No. The eyes are meant to be put in the empty slot behind that. The Vahki's fuckhuge transparent brain stalks had the eyes in them, and roodaka uses trans orange exoforce robot hands as eyes.

Krekka's the exception to this patern, and he looks like shit because of it.

This is the product of some old school Slizer/Roboriders parts, what little CCBS stuff I have in my dorm, and a strong desire to not do my homework.

Once the war reached his homelands, however, he and the rest of the miners found themselves unemployed, their jobs taken by child Matoran slaves. The warlords started to take over the towns around his home. None of the Toa ever showed up, so he took matters into his own hands. It's still undocumented what happened, but many warlords died when it was over, killed and tortured by the freed child soldiers. He soon hopped a boar and began his travels around the world. Armed only with a mining hammer and nothing to lose, Ryak travels the world in search of nothing. He moves as a specter would, and disappears just as easily.

Yeah, the bio sucks. I had gotten a lot of old Technic/Slizer pieces and tried making a torso out of it. All things it came out okay, but due to the use of the Mata head, he's only got a swivel neck. Hadn't figured out how to add a ball jointed head without using the foot on the chest and giving him a hunchback.

Here's a close up of the back (and incidental hammer storage thanks to the Roboriders "torso"). You can see some of the compromises I made here thanks to my limited piece count - his swivel head and travesty of a hip assembly, for example.

I'm getting a few Nynrah Ghost Blasters in my next BL shipment. Do the pump pieces have any pin or axle connections on them at all? I might try building that machine from MNOG if so.

IIRC you can lock them onto something with two axles and a couple of liftarms in a box configuration. That or you can wedge something into the hole. You won't be able to make an accurate MNOG pump without some heresy, though.

I won't laugh or insult you. I won't get mad.
Instead I'll use your post as a starting point to explain why CCBS has finally caught up, making your point moot.

The 2016 sets have a torso that is exactly as tall the Inika torso, except

>it's more customizeable
>allows for better Technic integration
>allows for back armor
>has adjustable shoulder width (and is not bound with the 11 modules of the Inika torso
>you can mount a gearbox on it
>it has a ROTATING waist

And don't forget the torso the new SW sets have, which is identical to the Toa torso except

>doesn't have any neck joints (which does avoid the Pohatu Dick Syndrome and other cases of AEB- Annoying Exposed Balls)

And CCBS limbs are MUCH more customizeable than 2004-onwards limbs ever were, so no point explaining this.

2016 has yet to officially start and CCBS's last few shortcomings are getting solved already. It's its biggest year since 2012 (everything was going fine before 2013 and 2014 froze everything).

The little touch of color from the spines really does add a lot.
Try looking at the thumbnail rather than the enlarged picture and notice where your eye tends to land; odds are, it's gonna be on the spiny one.

A huge mistake a lot of people make when posting mocs and such is posting these big fuckwalloping pictures. Massive-ass pictures spread shit out way too much, making it way harder to get an overall impression of the build. Posting medium-size pics is a much better way to go.

My reeasoning being is taht the spines draw the eye to the calf which is actually pretty big in comparison to the thigh and that makes the build look oddly proportioned. But you don't really notice unless you really look on the build without the spines because your eye isn't instantly drawn to it.

I hope he actually looks like an upscaled version of his 2015 form, and not a Tahu with the Mask of Creation slapped on.

I wonder if he wears the Mask of Creation we have now or maybe an updated version that is compatible with the Creature heads. I certainly wouldn't mind a new mask, though I wouldn't be keen on yet another mask with the crystal motif on its top.

Well as it turns out I actually don't have enough spines for both shins and all of the fingers on the hands. Seeing as how the fingers are gonna get priority, for the time being I'll have to go without the spines on the shins til I either order more or decide to leave them off for good. They're a surefire way to get the point across that a bionicle is a fembot. It's not like people will notice at a glance that your customized toy has wide hips/narrow shoulders or any other obscure (and often poorly executed) details.
Imo, the only other thing that gets the message across is posing. A good pose is a powerful visual tool.
Apart from that, I like tits on mocs because the people who are vocal about their distaste are most often being obnoxious about it and deserve to be dismayed.
Unless you call them impractical because robots have no use for gender characteristics, in which case I agree. But if they hadn't then the kids would feel more alienated and the product wouldn't sell as well.

Here's an INCREDIBLY basic Ekimu moc. It uses a custom torso which, while not very secure, allows for more posability in the shoulders. At any rate, I hope the official one look a lot better than mine.

It's impossible, since the 2016 sets have been finalized months before the Mask Making Contest. Designers right now are probably working on the 2017 sets.

I still want something cool for Umarak the Destroyer though, like a Mask of Control that is more faithful to the animated version. The gold one just doesn't scream "main villain" enough for me.

I have a theory that this year we're going to see a revamped Mask of Creation and revamped Mask of Control with Umarak the Destroyer and Toa Ekimu respectively. It makes sense, considering Ekimu is remaking all the Toa's gear, and Makuta is also a mask maker and would presumably be able to Darth Vader the shit out of Umarak if he got pwnt by the Toa.
