Really hope this means we get some kind of rework of UtD in the final product or the pose is to blame for his mediocre looks. I have a feeling those legs arent the actual set, since I doubt they would change back to greivous' design for a digitigrade leg design so quickly / drastically change from what they were, but all this buildup and stuff looks really cool for what looks like a mediocre villain on the box.

One YouTuber made a joke about Ahkmou in his Ketar video because Umarak and Ketar both have gunmetal unity pieces. He called that shit.

So after battling depression for months and doing nothing but sleeping I checked out the local Lego shop for the first time. They had a deal for like $20 you could basically do pick a brick but for a big gallon zip lock bag. Thought I would just get bunch of random Bionicle pieces and build something when I got home, but somewhere along the way I ended up going full autism and just built this guy at the store. He's probably my first real moc, but I was pretty stoked once he was finished. I didn't have access to every color of every part so some is mismatched. What do you guys think?

Hey /biog/, I've been thinking of writing a story based on G1 lore, and I wanted some feedback.

1) What should the setting be? I was thinking of setting it on Bara Magna, several thousand years after the Matoran migrate over. It would show the numerous tribes of Bara Magna clashing with Matoran culture and their ways of living

2) Pic related will most likely be the focus, and if not then he/she will be a character at some point. I was thinking of making them a Glatorian who is linked to Takua somehow since they wear the same mask (Maybe they idolize him after hearing stories about him). Alternatively, they could be a Toa, but I prefer a protagonist who uses their wits and skill to survive as opposed to elemental and mask powers

3) Would any of you like to collaborate? I'm more of an ideas and planning type of guy, and writing isn't exactly my strong suit. [nospoilers] We would probably have to communicate on BZPower or some other website, though, because I don't want to make a new email or post my personal one on 4chan[/nospoilers]

4) Are there any characters from G1 you'd like to see make a reappearance? Keep in mind it'll have to be characters who were still alive (or presumed to be alive) at the end of G1.

I have one simular to that in a "city" near me, and by near I mean more than 2 hour drive.
Also, they have people come in and build sets, so I got chunks of a complete Makuta 03 and part of the takanuva vechicle set from 03 in from their "Building In Progress" bin, which was a steal. I also bought a blind Cahdok and a Gadok with it's stopping function thing missing.

The worst part about '08 was the Phantoka and Mistika were originally going to be their own Toa teams but it was decided that bringing the Mata squad back would boost sales so the Phantoka and Mistika became them retroactively, post-design. This is also why their designs have absolutely no relation to the characters they portray. It's a shame because they're practically a blight on the Mata squad, design wise. I like to pretend they aren't canon.

What kind of world would anybody assume Kopaka's a toa of air? I mean, I get it if they were looking at 08 Kopaka, but 02 Kopaka has a weird ski spear thing that tells you immediately that this fucker's ice type, and 01 Kopaka just looks like a white knight with a scope. And the only thing that potentially links Pohatu to Lightning is the Kanohi Kakama making him quick as lightning, which is a pretty laughable and pathetic way to connect a character's ability to their supposed type.

Not gonna lie, I actually really like how these strips look, they remind me of the Piraka comic style games, but I'm also excited to see if they take Bionicle in a more serious direction again and actually make cool characters, instead of the horrible slapstick shit in the 2015 animations.

Here's hoping that the Netflix series will be less of a joke have good story telling, I seriously miss how cool they made the Toa in the old media, I want to see them as capable warriors again.

Pic related is a reimagined Bordakh from my childhood, where we played with my friend in a universe similar to The Legend of Zelda with dungeons and ennemies to battle. My Bordakh was the hero of the play, using King Mathias' cape, the same cape (and head for that matter) used here. The most important thing about this moc is the fact that it needed to look like a creation you could more or less do ten years ago, with the G1 aesthetics.

With Muaka and Kane-Ra you at least had the option of opening their jaws slowly. The Bahrag only work if you snap their heads forward with force, so that the gears grind against each other. It's crude as fuck, whereas Muaka and Kane-Ra have all those Technic parts and rubber bands working together to close the jaw at the right moment.

On the other hand, the Bahrag have bodies.
