Some people disagreed about who was king.
I thought it was me, but there were some unfortunate fellows who were rather insistent THEY were king. I thought maybe the whole mess could be cleared up with a bit of tea and talking, but they were under the impression that I couldn't be king because, and I quote, "You don't have an army." They then made some rather crude remarks about my intelligence, sanity, and political allies. (Namely, that I lacked those things, and was thus an unfit candidate for the throne.) I smiled, nodded, and collected their heads so that maybe the next round of negotiations would go better.
It turns out, though, that becoming king takes more than killing off all your competitors. You have to actually get everybody to agree that you're king - not just your rivals, but the nobles who support them, and the smaller nobles, and the undecided, and the rival nations' leaders if you don't want to get invaded). And you can't just kill everyone who doesn't think you're king, becuase when you start out, nobody thinks you're king, and if you went around killing every person who laughed at you when you called yourself king, there'd be nobody left to rule when you're done.
But the most important thing about becoming King is being really, really, really rich. Or having really rich friends. That makes the whole process a lot easier. But even then, there will be people thinking you aren't REALLY king, just a murderous figurehead controlled by some puppeteer.

I went to war because I had to. Because the Warmonger demanded it. I destroyed lives, armies, nations purely for their entertainment. I want to say that I had no choice. That they threatened me with oblivion and worse if I refused. But that was still a choice. And I took the path of bloodshed instead of pulling the trigger of the gun pressed to my head. All in the desperate hope that eventually I would be in control. That I could come back to fix my mistakes and the worlds I ruined along the way.
I was wrong.

>New!Chain

I use Shield and Reflect style spells quite often when the need arises. It was actually a lot of fun to spring those on other Champions during my time in League of Legends. Nobody even thought it was particularly odd, seeing as I was a Tank/Mage. They're quite useful and I find a lot of opponents tend not to think defensively.

Most of my other buffing spells get less use because they're from Oblivion and tend to eat up more mana for the buck. Except for one I picked up in Ragnarok Online called Marionette Control. It's an odd spell, but useful in a pinch. It allows me to drain my own "stats" and add them directly to someone else. Of course, it leaved me weakened in the process, but you should see the kind of damage Poppy can do when she no only has her own physical strength, but half of my magical power as well.

The girl takes to destructive magic like a fish to water. I'd be worried if she wasn't on my side.
>>
>>55179330
I make heavy use of buffs and debuffs. One of my themes is "the most annoying possible guy to fight", so I've got a lot of automatic spells that debuff anyone I'm in a conflict with. Sensory deprivation, physical weakness, tools breaking down, counter-magic, spontaneous changes in local friction or gravity, psychological torment, increased flammability of bodily fluids, terrible luck, being haunted by ghosts...if you actually get close enough to hit me I've done something very wrong. Buffs are in a similar situation, I make a habit of enhancing anyone working with me. Increased durability and healing, intelligence augmentation, mystical power boosts, good luck, all sorts of nice things. Never fight fair, give your enemies every possible problem and your allies every possible advantage.
>>
>>55179330
Plenty of characters capable of resurrecting, healing, and other nonsense. Not many that can recover from being blinded, slowed, having weaknesses increases on them, so on and so forth.

If I use first magic to make something, like say I use it to make a sword, but I cast it using an overcharged spell using abyss of magic from overlord and dump flat out incandescent mass fuck you amounts of mana into the spell could I make what amounts to a high level NP sword? Or like what happens here (other than autism and fanwank)?
>>
>>55178371
I have not really gone to any real wars in my current chain. I was technically present for a battle one time in redwall (Damn vermin trying to ruin my vacation). But well... the last time a Student of Cain went up against tens of thousands of dudes with swords it involved a donkeys jawbone.
>>
>>55179497
I doubt it. The First Magic is anentropic, the amount of energy it consumes doesn't determine the results. So overloading a spell based on it shouldn't actually do anything different than normal. If you wanted to make a powerful sword you'd just direct it to make a powerful sword.
>>
>>55179497
The First Magic can make anything that could exist, with or without Abyss of Magic. IMO Wishcraft from the Fate Kaleid jump is better for the First Magic, assuming you accumulate enough magic energy.
>>
>>55179526
So I am better off going through this with wish magic then I suppose. Thanks.
>>
>>55179530
Thanks as well.
>>
>>55179330
I make heavy use of the D&D Contingency spell. It's not only useful, it can also be used for fun and entertainment.

