Except two of the three times he had his mind wiped it wasn't intentional. The other time we know little about. And he's only really the head of the Gatewatch because he can act as a human radio and makes plans that don't always fall through. We've had this argument before. You're simply wrong in what you call a Mary Sue and about Jace. As many problems as his character has, being a Mary Sue is not one of them.

I'm fully on board with Arena now that full control is there. Now just make multiplayer a thing.

Looking for help with my Inalla. I've been able to get Arjun to stick in three seperate playgroups, but in each game I've ended up hellbent in the midgame with nothing to do beyond plopping down one dude and passing.

It's good, but I don't think it's for modern. I can't use it as well in CoCo decks because I don't want to hit it, and I need a ridiculous start in elves to use it, after which it just makes more mana, something I had no trouble doing. I could be wrong, I'm not that great at card analysis, but I think at most it'll hit ~10 dollars. I mean, look at Ramunap Excavator. Crucible is a huge effect, but Excavator is sitting at around 5.

Lightining is one of the strongest conduits for red magic. ralzarek, bolas, ajani, ugin, and a plethora of low tier red mages are able to use it with nuances in their ability and chandra is currently too dumb to use it. That means shes using the basic aspect of red magic at a level thats high enough to make other red mages look like bitches and nuke things like ulamog and kozilek. If bolas didnt have 20 years of backstory he would have been fucked.

I'm thinking stuff like Wonder, Levitate, and Goblin War Drums to ensure that my pirates get through, along with extra turns to be able to steal more shit. Lots of cheap mana rocks to be able to rush in with pirates fast so I can use my theft to set them back/lock them down.

Obviously it won't be a tier 1 deck or anything but do you think that would be a decent casual deck?

Flame Slash is probably the highest amount of damage you can cause for 1 mana without additional costs.

Also, fire is usually the element that can deal as much damage as you can as long as you have mana for it.

It is basically an auotonatic edh staple but not strong enough to replace Gaeas Cradle in 60-card elf decks (the reason for the cost). I think this is a pretty good workaround of the reserved list for casual play. It's great design and powerlevel.

Because they both were printed in alpha edition and have many variants that support the rule. Lightining is quick, efficient, and requires focus to use it to win a duel and usually instant. Fire is slow and needs to be charged up typically making it a sorcery or even an enchantment and consumes a lot of mana but, if it can slip past their defenses, it's devastating. Now look at fall of the titans, notice how it doubles the amount of mana that goes into it and how it is also an instant. Not even comet storm, which likely requires some geomancy, converts mana in killing that efficiently.
Chandra is doing things with fire that the best from the past wish they could do when walkers had an easier time shapeshifting into a human facing that direction rather than turning. It took a being that was inherently more in tune with red magic to punish her and she can essentially only do the basic red spell. Chandra is busted.

No. If you play it from your hand, you must pay 4R.

When you discard a card with madness it will always ends up in your graveyard weather you cast it or not since if you cast it, it is put into your graveyard upon resolution.

You'll only get mocked if you don't have enough. There's little point in having that over dice. They're pretty to be sure, but they're pretty obstructing and if you have multiple counters on a dude it'd get cluttered fast compared to just turning the die so it reads a larger number.

Not at all for the counters. People will probably think they're pretty cool and ask how/where you got them.
You might easily end up not having enough of those, depending on how many +1/+1 sort of stuff you run. Much easier to just use a couple d20 for something that has 32 counters on it, for instance.

The gems for summoning sickness might get you laughed at. Its a pretty neat reminder to use if you're a new player, though.

Alright, now I'm seeing one issue. Take a look at the thumbnail of your picture. Not the full picture, just the thumbnail. Notice how you can't tell a difference between any of the counters of the same type? It's probably going to be the same from across the table.

It may be difficult for an opponent to, at a moment's notice, see exactly how many counters are on something when +1/+1 is indistinguishable from +5/+5. With luxury of hindsight, I'd say you should've made them different shades, or made the actual numbers on the counters stand out more.

Maybe it's better in person, but it's definitely an issue to be aware of.

Bestow is fine and I wish it got costed more fairly. Totem Armour is far more broken than Bestow because when something with Bestow on it dies it leaves a smaller, usually worse creature than whatever was good enough to bother enchanting You still lose all the other non-bestow auras you were stacking on your dude.
Totem armour on the other hand still keeps your dude (or in most cases, your Boggle around) with all the powerful auras on it while losing only minor stats.

When totem armour triggers, your opponent may still have a 6/6 Hexproof, First Strike, Vigilance, Lifelink boggle with a Daybreak Coronet and an Etheral armour on it.

When you kill something with Bestow on it, they're left with an often sub-par creature that will die to removal like any other chump.

Storm is broken as shit but it is it's own unique gameplan that has at least some ways to play around it.
Totem armour on the other hand took an already annoying, minimal interaction strategy of "stack buffs on hexproof dudes" and then removes even more of the already minimal interaction by making anything able to avoid lethal combat damage and board wide removal spells. It does nothing but make the decks that play voltron more frustrating to play against with incredible efficency, considering there are what, 4 or 5 cards with totem armour under 2cmc?

It's simply anti-interaction for cheap and I hate it.
