What monsters share a special relationship with the moon?
Besides lycantropes I have yet to see a single one of them. No critters that is affected by moonlight or moon cycles. Why?

East Asia (China, Japan and Korea) and Native American (Aztec and Cree) have stories about rabbits eitheron the moon or getting their image placed on the moon.
Apep, Sköll and Hati, and probably some other divine monsters are related to eclipses too, if you want to go by that angle.

But besides being on the moon they have no lasting connection.
Like a jaguar is a monster from the Jungle but can be as effectively from the mountains, while Poison Ivy making jungle growth sprut everywhere have a good connection to the jungle.
