According to my LGS owner, Orks outsell Eldar 3 to 1 for example. Space Marines something like 10 to 1.

It was a very similar situation with High Elves in Fantasy, people always assumed they were among the most popular armies but the truth was near the opposite.

I actually ended up rolling an almost exact copy of Cuddles once (the main difference was that my character didn't have bionic eyes. She was also slightly shorter but still very tall). This was actually RT instead of DH, but since we had rhe DH rulebook we used it for random character appearance charts that RT for some reason lacks.

Aesthetically though, they were mostly comparable. The Visarch, for example, wears armor from before the Fall, and it resembles Dark Eldar armor more than Craftworlder.

People forget that when Lelith is not fighting, she's essentially acting as the curator of her private musem, where she's collected all the trophies she's taken from defeated enemies over the millenia. Usually when she joing a realspace raid it's specifically to add a new item to her collection.
Even when fighting, she refuses to use combat drugs that would theoretically increase her fighting ability due to them polluting her senses and making her unable to fully enjoy the act. All in all, she seems less like a blood-crazed killer and more like an aesthete who'se dedicated her life to perfecting the art wytch combat.

In order to do so, they need to raid, in order to raid, they can't have half of their numbers pregnant for a decade(or however long it was, I'm sure it was a count of years not months) at a time which is why only the high caste noble brats have the privilege of being Trueborn and of having Trueborn offspring instead of being vat grown, because they just can't afford, as a race, to do that anymore.

DE aren't really a dying race. I only read some of the meme arrows, sorry since you wrote all of this, but doesn't seem worth it. Compared to an Eldar, humans move slow as fuck, enough to put one asleep. Humans have the emotional depth of a puddle, their mind would probably explode if they tried to bear the emotions an Eldar can go through in a blink of an eye. Don't even get me started on how little experience they have, with all kinds of things. Humans are clumsy, languid meats of skin and bones without passion.

This whole idea is laughable and just shows how much disregard fanfiction writers have for the race they write about.

Well it's important to remember that the wych cults and kabals can afford to respawn their people. Hence high-casualty shit for entertainment isn't really that costly.

As for the normal Eldar, the argument is that they have a hardcap on their population growth in the form of available empty soulstones.
Sure they might have a powerful young female there who could sire more powerful psykers, but without soulstones she can't. And even if there were soulstones, there may well be even more powerful females they can be used with. Ergo this less powerful one is more useful fighting and potentially saving eldar lives.
