I'm building a deck focused on playing a bunch of wurms. Should I go Trostani for big heals, or Ikra Shidiqi & Tymna the Weaver for also big heals but also black for Massacre Wurm? I dopn't know if it's worth adding black just for Massacre Wurm, despite his strength.

Basic game plan is to slow/lockdown the board with stax effects then get into a state where we can safely get out bruna and start swinging people out the game. Some cards (crypt, thron, sphere, fetches) are not included due to budget constraints. Anything expensive in there is something I already own. Trying to keep it under $500

It's not that great in EDH since you'll probably be more worried about a Wrath of God than spot removal, and if you are losing something to spot removal drawing a single card is probably not going to be that much of a boon.

Still, it's not entirely useless, and for one mana you really can't complain. It's probably going to be one of those dollar-rare cards that don't really perform, but aren't so shit you can't run them and feel good about it either.

Prophetic Flamedpeaker, Outpost siege, and the two Chandras are usually my go-to cards for that particular mechanic.

As for ramp, there are enough mana rocks that it really shouldn't be a problem for any color.

I'm not the best deck builder by any means, but I've never had a consistent issue with ramp or draw in my Boros deck.

My office group won't play anything but their high-tiered, meticulously-tuned decks again and again, to the point of tedium. Any suggestion to try anything fun or more casual (like just buying a box of precons and each taking one and sleeving up-as-is) is dismissed. They just want to play the same game again and again because they hate the prospect of losing. When I build a deck specifically to counter their same-old strategy, they get grumpy and target me and accuse my deck of being "degenerate." So if I win once, they'll single me out and beat down on me every game for weeks to come.

We also used to do drafts and precons and stuff, but nobody wants to anymore because there's randomness, luck, and creativity required rather than just buying the most expensive goodstuff EDHRec suggests for their commander.

Pic related has the potential for a lot more life, as well as taking advantage of other etb effects. I'd recommend Aura Shards as well, because your commander can make tokens.

I need some help.

I've been building this saucy bastard, and I've reached a bit of an impasse. What kind of fatties should I run? I mostly want to smash face, but I have things like Stormtide Leviathan and Aboshan in there, with no real wincon. I have a bunch of clone/copy effects and mass polymorph, but I have no idea how to actually win games. Should I just scrap everything and make a Memnarch artifact ramp deck with a different commander?

Drop Sisay's ring, drop the lotus, drop the talisman, only rocks you're running are the ones that produce one less than they cost, consider utopia sprawl, wild growth, exploration and carpet of flowers, as for fatties it's all the legal legendary eldrazi and blightsteel, things under 10 mana aren't considered fatties, also running Dark Depths+Thespian Stage because I have a land fetish and run like 50 lands, 26 nonbasic because I have a land fetish, I wrote it twice because it's important. Gameplan is to ramp like a motherfucker and then strip mine people with snek crucible or actual crucible out along with extra land drop effects like oracle, exploration and azusa out, punching people in the dick with eldrazi or dropping a token army on the board via rampaging baloths, avenger of zendikar or hornet queen and then buffing them with craterhoof or green Kamahl. I also run a Mindslaver in the deck because with enough mana you can slaverlock people if you have buried ruins and crucible out.

My wurmcoil is a key part of Feldon, so I'd rather not pull it out, but I'm taking apart my Brago that runs both Battlesphere and Duplicant so that'll work, and I guess I can fit in a phyrexian ingester too. I have 4 or 5 steel hellkite so that's also a fantastic idea, and caged sun is one of my favorite cards, though I might think about picking up that gauntlet with the same effect. I'm a giant fan of this guy in particular because it can really fuck up someone's day. Alternatively, if you can goad people and are running blue, Aetherize and Aetherspouts are amazing. The epitome of jank is casting imagined threats into either one of those cards for a massive blowout every single time, if you can pull it off.

Nevermore makes an appearance, Exlusion Ritual and Duplicant show up, Phyrexian Ingester is criminally underrated and Palace Jailer is a compact blow out. The only way to beat me is to make sure Brago doesn't stick, but I'm a crafty bastard, and I'll wait until you tap out dealing with my nonsense before dropping him. As soon as he connects, I shit value and it's game over.

Yes and no, certain brago decks can be extremely fragile, or have Brago as a very telegraphed play, which makes counterspell backup necessary. My whole idea was to make the deck completely playable without him, and cranked up to 11 as soon as Brago shows up. The trick? Make sure you have world-ending fatties available. Jin-Gitaxias is incredibly strong for what he does, and Void Winnower is criminally underrated as well. The odd strionic combo is good, particularly if you run quicksilver or that thing that makes things enter the battlefield untapped so you can prodigal sorcerer them to death.
