It was just a great matchup, both fictionally and mechanically. At my FLGS we had an off-and-on campaign of Bret adventurers going south and trying to set up crusader states, and Tomb Kings trying to throw them back, then follow them home to take back their stuff Pharaoh Tutifruti a shit, Marquis de Jaqais forever. In the games themselves, the TK were some of the best at taking a lance formation charge and grinding relentlessly forward, forcing the Bret player to be daring and send their Paladins and Lord against the King/Prince/Liche Priests, who wouldn't just bury themselves in endlessly regenerating zombie hordes like VC could.

The whole setup lent itself to fun, dynamic battles where games could go either way, and you had a good story making a reason for the battle and for what happened in the battle. And now they celebrate together in the peace of death, safe from AoS.

If the bullet gets caught in the barrel and forms a blockage, I think one of two things would happen.

If the gun is recoil operated (as most handguns are), and has nowhere for the gas to vent, the gas has to push either the bullet or the casing all the way out of either end of the barrel before it can vent. The gun could pretty feasibly go kaboom at this point. Like, barrel breaking apart kind of kaboom

If the gun is gas operated, and has an outlet in the barrel for the gas to vent (like most automatic rifles), then you're going to have a fuckload more gas pressure going down the line than you usually would. It would still fuck shit up but may fuck shit up away from the operator's hands and face.

Automatic guns can be pretty finely tuned machines. No matter how it was operated, if a bullet got caught in the barrel and the gun didn't just blow up it'd probably throw enough shit out of whack that it would misfeed, lock up, or otherwise fail to return to battery.

The key is setting strong boundaries with the nursing staff: you're a professional colleague, tnot their friends. Be Nice, Be Polite, but, Do your job (and occasionally instruct/teach someone how things work if they want to know). Stay away from the 30+y nurse vets - they're pretty much hospital nobility.
