Assemblebords are probably my favorite toy line, it's a shame I got into them so late. The year I started collecting them tho was great as, Mandarake had a bunch from time to time and I was able to acquire quite a collection.

Panzer Puncher is my favorite and I love Torture Mania, and Hades Pod.

But Ultron just has this presence, which to me is the most important part of a figure's appeal.

SFV? People say that because they don't understand Capcom's model for it. Instead of putting out 3-5 discs like with SF4, it's just one disc that they're going to support for pretty much a decade, and you won't have to pay anything more to be up to date with any gameplay-related updates.

It's like a F2P MOBA setup but with a retail disc to get started, and considering it has 16 characters at launch I'm pretty cool with it all.

To be on-topic, I'd love some newer Street Fighter Revoltechs. I think some characters would be better than others for the line, but I'm sure some of them would be really beneficial.

But was curious, did SF always had a weak story mode? It's what I heard about SFV and my impression was modern fighting games tend to have a decent narrative since they are using long beloved characters. They just half-assed it to make the deadline?

I had some hope with Revol Mini given Kaiyodo did SFO before, but it only did some Basara guys.

Maybe SHF will try after Kinnikuman since they are of similar concept and could reuse some parts.

I think the ones we got Legacy of were something they did till VulcanLog kicked off. Now that it has a steady lineup going on the Revoltechs that were once distributed by UC, Hobby Stock(for QB iirc), etc are not getting Legacy like they did. It was more like "going out with a bang" for classic Revoltech.

Re-releases seem to be more focused on Kenelephant distributed Sci-Fi, Takeya Revo stuff, like all the Gamera. Now that UC is more autonomous, Kaiyodo has to use the other guy to make direct profit I guess?

Technically about thirty used no box. I got another back in November of last year brand new for $27, but I flipped that one for $60 cause the box was kinda beat up. No weak joints per se, but I did have an issue with changing out the sheath hand, damn wrist joint wouldn't go in for anything. I ended up using an ice pick to widen it and after a bit it worked.

I think the issue with almost any company with doing re-releases is that you are taking up factory schedule with making that old mold, when you could be making something new. So making more of something most people who wanted it already have, versus something completely new no one has, companies tend to choose the latter.

I'm not usually a stickler for everything being in scale and technically I already PO'd the Lupin and Fujiko Figuarts, but it would have been cool to have a similarly-sized figure of the red jacket Lupin. Since Revoltech Vash actually scales pretty well with Figma (based on Vash's intended height), I'd have thought that Lupin and Jigen might have been the seem way though I guess I was wrong.

I think I mentioned don't bother cutting the straps.

What inhibits the movement of the hip is not the straps or anything touching on the outside.

The peg that the ball is on, the bll end of the ball joint for the hips, they actually hit the edge of the ball socket of the legs first.

So you would need to either thin down the rod part of the joint, or widen the ball socket edges. Neither I think is worth doing as it will likely loosen or weaken the joints.

It's not even worth it at that point just get a few more degrees in hip/leg movement. I'm not sure why people are complaining in the first place. I think he's awesome. My only issue with mine is that he's really stiff on his right shoulder.

Get him, he goes up for pretty cheap these days. He's design is relatively better than the Basara Revo because he was designed and release after those guys. He has large feet and toe articulation so pulling off ground poses are easy but beware that because of the way he leg is connected to his hips it can bit difficult to put him in wide stances.

I got one recently. Overall if you compare it to the RD it definitely loses. Revol on the right in pic related.
I do like a few things on the revol version a bit more, and it can also "transform" into flightmode while the RD can't.
For $7 it's pretty a pretty cool mecha revol if you want something a little bit more feminine.

Can't compare him to GI Joe's but he's pretty fun given what limitations mini's are. The only reason that a trade is decent is because how rare he's gotten over time versus other MGS mini's and the price. He only packs his sword that only one hand can hold and the gun arm from later on in the game versus Rex.

Ultron is very articulated but the issue on mines is his left arm likes to pop out if you rotate too much but after putting the revo joint in better I found it to be a non-issue. Though I found Raiden is be better due to Ultron's leg sculpt sort of limiting in some places versus the crazy range Raiden has. Other than that his upper body is fantastic and the face really gives off this serious look when the eyes are positioned right. Also his neck being able to poke out pretty far for more specific angles and poses.

I've got some of the older, non-Legacy QB figures, and you can REALLY tell when they made the switch from the old style joints to the new style ones, since the switch happened sometime during the QB line.

Not that anon, but it's probably lighting and color balance. The figure is smoky with a hint of blue. Baron was pretty much the same, translucent black with a bit of purple/blue. Under certain lighting conditions, the colors will show up more.

There are two versions of the Nexus figures. The first run was locally distributed by Diamond (rather poorly) and only available via the Kaiyodo Web Shop in Japan. The second re-release had a different color and was available at AmiAmi/HLJ.

I got the EoE Unit 02 like 3 months ago and I'm still picking it up and posing it on a regular basis. Something about the limitations of the old articulation style makes me want to push it to the extreme and find new poses.

I wouldn't suggest Unit 08a. Bad QC, the figure seems to be missing the top coat of clear paint or whatever so its a total dust magnet. Mine is a dirty pink that I pass of as dirt/wear from battles, which is possible since theres a 14yr gap between movies
