Starting to become kind of concerned that we haven't seen much of this guy, Whitesnake and the Tokyo Ghoul chick with the knives.

All of them seemed to be painted at least at one point.

Also we have Pucci with the excact same costume colour as Weather Report and Tsukiyama from TG has some of the ugliest joints and coloration of any figure in the sas line so far.

This is my favourite line, and last year they released Johnathan, which was a figure of great quality. The fluctuation in quality is worrying though, can't pre-order without fearing you're getting the cat in the bag.

In ways, they're better than Figma, in others, they're a bit less so.

Figma and S.H. Figuarts have one main thing they do better, and it's engineering. Now, take my judgment with some salt, because I'm not a hardcore SAS collector, those who are could correct me on it, but to me, it seems that Medicos does alter their engineering here and there, but nothing really as drastic as S.H. Figuarts or Figma.

Aside from that, unless you are really unlucky (this can happen with any figure) or it's a release with known issues (Black Dio) more often than not, the paint is top notch. That is my opinion, at least.

The sculpt is also great, but sometimes it's something to get used to.

But it'll definitely fit just great, quality and scale-wise, with higher-end S.H. Figuarts and Figma. This is assuming that you have any.

You'd have to ask more specific questions if you want me or anyone else to answer them more satisfactorily, though.

Some SAS releases over the years have garnered complaints because of lack of accessories or quality issues. In my opinion the line is fantastic for the most part. That is, if you're lucky, for at times buying a SAS is a gamble. I've only collected 12 SAS'es over the years, and three of them have had major issues with their heads. Even though medicos do face sculpts much better than figma for sure, they seem to fuck up on the paint very often, to cataclysmic results. I own a Giorno with eyes making him look literally retarded and a Diavolo with one of his green hair specs on his fucking nose.

I'm just happy my Jolyne and Joseph are without flaws. Really stunningly beautiful figures.

It's a 2nd hand store like Mandarake. Shipping is a little costly and there's a 5% fee on orders but I found decent stock and deals there. Same thing with Terraformer but the SAS stock is random though the prices are pretty decent when compared to Mandarake and Jungle. Possibly gotten lucky. I bought Statue Legend Crazy Diamond at a con once, mint in box with an authenticity sticker on it and all that, for $30.
Then again the guy I bought it from is the best dealer I've come across in my area. He's a big older guy that constantly has a god-tier collection of JJBA merch for reasonable prices. I've ended up getting a Stray Cat figure, a Panson Works Josuke, a super cheap Crazy Diamond (he was $10 and had some paint scuffs on him that I easily fixed) and a cool ichiban kuji glass cup of Josuke on it.

I like it. It's better than yet another blue Jojo, and the slight amount of pink is nowhere near as rank as the stuff they put on Rohan 2nd and WF Jolyne. Red and pink ain't a great color combo though.

Though after being not too impressed with Giorno's shade of pink for the longest time I recently got him for pretty cheap and found it looked much better in real life. Maybe I'd like some of these if I saw them in the flesh.

Oh trust me, they do the same thing with other Japanese figure lines. Expect Figmas (especially Link, Samus, and the Pits) at least $10-15 more than they normally would be and Figuarts around $20. One con dealer I saw once was expecting $65 for SHF Kamen Rider Super-1, for example.

It's because Western sellers, especially con dealers, expect their customers to be very loose with their money and not know any better. Most of the time, they're right. It's very rare that people even attempt to haggle or negotiate at conventions. Granted the dealer is going to make a profit no matter what, but you can lighten the pain a bit. Wait until the last day when they're getting close to closing up. That's usually the best time.

My Joseph came today but his bandana-head looks a bit fucked up. Forehead hair is disconeccted from the bandana and I can see the glue between them, it's like the bandana moved upside from where it had to be. Its ugly as fuck. Is this usual in the Joseph SAS? Can I ask Amiami for a replacement?

Best fit for Jotaro (im guessing you got Part 3 purple or black) would be purple part 3 Star Platinum,but he's kinda expensive and rarely avaliable for sale anywhere but amazon.

Mista is great overall, no real issues with quality and the range of accessories is fantastic.
The only slight issue is that it's difficult to set up Mista & all 6 Sex Pistols/bullets at the same time, since some use the same single peg.
E.g. without modification, the cool smoke effect bullet cannot be displayed at the same time as the triple or single regular bullets, as they mount to the same peg.

But great overall, fits right in and is very dynamic for posing, the feet in particular have great range and stability.

Hey guys, Killer Queen 2nd just arrived from Mandarake and without even opening the box I can clearly see shit is wrong with him. He's got paint chipped off in multiple places on the leg and shoulder. The condition was 'not opened, box minor damaged'. So:

Since it's not opened would they class this as a 'manufacturer defect' even though it's plainly obvious that it's shitted up without even opening the box and they shoulda seen it?
How are they normally to deal with on stuff like this?
When I take pics I should probably not open the box unless they ask me to, right?

Mine had the same problem. I ended up splitting the top part of the hair off, using a gundam pen to add in some shading where the top of the hair bits just end on his forehead, then reglued it back on correctly. The main problem is that some of them came with the top part glued on too far back and it just needs to be realigned. Then again I don't mind diy figure fixing, I know many people would rather not fuck with it, but for me it was a pretty easy fix and the rest of the figure was fine.

I want to go ahead and take the plunge on SAS starting with a Stand. I've got it narrowed down to The World, Crazy D, and Sticky Fingers (all in "original" colors). It's a tough choice because they're all among my favorite Stands.

Personally it's okay to decent because of the white tones KQ3rd has but the green shoes throws it off by a lot depending how you display them. The color contrast that Araki does for his color choices isn't the best here.

The color shading was different on the original Dio 1st versus the newer releases. I think it was most notable on the yellow on his outfit and hair rather than the lighter skin tones Medicos is doing now.

it depends on the figure. In some of them, first releases have better paint apps. But also, some later releases got improvements. Re-release Part 3 Joseph has the new leg joints and slightly different paint apps. As for SC Dio, it seems that the only difference is the shadowing

Not too shabby. It's a mild improvement over purple/blue, but as much as I love blue KQ to death, it's just off next to both Kiras for some reason; like it doesn't compliment quite right, but it doesn't contrast that well, either.
