I don't think so.

Megumin has to have high enough int to cast at least a third level spell, fireball. The closest equivalent to her explosive magic off the top of my head.

So int 13 at least.

You are thinking wisdom. Of which everyone but kazuma has like, 5, and kazuma has a tentative 10, depending on the issue at hand.

Megumeme is canonically described as having high intelligence
Kazuma is canonically described as having slightly above average intelligence
Aqua is canonically described as having below average intelligence
We don't know anything about Darkness' intellgence, but we have no reason to assume it's either particularly high or particularly low.

I'd say their respective scores would be 16 - 13 - 8 - 10
>>
>>55191340
Considering how hesitant the guild-lady was about saying "Below average", considering how high Aqua's other stats are, I'd guess it was a little bit lower than 8.

Megumeme drops a spell that covers the area of an entire castle, you're looking at Level 7+, if not straight up epic level casting.

We don't know what is considered average intelligence in that fantasy world, but it is probably around IQ 60-80.

He's not a 100th level D&D character, he's a lvl. 100 Yggdrasil character. He's also running a flavor build in a single-attribute-dependent class. Hence "INT: Yes".

STR is hard to gauge, largely because the only times he's ever shown doing anything physical is when he's specifically buffed himself to be capable of doing so (that spell he uses to be able to wield swords, I forget what it's called - "Perfect Warrior", maybe?) I can't remember if he was buffed up when he hugged that crazy chick to death, or if Perfect Warrior(?) even affects the user's strength or merely grants hem martial prowess, so I figure 18 STR is probably enough to cover the stunts he pulls. D&D stats are logarithmic scaling; 18 STR characters can literally punch through armor barefisted with good rolls.

DEX is also hard to gauge for the above reasons. Again, he's never shown doing anything particularly athletic when he hasn't buffed up, or even, for that matter, ever moving quicker than a regal mosey. If you go with the assumption, as I have, that Yggdrasil combat ability is literally just based on where you put your skill points, there is no reason to suggest Momonga put any of his ASIs into the equivalent of DEX.

His WIS is very good - about as good as you would expect from the former leader of the most feared PVP guild in Yggdrasil - but he relies on carefully considering his variables and forming logical plans rather than thinking on his feet. Shalltear had already lost the fight to him the second it started, because he planned the entire thing start to finish. That is not the tactic of someone highly reliant on WIS.

CHA is partially due to stigma and partially due to him being a friggin' emotionally dead sociopathic skelliman. After he eases into the evil overlord schtick, he shows basically no capability - or interest - in making emotional impressions on others other than what is necessary to maintain a tactical bluff.

Yes, and all his other stats are almost perfectly average. Though how the fuck that translates to him basically being incompetent at everything, I don't know For that matter, Aqua's low intelligence doesn't explain her being shit at everything when all her other stats are at maximum Like seriously, how can someone with max strength not escape a low level giant frog's mouth without help?

Kazuma has incredibly high Luck and incredibly low Strength (less than Megumin). Aqua fucks everything up because she has incredibly low Luck. Aqua's luck is so bad that it cancels out Kazuma's and causes the party to fail at everything.
>>
>>55197147
Because Aqua is stupid and panics easily, so she didn't even try.
Also she has utterly insanely low luck. Kazuma on the other hand has the highest luck Guild-lady has ever seen, but Luck is considered a useless stat.

I'm pretty sure everyone is wrong on that count, they just don't realize how powerful it is. I mean despite their.....issues Megumin and Darkness ARE incredibly powerful teammates.

13 INT is minimum to be a wizard but she claims to be a arch wizard so minimum 15 INT is the next step up. Plus we see that she formally studied magic at a school something only wizards typically do. ITT: People who never read the novels are discussing characters from the novels

Megumin is from a sub-race of humans that have magically altered genetics to have high INT and spell-casting powers.
This was done by a weeb who was summoned just like Kazuma but basically became a wizard with no sense of right and wrong.
He also created Waifu-Golems and the Walking Fortress.
Being a huge weeb he also gave them red eyes and taught them to be chuuni as fuck.

The Crimson Demons themselves are ridiculously genre-savvy, they just do not give enough fucks.
They are the only ones with a school-system and also the only ones to employ powerleveling to their children by hunting down powerful monsters, incapacitating them and then making the kids finish of the monsters so they get ridiculous amounts of EXP.
They also skip learning basic magic in favour of advanced magic which has all the ridiculous spells.
Megumin put the Skillpoints she was supposed to put into Advanced-Magic into Explosion-Magic which Crimson Demons treat as retarded because it has only one powerful spell, no utility spells, has a long ass cast time and is generally hard to use.

