tbqh i've never liked people trying to exactly translate lightning bolt to yugioh. The way damage works is just too different. Like imagine having every direct damage spell translated into a yugioh spell and imagine how weird it would be to have so many spells say "destroy target creature with x def or deal x damage to a player"

They draw the cards, then discard all but 3 at the end of the turn. Yugioh card limits only limit how many cards you can have at the end of the turn, while the turn's happening you can have your whole deck in your hand if you can manage it.

This is why I will never get back into YGO. I know how to play the game and I still have to squint and read cards 3+ times just to figure out what the fuck they do because the cards are so terribly formatted and Konami doesn't seem to want to fix them at all.
