Most of those were designed to print exact size on an 8x10 sheet of cardstock for use with Figmas and Figuarts.
You would probably have to experiment a bit by up-scaling them some until you get the desired size for PAK.

got any dvd printouts, or atleast a template
Hey, I just wanted to throw something out.
I don't have a template but they are not hard to make since its just the same image folded in half.
Years ago I made some card packs. I found I got amazing results though by cutting tiny pieces of cardboard (probably chopped up the back of a notebook) and folding two sides of a pack images around it and gluing it shut.
It gives a slight thickness and really feels like a tiny card pack.
>>5128419
Also I made some comics. I just collected a bunch of random covers and put then in an editor then attached a few generic ads I found to the back. The real key was to cut a pile of blank pages to put inside.
Each is a cover and I think two blanks with a single staple on the binding (flat side out, folded staple in).
>>5128422
>Quarter robots as Shogun Warriors
I like your style.
>>5130393
I made these almost 15 years ago but I also save everything digital and I've been organizing it a lot lately. I will see if I have the template in my files later.
>>5130574
ok anon
>>5133519
I checked, I don't seem to have it anymore. They are simple to make though. Just image search the card backs and put two side by side to fold in half and scale them down small.

Anyone else having image posting troubles?
http://i.imgur.com/lQZ67bu.jpg
This is about where I am in the progress of the worst thing I've ever done. I lost all my previous work in a surprise reformat, but I had uploaded a WIP of this to imgur in the past, so it's funny that we find ourselves in that position again.
I feel that having minimal text is a good idea, since it's such a low res picture. My new stuff (a retro city rampage cabinet) is done on a much higher resolution template that I think will make it look a lot better when printed, and I'll probably have text on that.
Speaking of arcade cabinets, I'm getting tired of putting imaginary trackballs on these suckers. Any thoughts on how some joystick construction might work? I'm picturing a foamcore backing on the control deck with a bit of clipped out sprue glued into it, maybe? You'd need something that could hold it flush against the model otherwise, and I don't see how to do it another way.
Well, I'm glad I saved the stuff in this thread before the hardware issues hit, would have missed out on some of the models. Still finding and hunting out some models, I'm going to try and provide them by scale if I can.
Anyways, back to posting papercraft stuff.
This one's fun, but a bit tricky to assemble.
>>5137922
Converted to printer friendly colors, put some details on the screen, I think this one's as finished as it's going to get, short of starting over at a higher resolution. Gonna print it out and try building it after I post this.
>>5138596
Holy crap, converting to cymk and then saving as a jpeg does some monstrous things to a picture.
I'll be honest, I've been shoopin' for a long time and I still don't know what the fuck these colors are gonna come out looking like.
>>5140520

>>5148686
It's a joke.
Minutemen is a comic that's a prequel to Watchmen.
I know this is kind of a stretch, but I saw another anon in a thread not too long ago post his Venom Snake doing this pose.
Does anyone have a template or some sort of print out for a tiny bag of doritos? I can't help but kinda laugh while typing this, but I seriously need this.

>>5149135
The Minutemen were IN Watchmen as part of the backstory, dumbfuck.
The Minutemen mini came later.
>It's a joke.
Pretty fucking stupid one.
>>5152835
The papercraft was made around the same time as the mini. The mini was made to capitalize on the fame of the original comic, along with the movie and a slew of other products all trying to cash in. The video game is styled similarly to those cut-and-paste licensed beat-em-ups that popped up, which are always made just to cash in.
If you're mad that you didn't get the joke when I made it, I can't help you. Stay mad, chucklefuck.
>>5152875
No.
The papercraft was made right before Watchmen (the movie) came out in 2009.
There was a hype site called thenewfrontiersman.net (long defunct, but here's an article about it dated 1/08/09) http://www.watchmencomicmovie.com/010809-watchmen-movie-viral-marketing.php
They had a link to a Minutemen arcade game as an homage to the 80's style videogames (also gone, but can be found here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/482986)
The papercraft had nothing to do with the Minutemen comic, but everything to do with the viral stuff for the Watchmen Movie.
And I should know, I'm the one that made it.
I used the art in: the game linked above, the actual webpage it was on, and a fake magazine ad for the arcade cabinet to make it.
I still have the original PS layers files if you want me to dig them up.
So yeah. You have no idea what you're talking about, and you have shitty joke telling skills.
Shit-heap.

