What would a regiment comprised of the Redemtionest cultists be like?

Penal legion without knife fighters, probably focus more on their ballistics.

Insofar as you can make a regiment out of it, the whole point of them is dealing with mutants and kayoss shit in the underhive. Throwing them out into the wider galaxy robs them of their purpose

Basic redemptionists are conscripts, you've got penitents and priests, the Deacon would have either a bolter or more flame stuff (probably best as a Comissar with different equipment, and if Klovis is any indication, keeping the "shoot your own men" thing

Sounds about right. You want a big focus on the hysterical, fanatical masses and flame weapons everywhere.

If it was an actual regiment you'd have a core of troops who actually were trained. The conscripts would be hangers on/local "recruits." Priests everywhere, as well as those who do double duty as function-as-commissars. At least one actual commissar in there, to ensure the entire regiments doesn't slide into heresy.

Vehicle support should have as many flamers as possible, so Hellhounds and heavy flamer Senintels are the order of the day. Maybe fit in a Leman Russ tanks, but any sort of dedicated artillery is out.

IIRC, malakev, the redeemer, and the chief of the cult had minis and rules back in 3rd or 4th edition.
