fun is not an objective value, so this would depend entirely upon what each player values as being fun.

I have a theory that variety is universally fun, but there are many ways to find variety in magic. for the Spike psychographic I think variety of opponents, opposing decks, and routes of play is what they find fun, so a single deck is almost antithetical to fun. the routine complaints and lower attendance when formats, especially standard, become stagnant would seem to support that.

Not aggro, because it's both boring to use and to face.
Not combo, because, while fun to use, it can be boring to face.
Not STAX, because, while very fun to use, certain people find it anathema to fun.
Not drawgo, because while also quite fun to use, some people find it a tedious slog to face.

I've never seen my opponents more mad than when I use copy effects on them.

Lantern is pretty fun to play against, I enjoy when my opponent helps me to choose what cards to play.

My most enjoyable game lately was bant spirits against UW control, an incredibly long, grindy game, with a lot of hard choices. It was a fucking blast, but I could see how someone loathed playing UW control
