>This was the text that went with those pics last time

Imagine some stranger walking up to you and out of the blue they start aggressively teasing your erogenous zones. You protest at first, but they continue in earnest, until your knees are buckling and you can't even see straight. Once they've reduced you to a panting mess, they flee, leaving you confused but relieved.

The incidents continue. Initially it was the same person, but since he's started doing it in more public places, others have grown more bold and decide to play with your sensitive elf ears whenever they get the chance. You still protest, although you don't resist as much physically since it never seems to do any good.

You don't seem to be building a tolerance to this stimulation. In fact, it almost seems to be getting worse; your whole body throbs as you remember how it felt to have those hands caressing you. The worst thing about it is the humans indifference to the molestation plaguing you during your outings. They seem to take some sort of amusement out of watching your eyes roll back into your head as you stutter some sort of plea, devolving into speaking Elvish at the height of your pleasure.

Good shit. The french really know how to make a franchise.

Lore is great, art style/direction is solid, and the entire thing strikes a nice balance between whimsicality and seriousness. Surprisingly fantastic characterisation for what is essentially a cartoon for teens. Great villains - All of them are extremely good and for mostly different reasons without there being any overlap or repeated themes.

More to the point, it maintains a certain level of quality across every almost every single product in the franchise, which is nice to see. It's all good. Treasures of Kerub, Wakfu, the OVAs, there's never any noticeable drop-off in creativity or execution, as far as I'm concerned.

Season 3 is shaping up to be really good.

I liked Qilby as much as I liked Nox. I think he was just as tragic, even if he was a lot less sympathetic. In fact, I feel like that was the point. His inability to relate or be related to is the primary factor of his particular brand of villainy.

Nah, the point was that tedium had completely dehumanised him. He perceived himself as the centre of the universe because that was the only way that his unique memory would allow him to retain any level of function. Even then, he was trying his best to relate to others, he was just really bad at it.

Better yet, there is no solution to him that doesn't involve just torturing him more. Mercy is literally not an option which exists, the only actual choice is whether the dangerous lunatic is free or not, since his suffering is assured either way.
>>
>>55247020
He indirectly killed his family
>>
>>55247020

Basically destroy all life to fuel a spell to turn back time far enough to save his family, thus restoring to life everybody killed in the process? Logical? Hell no. Believable? Ehh, hard for anyone to sit by and let genocide occur, but it does carry the technicality that once it's all said and done, it's undone anyways, so nobody dies. Victimless crime that just requires a shitton of victims first.
>>
>>55247080
Why does he have a family? He is clearly a robot.

Also, did it work?
>>
>>55247020
He got so caught up in studying an ancient artifact he found that his wife left with his kids, and they ended up dying in a flood or some such.

Given the artifact's ability to manipulate time, he set about trying to feed it enough life force that it could turn back time to before he fucked up his life and lost his family.

After a lifetime of harvesting lifeforce under the justification that when he succeeds, all his evil will never have happened, culminating in the genocide of a people that are tied to their mystical life tree thing, he goes for the moneyshot.
The world only goes back 20 minutes.
>>
>>55247119
He's not a robot, he's a mummy
It worked but he went back 20 minutes instead of 20 years

>>
>>55247119
He's human. But a race of human that slowly turn to dust the more they use their time based powers. Hence the bandages
>>
>>55247119
He's not a robot. He's dust in a set of armour, kept alive by willpower and stolen life-force.

It did not work. In his delusion, he miscalculated how much power would be necessary. He went back 20 minutes. Impressive enough, given the fact that in-lore, not even Xelor, the God of Time, is able to turn back the clock, but it wasn't what he wanted, and when he realised that he'd committed all the atrocities for a goal which was never attainable anyway, it broke him.
>>
>>55247171
It might have been attainable, had yugo and adamai not blown huge holes in the time machine
>>
>>55247182
they also used power from the cube
>>
>>55247080
I would like to point out he is literally crazy. Schizophrenic. Literally hearing a voice that isn't there telling him what to do and how to fix it.
>>
>>55247205
It worked though. Kinda. And he didn't hear voices until he found the cube
>>

>>
>>55247229
Rewatch the last two episodes.

The voice is literally his own voice,
and no one - including the cube's true owner -
heard the voice of the cube. There is a reason Adamai and Yugo were utterly confused when he was talking to the cube while they were in the room.
>>
>>55247271
What was the voice?
>>
>>55247297
Qilby Tempting Nox, trying to find some way out of the cube..

