I use a little bit of bar soap, depending on the type of joint.
If I can get it apart easily (like a ball joint on a figma or figuarts) I can rub just a trace amount on the ball parts, and reattach the sockets, and that seems to do wonders.
For joints that won't come apart like that, shock oil or a similar non petroleum based silicon lubricant.
If you have a fleshlight, the stuff they sell to use with those will work. It's safe for latex, so with will be safe to use on plastics used for action figures.
Anything petroleum based will cause damage.

What's your secret on stiffing loose joints?

Superglue with brush
Careful not to glue the pieces together.

Depends on the joint.
Normal use of just different posing.
It might have extra leftover plastic you might have to use an X-acto knife to shave a little off.
Spray a little WD-40.

Jizz on it.

>It might have extra leftover plastic you might have to use an X-acto knife to shave a little off.
Never take away plastic from a figure by sanding or cutting.
If you don't know what you're doing (and sometimes even if you do) you could end up making the joint too loose later on. Sometimes joints will loosen up as you work them, or with a little lube. But if you remove too much plastic, you can't add it back later. There's the Future/Acrylic/nail polish trick, but that only goes so far.

>Spray a little WD-40.
NEVER do this. WD-40 is petroleum based and could eat the plastic. Might as well rub acetone on it if you do this.

Rub acetone on the joint.

I've used regular handsoap on several figuarts' hinges to very good effect. Also tried it on hulkbuster's torso joint, and one of rhino's shoulders. I had to use more, but it worked like a charm there too.

acetone + wd40

acetone gets rid of wd40 corrosive properties
