Zerkers/Zerkers/Enemy on the charge, Enemy/Zerkers/Zerkers when charged. They basically get to double swing, the only time it gets odd is if the zerkers are in combat for more than a turn. You can then activate your zerkers to fight, then your opponent picks their unit, then you can either reactivate the same squad, or move to a different unit and circle back to the zerkers whenever. Kind of a rare thing though, because they cleave through units pretty quick.

It's ironic that Chaos players reflect how Chaos are in the fluff, they get cucked multiple times by the superior imperium but instead of reflecting on their mistakes and humbly learning to be better they endlessly whinge and moan that the game is rigged against them, even when they're gifted numerous shiny new toys, and as a result unsurprisingly lose over and over again.

The trick with chinacast issues is knowing what the paint will and won't cover. I've some pretty harsh lights for my workspace and an unflattering camera, most of the things that come up on the big screen aren't nearly as easy to see with the naked eye.

The big question mark for me is what to do about the field projectors at the front. I am thinking I will add to some of them with some GS and paint them with the same fleshy colours as the rest of the GS scabby bits.

Here was the originally concepted scheme, not grossly divergent. The intent was to have more flame motifs, checks, and of course thunderbolts. I was looking for green detailing and the snail shell in the logo may do better than the laurels I was planning. We'll see.

well, so far I've got Flash Gitz and Lootas for shooting, going to invest in some battlewagons and trukks and more flash gitz and lootas once I'm done with the ones I have. Oh and convert tankbustas out of the leftover burnas and assorted rokkit bits left over from the loota boxes and other stuff

Dread Mob is more viable than Mechanized, and either is miles better than Speed Freaks.

However "more viable" isn't the same as "viable"; Dread Mob suffers badly against armies with a fair amount of AT. Dreads are massively overcosted and Morkanauts are inferiour to Gorkanauts, pretty much solely because the Gorka is better in melee thanks to 2 more attacks. The list also has virtually no shooting, which really hampers you against some lists. Overall you can expect to either win by a landslide or get absolutely and completely stomped by end of Turn 2. I've been playing my Dread Mob list on and off since 8th hit and that's been my experience.

I've also tried some Mechanized lists with stuff like Meganobz, Lootas, Flash Gitz and Tankbustas, with transports. Honestly, it's pretty terrible. Most of this stuff NEEDS transports because cover is worthless/hard to get for Orks, and contrary to what >>55365376
would have you believe, Lootas outside of a transport have zero life expectancy. Tankbustas can't do their job decently, Flash Gitz have to move to get in range which negates their better BS, plus their expensive. Meganobz are decent but only use them with Killsaws; Klaws are worthless. Tooled up Nobz with Big Choppas are actually quite decent.

Trukks and Battlewagons are both overpriced and die too easily, doubly so when Battlewagons have to stay T7 if you're shooting out of them. T7 4+ save does not last long on the battlefield.

Dark Eldar. I love factions with cool armor, so a lot of 40k factions appeal to me, but Kabalite armor is one of the best. The fact that they're moustache twirling tier bad guys is also fun. Wash the panels with Agrax Earthshade and then paint the foam with Nurgle's Rot. The only thing that I'm worried about is the flexibility of the foam causing the Nurgle's Rot to crack. I may have to test one. Even if that does happen, I'll still be able to add it to the crevices.

Overall favorits are Tyranids. Most other factions are just some kind of humanoids with a gimmick.
Tyranids are actually really different to most other armies and I prefer playing them without the samefagging that are artefacts and special characters. They are just one organism made to devour your opponent. Soulless, emotionless monsters that want to dissolve everything about you and make it part of them. Just like chaos is corrupting everything they are destroying it and using the remains to grow and keep on destroying.
GSC is taking it even further, taking the violation and alien reproduction theme from alien but going even further.

If you really think about it Tyranids and chaos are scary on a very different level then for example the brute savagery of Orks. Just as Dark Eldar are literally all about making torture a lifestyle.
These 3 beeing my main armies it might be that I am just a sick sadist or something.

Lots more guardsmen. You want bodies and as it is you can barely field 2 squads. I'd also recommend buying some SM plasma guns and converting some more plasma gunners.You can do the same with Melta guns too, but plasma is the go-to special weapon.

People swear by Conscripts as the ultimate cheap tar pit unit, so it may be worth acquiring a blob of those. Backed by a Priest and a Commissar it can be a real pain for people to deal with.

I've personally had success with a squad of veterans with as much plasma as possible riding around in a Chimera. They can jump out and delete any non-vehicle unit pretty easily and have had decent success vs HQ characters, though that largely depends on how the invul saves go. For maximum efficiency I'd stick a platoon commander in there with them to give them the Take Aim order for those sweet rerolls.

In terms of a 500pt list you could take the following plus weapon options to make a Brigade Detachment
-Company Commander
-Lord Commissar
-Command Squad
-Infantry Squad
-Infantry Squad
-Scion Squad
-Leman Russ

That's just over 400pts before options, so you should be able to bring it up to 500pts.

Daemons! I love daemons because they're such a "have your cake and eat it" type faction.
I initially got them because I didn't just want human type faction, or basically human aliens with funny skin colours. I wanted fiends of Slaanesh, beasts of Nurgle, flamers and screamers.

I love big monsters, I love magic, I love the lore of the chaos god and all their symbolism. Each of them are terrifying in close combat and can match even elite units but are cheap enough to be taken in hordes. In the lore they can be portrayed as hordes of mindless horrors or as free thinking individuals all at the same time.