>>55247297

>>
>>55247205

I never said it was a *good* plan. He's a bad dude, no question. But it's not an impossible stretch to see how he got where he got, and to see his reasoning behind it all. Like, look at Frieza from DBZ. Just evil. Blows shit up just because. No goal beyond rule the Galaxy through fear. Fuck that guy. Nox at least you can see the reasoning behind his craziness.
>>
>>55247312
quilby is a rapist clown who got his ass beat by a bunch of underages
>>
I want to like Wakfu, but it feels like a sandbox game run by a DM who wants it to be a story, gets pissed off at his players, and then throws the story at them regardless of the fact that they've been faffing about for months. And then they get their asses handed to them, because they didn't level enough, and they have to get saved by the DMPC.

It's hard not to feel at least a little sorry for him in this scene.

Hell, it's hard not to feel sorry for Yugo, because he has to do this to him. He can't be killed, he can't be neutralised as a threat, he can't be fixed. There is no prison which can hold him save the Cube, which is the worst torture possible for him.

On the other hand if nox was relatable because most of us lost someone dear to us and would do a lot to get it back, but at the same time he made a plan that had a chance of working, he said it himself "if it works it wont matter if it dose not i wont cear". This. For twenty minutes, all time, everywhere, everything in the universe, went backwards. That's fucking huge.
>>
>>55251423
It's true that he fucked up, but that was only after his willpower was completely exhausted by his affliction. He kept up being a decent dude longer than he had any right to do so, and it was the perceived indifference to his fight that eventually drove him to start thinking that just being a good person wasn't enough of a reward for bearing his curse.

He wanted to go explore space before starting the war which got half his race killed, but literally everybody around him was perfectly content with how things were because their memory reset properly when they died. Qilby had experienced the same lifetime lord knows how many times before he snapped.

He never had a chance. He was basically pre-destined to be miserable forever and fuck everyone over when it became too much for him to bear.

He wasn't entirely wrong to listen, Yugo going to fight Ogrest was reckless as shit... then again, if he was there maybe it'd have went smoother.
>>

Someone needed to do something about Ogrest, and cowardice isn't in Yugo's lexicon.
I understand that it was risky, but letting the world get fucked by standing by is just as bad.

The real tragedy of Nox is that if he had just portaled himself back through time instead of rewinding reality it would have worked, there is precedence for it and he certainly had the power and skill to pull it off. Count Harebourg did it in the comics, an eliotrope did it using a dofus in an xbox game, and the Mad Xelor from the Dofus cartoon was able to create localized time reversals.

He will inevitably get his shit kicked in. Despite technically being "right" in his fight with Yugo, there's no excusing the borderline sociopathic asshole he's become. He's a straight bad guy now. He'll either get BTFO, or betrayed by Echo or Oropo leading him to sacrifice himself as some sort of redemption for his sins.
>>
>>55258196
It was reckless, but Yugo did go in intending to just get Tristepin back, and to try not to engage Ogrest head on. And if they hadn't done anything, shit would have probably just gotten worse anyway with Tristepin fighting him, it's not as if Ogrest is going to just stop flooding the planet or nicely stop being Ogrest with all those dofus in him. It was an acceptable level of risk at the time. All the other Eliatrope kings and their dragons agreed with it when Yugo tested the dofus.

Now, you see, the way I interpreted the time fuckery in that last episode differently.

It was Yugo that fucked with the cube in the time-device first. And then Nox activates it AGAIN.

Around the 9:30 mark, yugo fucks with the cube, it brings them somewhere and "drains wakfu". Where are they? They're next to that big crying bastard. I think they went back in time then. That IS the past. Way in the past. Like how Nox expected it to work.

They fight, Nox wins, and then he activates the cube for the SECOND time.
I think that Nox going back in time the second time rewound their FIRST trip. It rewound their personal timeline, from before they made the BIG trip. I think Nox rewound their big trip through time.

Now... there's a bunch of shit that runs afoul of that idea:

1) Nox even says "we can't have traveled back 200 years that fast".

2) Yugo fucking with the cube teleported them, as is yugo's thing.

3) You don't see the dramatic wakfu bar going down the first time.

But it's a better story.
>>
>>55264637

There was a giant fucking island in low orbit about to destroy EVERYTHING. And it was all, explicitly, Pinpin and Yugo's fault. It was a horrible plan that was catastrophically executed and was only salvaged threw Deus Ex Machina that NO ONE knew was there. This is the kinda shit season one versions of themselves would've adventured to stop for fucks sakes. Adamai was a little shit then and a humongous shit now, but he was in the right.

