The Ur-Example. The most successful game of D&D ever.

This one is actually not bad. Not high literature but an enjoyable enough story.

Record of Lodoss War
Pretty much anything from Drew Hayes, so far as I've been led to believe. I've only read pic related, but it feels incredibly gamey in places.

fan ones but only the first 4 books

Also a classic example of DMPCing so hard that everybody else just murderhobos around while the DMPC does everything.

Is this guy French Elric?

You posted a bad, but entertaining example, so here's a good and entertaining example that's also pretty insane in the original language because all dialougs were written in iambic verses.

Absolutly not, blackmoon is made by froideval and pontet while french Elric is written by former game author Julien Blondel

OP here, never heard about this one do you happen to have a download link? I'd like in the original language since I'm a frenchfag

Try Avaxhome. They have DLs for lots of comics. My Comic Blog Post could also have it in French.
Alternatively, hit up a shop. I'm certain the series got an integral already.

I call the validity of this claim into question. That's not Lodoss wars.
Apparently started as a homebrew.

lucky you. the fanlation is definitely meh. Check Seven missionnaires as well, it's a wonderful one-shoot by the same author.
I haven't read the comics, though I've read somewhere that the setting is located on the hemisphere of Oerth opposite to Greyhawk and all that area.
Also, the vidya (along with original Diablo and M&M7) got me into RPGs in the first place, to the point that I've created homebrewed "RPG" based on Diablo mechanics and BMC game fluff to play with my younger brothers when I was about 13 years old and when I GM'd my first D&D game few years later, I pretty much copied the maps and fluff from the game for my first setting. Ironically enough, I've never learned more about the actual comics beyond reading the wiki article.
