index finger is pointing

I finally received my exclusive eva 04 from Manda today, and While Im liking the overall look of the figure, I notice that this figure and the body mold it uses has the same issue that comes with a lot of revoltechs, Asymmetry.
Ive noticed lately that certain limb pieces are sculpted in different lengths, and each little difference adds up to look not so great overall
>>
>>5592295
I recommend shaving the ridges on the pegs off since they create more friction in the hands.

Another picture of a different figure to show more proof.
Venom Snake, as much as I love this figure, also has its left leg that is longer than the right by a few millimeters
>>
>>5592326
>orders closed
>released in 2012
yeah, I found those too but I can only assume they're long out of stock. I don't think kaiyodo really gives a damn about replacements like that, which is weird considering how popular it has to be. Everyone's lost or broken joints.

>>5592794
Have you tried it? I actually considered doing that, but I've got a couple other revoltechs that just use smooth pegs for their wrists like raiden and they have problems with the hands just falling off. No need to ruin all three hands because two have problems.

>>5592791
>>5592803
Yeah, it's hard to tell with venom because of the balljoints, but he's a little off. Same thing with ultron and eva 08.
>>
>>5592803
Revo Big Chap has the same issue too.
>>
>>5592821
I just sliced off the one side so they don't fall out of the wrist but the hand can come off easier.
>>
>>5592791
Mine has a fucking loose articulation. The socket in the torso for one of the shoulder joints is too large and the arm can just rotate freely making no friction. Fucking sucks, had to cover the peg of the joint in glue to make it thicker.

I'll be the roundabout.
>>
>>5592995
What I found out with revoltech figures with loose pegs is to dip them in heated water for around a minute, then running it through cold water.
Putting them in heated water makes them soft and often makes them go back to their original molding, then cold water shock shrinks them to make the fit tighter.

I was really excited to get Yugi to go with the Figma Yami Yugi, but from what I've read, Revo Yugi is gonna be a little taller than Figma Yami, and they'll look really weird together.

I think all the Muvluv Revos are solid figures, should've kept going...

Only "issue" I can think of is they are pretty small, which is common for older Revos.

>>
>>5592791
>>5592803
I understand this is an issue that Kaiyodo really should work on, but I also think that you're doing Revoltechs wrong if you ever have them standing in a pose so static that you'd notice something like that.

What's small for you? I have the russian twin's TSF and I would not call it small, it's as big as the newer and bigger RDs like the Unicorn full armor
>>
>>5595962
Eh, I thought most people expect 6 inch size figures because of the recent, commonly owned Revo (SW, Eva Evo, MGS, etc) or they get into Japanese figures through SHF.

Compare to that I think they find older Revoltechs a bit small.
>>
>>5595767

Green is pretty nice too but different accessory options. Though he's a little more expensive versus Legacy Lupin last I checked.
>>
>>5596827
>>5596823
Damn they both look so good. Red has better accessories but green is the more iconic and classic look, shit I really need to think about this.

I've found green jacket for $50 on toylet, is this a good price and if by chance do you know if this site is trustworthy. I've found red on various sites but green seems kinda difficult so if I go with him I was thinking of buying from toylet.
>>
>>5596908
I'm only going by a quick search but here's some feedback from users who used Toylet.

http://myfigurecollection.net/shop/34/feedbacks/

$50 isn't too bad actually but I generally price compare on sites like Mandarake or Terraformer for 2nd hand figures in case a better deal pops up.
>>
>>5597785
Thanks on the feedback, really appreciate it. Thinking I'll just get the red jacket.

Kaiba looks a lot better in my opinion, though I'd still rather just stick to the monsters. I'm still a little worried about how shrimpy Blue Eyes will be.
>>
>>5601153
Hopefully they'll also make figs of DMG, Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon, and Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

>>5601267
It's 5.5/6 cm's bigger than Yugi/Kaiba, 4 cm's bigger than Dark Magician, and it'll be floating above the ground. I'm sure it'll look fine.

Also it was never all that big in the anime, It just looked as such since it's always flying.
>>
How's the Legacy of Revoltech Iron Man figures? I'd been planning to build a small Iron Man display with both Figuarts and Revos with Ultron on the side.
>>
>>5601493
About Blue Eyes, yes, it's listed at 22cm, but as was pointed out previously that's its length. It'll roughly be the size of the Tigrex, which definitely makes the height a little on the short side.
>>
>>5601500
42 make sure it is the Legacy version. 1, 5, 7 and War Machine are masterpieces imo. 2 and 3 are pretty good...but 4 and 6 have shitty proportions....

There will be a 45 too, hopefully this year.

I hope they do all of them as Legacy...but only the 42 one makes a big difference with the new joints.

Ohh I remember now, Legacy (or rerelease?) of 6 doesn't have red paint but use the colour of the plastic.

And original 7 (and 5?) tends to fade out the red on the the softer parts so Legacy might be better. So far the look okay.

And RevolMini 6 and War Machine are really great if you don't mind the scale.
>>
>>5602657
Thanks a lot. Waiting on my order confirmation of Figuarts Mark 6 though I'm sure I can do something about Mark 4.

Might pick up the Revomini's doing their own thing.
>>
>>5603292
I think I have more issues with SHF Mark 6, like the head sculpt is completely wrong and hip piece looks weird...

Hasbro 6 inch Mark 6 (was there a 4?) might actually be the best for that scale. At least visually.
