I have my desert people riding scorpion, for long Travel they put tissues on the tails to protect them from the sun.
Also they are commonly using them for ambush,using a special whistle making a sound which can only be heard by the scorpion fuckers are huge but stealthy as they can bury themselves in sand(i dont know if scorpion Can do that or if they can even hear anything, I just go with rule of cool in certain cases)

I once played that, as a 4e halfling paladin on an ostrich. Good times, except for one jackass in the group who just could not get over that RAW disallowed small mounts.

Dragonflies. Like literal hybrids of dragon and dragonfly. The barbaric, bloodthirsty wood elves of my setting brought this from the faerie dimension. I can't wait to let them loose on my players in our upcoming campaign.
