I was found broken and dying by a rogue trader in the slave pits of a chaos warband he destroyed. A few cybernetic replacements later, I joined his crew, becoming the ship's chaplain, spending most of my time keeping the crew's morale high and their hearts pure. She's a miraculous medic and an even better cook.

Created a somewhat sadistic doctor in a steampunky/ Victorian/ Lovecraftian setting. Ended up being a murderous eldritch researcher with a happy-go-lucky attitude.

To shorten it as much as possible after a little context because it'd take a really long time and I don't want to shit up the thread with something people wouldn't want.

I'd start a story of it in-depth if anyone would be interested and it wouldn't bother others. Don't want to be that guy.

Well, to be honest the initial proposition is pretty much a contradiction. Daniel Dankovski was about as far on the opposite spectrum than a mad scientist would be. Also he wasn't sadistic, just very cynical.

I know. But my character was quickly driven away from the original Daniel Dankovski image to the mad scientist/ runaway crime suspect area where he had to do some stabbing and punching to survive. He also had amnesia and his memories returning to him revealed some dark eldritch secrets.