>>55197345
>LCK "plot variable"
Its not. They way the Luck-Stat works is kinda a bit like in the older TES games; It governs only a handful of skills and outside of that is kinda useless. This is why the Guild-Lady also told Kazuma to become a merchant in the beginning so he could get the most out of his high luck-stat,

Yeah, and its a bundle of magic circuits which, last i checked, were just using magic. His just happen to be focused on time control.
>>
>>55200392
Crest Circuits are attuned to specific spells. Kerry had no idea how to use the time-magic, but his family line did and attuned the Crest Circuits to those spells.
>>

>>
>>55200472

Rather, more like a sorcerer using an arcane thesis spell.

The thing about crests is that they are just magic circuits, which you already need to use magic. This one just happens to be a bundle that has a specific use. For that matter, its not even the same use as the actual full on crest, its a bastardized and applied version of it. The regular version of the full emiya crest would be something like time stop. Kiritsugu's is more like maximized and empowered haste/slow

So yeah, still saying its closer to an arcane thesis spell.

Megumin is explicitly a genius. She's like INT20.

She just wastes her incredible gifts on trying to get the most out of the least useful but coolest type of magic.

The whole point of Kazuma's party is that they all COULD be amazing, but their quirks make them next to useless in a group that isn't full of other weird unbalanced types. Megumin is a genius megamage who fixates on useless magic. Darkness is in many ways the perfect paladin, more than willing to put her life on the line for others and capable of taking an artillery barrage to the face, but her fixation on being a damagesponge makes her offensively useless and often puts the party in more danger than it prevents. Aqua is a literal goddess with insane magical powers, capable of easily defeating the most powerful demons and undead and performing legit miracles, but her short-sightedness, laziness, and general stupidity gimps the fuck out of her.

STR 18
CON 18
DEX 14
INT 16
WIS 16
CHA 25
Saving Throws: CON +9, WIS +7, CHA +1
Skills: Perception +7, Persuasion +9

Abilities:
Legendary Resistance (3/Day): If DIO fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed it instead.
Regenerator: DIO regains 2D12 hit points of damage at the start of its turn, provided he has at least 1 hit point and has not been in sunlight, or been attacked by radiant damage since the end of his previous turn.
Weakness to sunlight: If DIO starts his turn within sunlight, he takes 20 damage. While in sunlight, DIO has disadvantage on attack rolls and Strength, Constitution and Dexterity saving throws.
Actions:
Stand flurry: Melee weapon attack, +9 to hit, reach 30 ft. Hit: 3d6. If the target does not have a Stand, then the attack is considered an unseen one.
Time Stop: DIO briefly stops the flow of time for anybody but himself, no time passes for other creatures while DIO gets 1 turn extra, during which he can use actions as normal. The extra turn provided by this action does not count as a turn for the Regenerator ability.
During the effects of a Time Stop, any talking by DIO is considered a free action.
Charisma (3/Day): DIO targets one humanoid it can see within 30 feet and implants a mind controlling fleshbud. The target must succeed on a 17 DC Wisdom saving throw, or be charmed by DIO. The charmed target regards DIO as a trusted friend to be heeded and protected. Although the target isn't under the vampire's control, it takes the vampire's requests or actions in the most favorable way it can. The fleshbud can be removed with a DC 20 Medicine check. If DIO is destroyed while a target is still under the effects of the fleshbud, it must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, or be afflicted with 3D10 necrotic damage.

Which is why whenever Kazuma with non-retarded party members like the time he and Dust swapped for a day or when he teams up with Chris his ability to get shit done goes through the fucking roof. Its dumb but lets not be hyperbolic about it. That happened when Megumin was very young and had her life saved by a mysterious stranger that defeated an unbelievably strong monster in a single blow. Children being molded by one life-defining encounter in their youth is nothing new in fiction. Its undercut somewhat that initially loligumin wanted to learn the mysterious stranger's skill because she saw that the lady was STACKED and that learning Explosion would make her fill out as she grew up too. It didn't work obviously. But again she was like 4 when this happened

As I already said, WIS was a mistake.
>>
>>55203939

>>
>>55203939
I don't know if Wisdom is a mistake, but I will admit Wisdom is definitely a misnomer. In D&D it seems to more represent intuition and mental constitution rather than any of what we attribute to Wisdom in real life.
>>
>>55204063
>Are you saying Wisdom and Intelligence should be a single stat?
I think it should be partially rolled back into intelligence and partially made into other stat with less misleading name. As of now wisdom stands for practical intelligence AKA "common sense", perceptiveness and willpower and I don't see how all three are necessary related.
>>
>>55204149
A fair point, there are problems with that. Especially the willpower bit, imo.

It still doesn't make making a conscious choice to screw yourself over a sign of stupidity.

>It still doesn't make making a conscious choice to screw yourself over a sign of stupidity.
If consciously screwing yourself is not stupidity, I don't know what is.
>>
>>55204328
Well obviously, wrongly believing your actions to be clever and correct is stupid.

If I were to play a game of say, chess, and I trade in my queen for an enemy pawn because I wrongly believe this to be a strategically sound move, not realizing that I'm screwing myself, that makes me an idiot.

