Form up, neat and orderly, lads! On the double!

Men, I've got some bad news for you all. Rather than being sent to the front lines, to assist in pushing back the foul heretic forces entrenched upon this world. We're instead being shipped to investigate more pressing matters.

As of twenty-four hours ago, a nearby research outpost, that our Mechanicus friends set up, has gone silent, and we're being sent to investigate.

I should warn you all to dress lightly. As we shall be heading inside of an active volcano for this one. And before anyone asks; no, you cannot bring the ingredients to make s'mores with you! Our job is to investigate the place, not bloody enjoy ourselves!

>Welcome to ''Field Kit Inspection", home of the 'Unknown Regiment". Feel free to join in! Remember though, we tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, while greentexts for are used for describing a character's actions. D20s are for combat checks and d100s for other things you wish to roll, with higher being better.

Speaking of the Valkyire incident, Micheal-

>Matthias would have two men grab hold of Micheal by the arms, before Matthias himself would slap a cold metal collar around his neck. A loud *click*, signifying it has locked into place around his neck.

-Until such a time as the investigation has been fully concluded, and the charges have been dropped. I have been informed by divisional command, that you are to wear an explosive collar at all times. Any attempts to tamper with, or remove it, will be cause for the collar to explode, and kill you. Any attempt to disobey orders given to you, will be cause for the collar to explode as well. Do you understand, Micheal?

>>55202611
As expected of a Praetorian!

Oh course sir, who else but us?
>He gives a salute

>Making their way inside. They would find many smaller, far narrower tunnels, that would branch off and lead into dozens of far smaller passage ways.
>Should they follow the main route, the scout team would eventually come across a vast, metal door, big enough for a Mechanicus dune crawler to make its way through.
>Surrounding the massive door, would be the broken and mangled bodies of nearly two dozen Skittari warriors and half dozen tech adepts, along with a half dozen broken up automated turret emplacements.

>>55205639
I agree with your statements. Both of them.

We've already unearthed as much xenotech we could from this volcano. The Lava's already consumed most of the few necron artifacts left... and it's rising. At least no necron army will arise to mess with us!

*faint screeeching*
>>
>>55206230
Now Matthias, my good friend.
We cannot allow that ork to wander around through camp. The consequences could be disastrous.
I propose an assassination.
We ask him to carry something, he picks it up, walks, and then it explodes and kills him.
Can you see any potential issues with this plan?
>>
>>55206254
>Matthias quickly gets rid of it. Neither wanting, nor needing this sort of warp bullshit.
>Besides. He had already eaten his meal bricks (as dry as it was.)
>>
>>55205579
Oh I forgot about that!
And yes I was an interagtor under quixos who didn't ask questions. After he was executed for treason and heresy I figured it was a good time to disappear and who would check a guard regiment? It's the perfect hiding place
>>
>>55205969
Oh, good. Pleased to meet you, Private Gladstone.

>>
>>55206521
Yeah this regiment is great! Everyone is too jaded or dense to notice or care about my xeno tech collection. I even have a wraithlord and no one cares
>>
>>55206276
>>55206276
>Matthias' left brow would raise slightly, upon hearing such an idea out of the blue.

Do you have any idea what would happen if, say, your plan failed? First if all, such an attempt might very well cause the "Servitor", to act out, and start killing everyone around him.
>He would begin typing into his dataslate, while continuing to talk.

Secondly, if the tech-priest is indeed telling the truth, whatever the odds of that are. It would be a disaster for both our regiment, as well as the crusade force. As every tech-adept might very well refuse to assist us with repairs. And I shouldn't have to tell you how few people there are, who can repair an Eviserator chainsword. Let alone, a Leman Russ battle tank.

>After signing his signature upon the dataslate, he would send off the report, before turning it off and putting it down on the desk.

Don't mistake my words for signs of chaos or corruption. I know damn well how you feel about this "Depherion". But there are rules and regulations both written, and unwritten, that I have to follow in my job. And one of those includes "Don't mess with the Tech-priests, if you want your guns to keep functioning".

So, until command gives me the order to act and take him down. You're simply going to have to wait, and give up on any attempt to assassinate either Depherion or his Servitor.

Now then... Is there anything else I can help you with, Micheal. Or will that be all?
>>
>>55206670
A wraithlord? That's wonderful! would you mind if I saw it?
>>
>>55206644

>>
>>55206679
Sigh, you somehow remain able to act in the most logical way possible Matthias, I have no idea how you do it.

But standard procedure for suspected heretics that cannot be killed for some reason is normally temporary imprisonment.
I mean, when has this regiment started letting suspected heretics and actual xenos just walk around doing whatever they want?
>>

>>
>>55206748
>Matthias would have to resist the urge to just shout out "REALLY!? REALLY!?!".
>Instead, his face would remain normal.

Don't think I haven't taken precautions, Micheal. I'd be an idiot if I didn't. But considering this is, at the very least a Tech-priest, and at the very worst, a high level heretek with plans for every possibility. I'm not going to risk the lives my men, or anyone else, watching over him in a makeshift prison cell.
>>
>>55206734
>upon seeing the ork, his face contorts into a look of shock and anger
>he jumps to his feet, his hand diving into his coat, fingers wrapping around his trusty ice pick

Yeah but combining eldar and necron tech caused a spiritual feedback that summoned angry eldar ghosts. That why the wraithlord is de active right now it's determined to kill me.
Here are the gauss flayers I moded to be aesthetically the same as a plasma gun but performance wise still the same in order to make it not obvious it's xeno tech
>>
>>55207095

I hear the new tech-priest has lots of left boots he has no idea what to do with.

No.

Of course to do so means hundreds of tests with Xenotech to make sure the effects of the weaponry I build are the same as the ones of the necron gauss rifle but no clumsy, untrustful Xeno tech involved, why we don't want the machine spirit making the rifles explode in our troopers hands! Do we now?
