there are some bits of interesting lore, most of the art is garbage, the rules are efficient and fun, not all armies are equally supported, a lot of the lore is in an embryonic stage and it's difficult to get an idea of what the world is like outside of war.

but really, you shouldn't get into army-focused wargames, convert a small team of really cool miniatures and play Dark Age of Sigmar with people who will appreciate your modelling skills

If you're in it for the lore, nah. AoS lore is shite, more goofy than serious.
If you're in it for the game, go ahead. The game plays really well, even if some factions need tweaking

Just as dead as WHFB was in my area for what#s that worth.

The rules are sevrvicable for a skirmish game, the lore still sucks balls, especially the naming conventions.

I did try it, several times before and after they added points.
And I still dislike it because they took out most of the tactical aspects that set WHFB apart from skirmish games; facing doesn't matter, formation hardly ever matters and there is little point in planning anything out for several turns in advance, since the everything can move in every direction in an instance.