I thought this sounded like a good idea, so I got to it. I made these up, printed them out, cut them up... and discovered I don't have any staplers at home. So I went out to the store, and couldn't find any there either. I'm mildly insane by this point, so I'll just make some more and go get a stapler at walmart or someplace tomorrow.
Features secret cameo appearance from this very thread.
>>5161187
You'd probably do better by using one of those slim, clear rubber bands, since a real staple'd be too big for something so small.
>>5161275
Having trouble picturing how that would work. Got a diagram/picture?
I was actually thinking about stapling it from the inside out, so that from the outside it looks like two staples, but then I considered the staple might be too wide, and thus would bulge out the book or force it open.
Also considered my old standby of superglue, but short of doing something completely insane like actual miniature binding, I couldn't think of a good way to glue the pages in and still let them hinge.
>>5161282
>>5161275
Forgot to upload volume 2, just finished. Might do a set of magazines after this...
>>5161282
Use thin-weight paper, paperglue should probably work better as it's more flexible. The inside-out method for the staple might work better than what I was thinking though, as I was thinking of lining the band up with the binding. Not sure, but I think either paperglue or a dot of superglue on the binding might work as well, but you'd want to give the book a few test-folds first so that the crease is there.
>>5161298
The problem with glue is going to be that the area that I can glue without damaging the ability of the pages to turn is going to consist entirely of the folded edge itself, which will be about twice the width of the (regular, and therefore thin) paper I'm printing these on. The only solution I can see in that direction is leaving excess bleed on the pages so, like I said, I can create an actual binding, but even I'm not that crazy. Not anymore, anyway.
Speaking of being crazy and doing geeky art projects, I've moved onto doing some magazines, and Mediavengers is a very helpful resource in that regard. I'm also planning on using a cover someone did up for an issue of True Detective the magazine about the events of True Detective the TV show.

all right i went even further beyond with this: since in TPP the cardboard box can be opened in various ways, i added the extra flaps. if you want your box to open in the upper part you will have to glue the flaps though

I got tired of blurry images so I made it big :(
After finishing it, I kinda feel exhausted and not like building it, which sucks.
Also, I feel like I shoulda put something on the back. I dunno what. Even a plug would have been a good addition, probably.
This is my next project. There's no good ones on the internet, so clearly my work is needed.
I haven't made an actual original design in a long time, but I'm seeing some easy ways to get this looking really good.
>>5184741
Well that was a crazy 24 hours.
I've test folded three versions of this, but not actually this colored one itself. Still, it should work great.
The version tag will make more sense in a second.

If I walk into an arcade and see one of these machines, I turn 360 degrees and moonwalk back out.
I'm planning on doing this thing in a variety of colors, though only the brown and blue ones will come in tokens and change variants. For now, just the light brown version, my fingers hurt too much to get on the chocolate version.
>>5186222
and for funsies, the design sketch I did. This one ended up with the wrong proportions and kept falling over, but the design is basically the same.
>>5186222
The color layout for this one changed a bit after I saw how the light brown one printed out. I might go back and do a dark brown face, black walls version of this after the rest are finished, but for now I'm done doing brown versions.

>>5188391
Jesus christ that gradient. I'm gonna have to go back and fix that somehow, wow.
Anyways, final bonus version, inspired by the original test folds I did. I printed out a few variations on white paper with just folding lines and "CHANGE" written in black, and it reminded me of a great movie...
>>5188397
What does valley fold mean?
>>5188430
instead of scoring on the front side and folding back ("mountain fold") score on the backside and fold to the front ("valley fold"). Picture yourself as god, and the paper forming into mountains and valleys under you.

Judging by the curve in the lines, I almost think it's a barely sanded piece of wood that he painted. Am I in the right area, anon?
I've learned a lot since I first designed this, so I think my next project might be a version that actually works. Even the edit that floats around isn't a proper version, since the trackball and buttons end up split up by an invisible, unmarked fold. Mark it down as the Tempest template being a bit vague.
It would be bad ass if some one made a Dance Dance revolution cabinet. I would laugh myself to tears with the shenanigans that would ensue.
>>5190323
This kind? Some guy on the internet made one supposedly out of cardboard and paint, but none of the pics have surfaced. Someone else made an off-brand one that prints out on 11*17, because of course we all head out to kinkos whenever we're gonna do papercrafting.
As for this kind of model... it's not really that much more complicated than what we're doing here. Some comfort with a ruler, some knowledge of pythagoras, shouldn't be that hard to work something up.
... I might see what I can do.
>>5191016
Yeah something like that would be perfect and if you could that would be amazing
>>5189173
>>5189764
Nah, just a towel stretched over the desk, some greenery thrown about at random.
Now, to make realistic ground,
Gorilla glue
Sand/dirt
Spread glue on a foam board, spread sand on glue
Spray gun bottle, 60% water and 40% gorilla glue, pile sand around, spray with the glue/water mix. Let the sand soak up the mix and dry about 20 hours, repeat and all that.
If you want to place trees do them before the sand. Greenery last, dab of glue on the bottom, place, spray the entire thing with a mist of the mix.

