short of hot toys spiderman figs
>>
Mafex Spider-man, proabbly the best until Bandai does one for captain america Civil war(assuming Marvel doesn't screw up the costume). Its only real flaw is a weak chin and an inability to bring his arms across his chest.

I love the figma myself
>>
>>5311631
He's almost assuredly not going to have his actual spidey suit in Civil War. It's likely he's going to have a homemade suit at that point.
>>
>>5311637
Which sucks, too, because that isn't ground I want covered yet again.

for the price I think pizza party spiderman is the best value,a good sturdy toy you can play with. Only short coming is the splits aren't so good but that can be fixed.
>>
>>5311639
At least he'll already be established as Spiderman when his solo movie releases.
>>
>>5311637
>>5311639
They have said they've retreaded his origins enough, so it's just as likely he'll be already established as a small time hero at that point.
>>
>>5311609
I owned the two MAFEX Spiderman's. They are truly fantastic and you'd be hard pressed to find anything better anytime soon. I would recommend the one from ASM 2 because it's actually attainable and is the better spider suite.
>>
>>5311637
They've confirmed he's going to have two suits, a home made one and a different one. It's likely number two will be Iron Spider. So we might get an SHF of that at least.

This one.
>>
The super-poseable 3.75" amazing spider-man is pretty great.
>>
>>5312407
Why doesn't your spider-man look as shiny as mine?
>>
>>5312407

It doesn't even beat mcfarlane spidey that has toes and can actually do the signature spidey crouch and isn't made out of rubber.
>>
>>5312604
I sprayed him with dull coat.
>>
>>5312846
Any particular kind?
I think i'll get some of this. I don't like the gloss.
>>
>>5312413
Movie shit...on top of that shit movies and metallic paint? The Mafex would have been good if the red paint wasn't metallic...like the promo pics.

>>5312632
Not as fun as Creepy Petey though. Doesn't come with all those cool accessories. Plus, I always thought Toy Biz's sculpts around that time were way way too much for super hero figures. Like they look like they went for the McFarlane Toys look heh. Look at their Wonderman, Sentry, Black Panther....their suit looks like it was made out of cement. They did have better motion ...but those joints look so dated now, all segmented. Pizza time Spidey has flaws but he is still in my opinion the best Spidey so far. I liked him so much i got two.
>>
>>5312858
The ASM suit is basically a comic suit if it was drawn by Hitch,McNiven,or some other similar artists.
>>
>>5312852
Any kind will do. I used one that they sell at Michaels but it rubbed off so I went with Mr. Hobby Top Coat. Make sure it's the dull clear coat when you order.
>>
>>5312863
What can I say? The pattern stuff and paint kills it for me and the stigma I have for those movies keep me from wanting those two.

I like how possible they are though, can give them that. I collect Figma too btw so I am not just getting Hasbro stuff...we all know how shitty they can get. But that will be left for another discussion.
>>
There is no "best" Spidey figure. There are multiple good figures that fit different tastes and wants.

Like the movie designs? Want lots of hands and accessories? Go for the ASM2 Mafex.

Want a more classic design? Want something cheaper but still adequate? Go for Pizza Party.

Want a 90s-influenced design? Have the cash to spend? Hunt down the McFarlane Spidey.

None of these are bad figures. You might prefer one to the other, but that's why you have options.

>caring for the source
There hasn't been a decent Spiderman comic since the 70s anyways.

>>5312913
Mafex one sounds so much better even in your post that I have no idea what you're trying to say.
>>
>>5312846
It's amazing how just a dull coat can make a typical Hasbro toy look a bit less shitter. Shame about the mold lines all over the thing.

Really the movie figures look terrible to me as well.

>There hasn't been a decent Spiderman comic since the 70s anyways.

Wrong. Plenty of them. Death of kraven. Origin of the Hobgoblin. Etc.
>>
>>5313443
>Fear Itself
yay...
>>
>>5312858

To each his own I guess. I personally can't consider a spidey that can't do spidey poses a viable figure.
>>
>>5311637
>It's likely he's going to have a homemade suit at that point.

But his suit is home made

There is nothing special about his suit
