2nding ASL (Advanced Squad Leader) - being crazy isn't a requirement, but it helps.

The new OGRE stuff from Steve Jackson Games is also particularly nice.

If you're looking for historical war games, check out GMT games, or 'Two Hour Wargames'. They both have stuff that might appeal.

If you're looking for 'World War II'-lite checkout Heroes of Normandie by Devil-Pig Games. It's interesting without being ASL levels of detail and charts-o-the-apocalypse.