Think my next project might be additional stuff for an arcade environment, not sure yet.
Uploading a bunch of pinball machines to the mega. Going to have to rework the Star Wars enclosed cabinet, the guy who made it didn't get the dimensions exactly right for some of it. Also test printed the Addams Family pinball machine, it was 1/18 when I printed it from the photo viewer(but lost some of the non-essential stuff at the edges), pasting it into a no-margin Word file shrank it.
great thread
bumping with figma snake's cardboard box
After making a bunch of these arcade cabinets, I decided to take a break to make something more stimulating and complicated. Boy has that been a mistake so far.
I hate doing round bits, and this features a whole lot of them. This pic's snagged off the internet, I'm not even finished cutting everything out yet. I'm planning on skipping some of the particularly fiddly bits and just gluing bits of old cord and sprue on instead. If it turns out really good (as in "can put a figure on it without it disintegrating" good, which might work since super glue and cardstock combine into a crazy strong compound material), I might rip the bits out of the pdf and recolor it as a civilian version. Red paint, dirt and rust, go-fast stripes, that sorta thing.

Either it's way bigger than 1/12, or the black series version is way smaller. Both seem likely, frankly. I'm still not sure I wanna do a civvie version, but if nothing else it would let me apply what I've learned so far.

Also, you'd have to double side these to make them work properly, but in all the time I've been printing, double printing is the one thing I've never been able to do with any accuracy...

>both images are the same size
>import to Word
>center align images
>print on double-side printer
>>5284051
You can do the same thing in photoshop, it's still not gonna help the fact that printers are all uneven in their own ways. It's gonna end up badly aligned...
>>5284057
A double-side should get the alignment right.
Or you could use thin-weight paper and make reference lines outside the image to align it yourself.
>>5284059
Obviously a double sided printer would get it, but I don't have one of those.
I don't think reference lines would help, since it prints all in one go.
>>5284067
No, I mean gluing it, hence the thin-weight. The only issue is that you'd need to choose your glue carefully and probably use laser printing.
Also, Kinkos is still a thing, isn't it?

i've been trying to find the other side of the bison dollar but i haven't found nothing, only the face side, i can't remember if that part was shown in the movie even.
also
>double printing
i was just printing and folding them, but i can see why you went for that way,it's so the dollar doesn't end looking too thick (and maybe for maximum profit too lol), but i think the thickness can work if you group them
I got some courtesy of /po/

bumping with another bill, this time it's 1000 yen, so you can use it for some jap figures, maybe figma kaiji
this has to be the longest living thread on /toy/ ever.
>>5275941
Woah we can Print out money these days? Why has no one ever thought about this?
>>5296663
We once had an lesbian Avatar thread on /u/ last for 3 or 4 years. This is probably the longest on /toy/ in recent memory.
>>5296669
>>5296664
i found most of the bills in wikipedia, all of them should have some kind of mark so people don't bootleg them (like>>5276698) but as i said, the finished product is way too small to notice them, except the yen ones, those had really tacky red marks, probably "specimen" on moonrunes, so i have to google a bit for those ones
here's another bill, 5000 yen
gonna post the 10.000 yen bill too
those are all the bill i have made, i think i gonna make other after eating a bit

Awesome! Now I can have my Godzilla make it rain.

But he does that by bellyflopping the ocean, the fatass.
Look up MiWorld stuff for 6 inch scale
>>5297993
Miworld stuff is all over the map, scale-wise. The figures are 5", but the accessories are just sized so that children can easily pick them up.
The new lootcrate turns into a little diorama of a street in wasteland, anyone got anything I can decorate it with in scale with 1 inch tall fallout blind box characters?
>>5299873
For that size, I'd look at train modeling diorama accessories.
>>5299873
1 inch scale? Sounds like 1/60th. Check out Worldworks Terrainlinx, best papercraft tabletop gaming system out there. Just wish it scaled up well, I'd love to have something modular like that for my 1/12 displays.

I was gonna say "check /rs/" but I just glanced down and saw it's gone.
I bet you could still dig something up on /po/ or /tg/.