If I use the same move out of boredom with the game or because I'm playing with a new player and I'm not trying to win, realizing that it'll cost me the game, that does not make me an idiot.
That just means my priorities lie elsewhere.
>>
>>55204458
>Well obviously, wrongly believing your actions to be clever and correct is stupid.

She gave kazuma her card, full point reset, and said for him to put in what he thinks would be most effective.

Off-topic question, but does being a socially awkward girl turn off most guys, or is it usually tolerated as long as she doesn't embarrass the guy in the process? Does it repel other girls? I know that socially awkward guys are natural anti-vagina force-fields, but most guys aren't pretty or cute.

I mean if you look at the Cold War having nukes makes you very hard to fuck with. No faction, other than brain-damaged terrorists that everyone hates, wants to dick around with the country that can glass all of your cities. The party probably could use the threat of blasting the enemy to solve diplomatic problems.

>You can bash your head against a rock because someone told you it would make money rain from the sky, and that would be stupid.
That would be stupid only if you know it won't work.
>You can bash your head against a rock because a man is holding your friend hostage and demands that you do so, and that would not be.
That would be stupid only if you know it won't work, again.
You keep mixing up ignorance and stupidity.
>An action being stupid depends on if it achieves your goals for you or not.
No. Whether it achieves your goals or not makes action effective or not. Even stupid action can be effective in certain circumstances.
>>
>>55205646
Do not confuse moe and actual social awkwardness.
>>
>>55205656
Then what is your proposed definition of stupidity?
In my eyes, stupidity can only be seen and judged by others, as nobody will perform an action they know is stupid unless it advances their goals or desires in some way.
>>
>>55205656
Okay, so it's stupid if you have the necessary information to figure out it won't work, but expect it to work anyways. What if you know it won't work, don't expect it to work, but do it anyways for other reasons, like you just wanted to bash your head against a rock
>>
>>55205758
>Stupidity is a lack of intelligence, understanding, reason, wit or sense.
I.e. inability to absorb (inability to make observations), organize (inability to find patterns and etc.) or communicate information. Not knowing something is not stupid. Knowing something and failing to use this knowledge in a situation where it will be useful is stupid.
>>
>>55205646

No one does something just because. Self-destructive behavior is usually a way to attract attention or to escape from problems.

Then we hit another roadblock: What is useful?
You do not seem to consider happiness to be useful, as Megumin's use of her skills helps her be happy, yet you call her an idiot. But what is useful then? Is happiness not the desired end product of all things?

No, Kazuma is very out of shape because he locked himself in a room for several years of his life - he's below the average human's strength and vitality, and it shows. Strength wise Magumin's average for someone of her age. I' also say they have the same level of intelligence, just distributed across different fields of knowledge, given Kazuma's need for quick thinking just to survive as well as his business acumen.

I also think you're severely underestimating Aqua's physical stats: she's a Goddess, they should be all be ranging in the 20s and its been stated that Aqua's technically the strongest member of the party.

Luck is pretty useless for an adventurer. It's useful in certain niche applications and certain abilities key off it, but in general it doesn't directly help you as an adventurer.

Now if you want to say, make alot of money as a merchant or a gambler, then it's pretty useful, it's just that there isn't much overlap between what works for a merchant and what works for an adventurer.
>>

>>
>>55213576
Except it totally does. Kazuma lucked into a party with amazing stats, and willing to join his party. But Aqua's shitty luck got them people with terrible problems.

Aqua's bad luck constantly leads to them being in over their head in terrible situations
Kazuma's luck usually lets them survive, or even profit, from it.

It's more powerful than most people think in-universe. Which is honestly part of the joke. Their culture is based on the actions of previous people who have been Isekaied, and their effects on the world. The Crimson Demons only exist because of one of those people, for example.
I'd be willing to bet that one of the Isekaied people thought Luck was a shit-stat, and was a big enough influence that everyone just accepts it at face value.

Likewise the Adventurer class is seen as shit-tier, despite the fact it can learn ANY skill if the person has a teacher. It has AMAZING versatility if you work for it, but everyone assumes it's just shit.

>>
>>55213980
The thing is a high luck stat doesn't guarantee that you'll find a good party, and in fact the party that Kazuma "lucked" into is pretty shitty. His performance is immediately tripled when he got into a normal party for once, and the reason he actually managed to accomplish anything with his party owes more to his intelligence than his luck.

Furthermore the luck stat doesn't directly affect combat performance. Having high luck doesn't make your attacks hit harder or give you access to more combat options. Sure there are certain skills like steal or lucky shot that key off it, but you can replicate those skills using high dex, and it'd still have more applications other than that one skill. Luck doesn't provide a path to victory, or even guarantee that you have the required ingredients to achieve victory.

Also while the adventurer class can learn any skill, it requires that someone who already knows that skill be willing to teach you and it also costs double the skill points to learn them. Plus the stat growths it provide is pretty shitty as well. I liken it to the Monk in that it can be overpowered if you have a specific build in mind, but in general you're better off going with a different class.