>>
>>55264776
That's the kinda fucked up math that Nox was built on. They fought him then cause the results were nowhere near worth the risks involved. NO ONE had ever traveled back through time and NONE of them knew what fighting a being what whupped every gods behind would bring about.
Here are the results
>Going back 20 minutes as the culmination of decades of slaughter.
>A island about to crash into the world of 12 and end it.
The only difference here is that one got a Deus Ex to make everything alright and the other didn't.
>>
I felt Nox was pathetic for thinking too small. Stop screwing around with planets and start absorbing suns.
>>
>>55264787
Of FUCKING course you try to do something. What they tried to do was fucking stupid and irresponsible. Pinpin was going out there after the immediate problem had been solved and against everyone's better judgement. Yugo had a good plan going in (Get Pinpin the fuck outta there), then decided to go full Colony Drop on everyone. This was a shit plan that fucking failed and put everyone at risk, risk that was unilaterally decided for all of them. They got their happy ending, but it was damn well despite them.

>>
>>55265020
Doing something and pitting 12 primeval power sources together such that they'll cause the end of EVERYTHING are nowhere near the same thing. Adamai was against using the Dofus and was right about that. Had he tried to stop all other plans, he'd have been categorically wrong.

There are many things Nox could've done about he's tragedy. Slaughtering untold amounts of people in some mad gambit to rewind time and undo his mistakes was not the right way to go about things.

Yugo promised he'd be careful, Adamai decided to suddenly not trust him for no reason when he had no cause to (remember Adamai constantly badgered Yugo to use the Eliacube, and Yugo was the one to avoid risking its power), and for the whole fight against Ogrest that Yugo was there for he avoided fighting head on barring one explicit point where he was backed into a corner. He even told Tristepin point blank that he wouldn't fight head on. He was as careful as he could have possibly been when trying to prevent an apocalypse.

And now Adamai is jaunting around with the Eliatrope Dofus without a care in the world to the destruction he can cause. He was wrong at best, and a hypocritical asshole at worst.

His promises led to an apocalyptic event. One that was brought about by his own hands and was solved without his or Pinpin's help. What ultimately saved everyone, including Ogrest, had Nothing to do with Yugo and the Iop. Their action made everything worse and had salvation not come from out of nowhere, with neither their say so nor forethought, they would've been responsible for Armageddon. That's what their plan amounted to. Adamai, little shit that he was and currently is(with edgy on top), was right.

What puzzles me is that some executive sees a show with contet which is not suitable towards little kids, which is one of the most over saturated groups when it comes to animation work, and ckearky keans more towars teens and just decides.

Funny thing is, there is some sort of split.

If it could be any way possible be traded as a show for little children, they will cut out whatever neccessary to sell it to little kids.

Deleting weapons from naruto
Blood from detectiv conan
The "shadowreal" of course is also a thing in germany yu-gi-oh
Basically anything more graphic than "quickly flailing around and yelling" will be cut out or changed.
It happened more than once that people had seemingly irrational responses to the things said, which of course detaches the viewership from the medium and reducing the group interesetd in said medium. There was that one scene in naruto that stuck with me the most. Where they meet that trap ninja and the one with the giant sword, which was erased in german TV, the sword i mean. Okay so they talk about training in their village, that thei form pairds, train together, live together, yadda yadda, and one day they have to DEFEAT their partner... everyone is shocked that they would have to do something so cruel like DEFEATING your partner..... welcome to germany.

And then we have shit like elfenlied or Hellsing not the nazi ova, sadly running basically uncencored late at night in public TV.

Like the age group between 10 and 21 doesn't even exist.

>>55275803

Don't forget about German Naruto. Other than having an infamously bad OP (that's all in English for some reason), they also entirely cut out Zabuza's sword. That's especially hilarious in a certain scene where Zabuza's massive sword lodges itself into a tree and Zabuza jumps on top of the hilt that sticks out. In the German version, the hilt just floats in nothingness a few feet away from the tree. They retained Zabuza as a swordsman, but removed the blade of his sword.

Germans ruin everything, from European demographics to Asian animation.

Part of the issue is that he didn't take into consideration that, even if the entire lifeforce of the sadida race might have been enough to turn back time to where he wanted to, while doing so the energy would go back to where it was as well. So basically, part of the energy was spent in going back those 20 minutes, the rest of it went back into resurrecting everyone he had killed during those 20 minutes. He never really had a chance to go back, because no matter how much energy you gather, once you start to rewind time you'll only be spending a small fraction of what you actually have, because the rest will just rewind to where it was previously.

Anime influenced a lot of modern French animation so it's not all that surprising. The French are confirmed to be the world's biggest weeaboo's, having the largest non-Japanese manga market in the world.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga#Europe

Then again, the French have been weeaboos since the 19th century so there's nothing new under the sun.

Nox didn't become the god of time. That role is still held by Xelor.

He did, however, become what is effectively a saint amongst the Xelor race, and a lot of Xelor started trying to emulate him after he died. Do note that Nox may or may not actually have been a Xelor. He didn't worship the god, after all, and in fact was actively trying to undermine him and break his shit.