>evil wizard summons demon
>contingency activates: audible glamour is cast
>every time the demon moves or does anything, it's set to comedy fat guy tuba music
>>
For Resident Evil, would Mold count as a parasite or something else?
>>
>>55179497
I would expect that if anything rather than a higher quality sword, you would get more swords.
>>
>>55179560
Yeah, but you have to carry around a bunch of little carvings of yourself made of ivory, if you're using Contingency. Sounds kind of annoying to deal with, even if you've got extradimensional storage space.
>>
>>55179573
It would be a parasite, yes. There are plenty of fungal parasites. Horrifying, horrifying fungal parasites.
>>
>>55179605
Alright, thank you. This makes formatting easier.
>>
>>55172214
Er, not really? I mean more that you have an actual store of it inside you. It doesn't need to be something that can never be depleted but it does have to be something that you naturally store within you and isn't just momentarily produced by your actions. If you had a technique that let you make a tiny bit of magical antimatter and then throw it at someone, that wouldn't work, because you're just making it instantly and using it, you're not storing it like you would naturally store chakra or mana.

If someone sealed it away, you wouldn't be able to generate the knight arm. If you already had the knight arm out, it'd depend on what exactly they did. If they just sealed any expression of that energy, the knight arm disappears. If they just stopped your ability to generate it, the knight arm would stay since it's already generated.

>>55172943
Kinda just sounds like GoB to me.

>>55173025
No, he'd just summon them back. Though if he hates you enough he might just leave them/prevent their use without taking them back. They'd disappear if you tried to leave without him, unless you had a method of transferring the connection they have to him to you.

>>55173215

Sure, but it would still be annoying. You've got all this space you could be using for other things filled up with statues. A statue for every single casting of the spell, they only work once each between castings of Contingency (and actually, by RAW, you can only have one Contingency at a time, but let's assume they've fixed that problem with some metamagic). Your inventory would be full of the damn things.

one of the main themes of my jumper was being a bard so she is all about the buffs and debuffs. It can be brutally effective too. Sitting back and powering up 8 highly skilled companions can be brutally effective, especially if you add summons and they add summons of their own. Soon you have an army.

More than gone it was me being pulled into one? In generic isekai a monster lord felt me a threat to their life and after assassination attempts pittered out they brought an army forward. In Macross the Vajra just rolled up and started wrecking my concert. In FFTA there were multiple clan wars but I just sat at the side and played dramatically (in)appropriate music for bgm purposes. The only time I went to war of my own accord was Beelzebub where I rolled Hell and waged a one slime war against nature trying to find the exit.
>>
>>55179330
Let me preface this by saying:

Infinity is dumb. Infinity is so fucking dumb, and I'm an asshole for using it and it's just dumb. Completely and utterly dumb.

With that out of the way, I have every jumpchain-available RPG and similar system's list of Buffs running simultaneously, with a thin veneer of an anti-anti-magic shell on top in the event of some smarmy motherfucker trying to run an anti-magic cleanse. A lot of it stacks, a lot of it's just redundancies, but it's all on all the time. Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, Persona*, SMT*, Soul Hackers*, MtG, Cardfight! Vanguard, World of Warcraft, Aion, Elona, Bravely Default, Erfworld, Dragon Age, Gothic, all the Final Fantasies, Warhams, Dragon's Crown, all the Fire Emblems, Etrian Odyssey, Overlord, Log Horizon, the various magic-applicable World of Darkness stuff, Arcanum, various applicable Exalted shit from Sorceries-

Like I said.

Dumb.

*assuming these count as magic. I think they do, but there's always the argument otherwise given Megaten's weird bullshit.

>>55179712
Yeah, true, but Jumpers collect some pretty crazy things anyways. Still, you could always create your own version of Contingency that allows you to have more than one on at a time and discards the focus. It might end up as an epic spell, but if you're using contingencies to follow enemy demons around with a tuba, you've got more magic than sense. And I approve.
>>
>>55179766
Infinity+ gradation air, make so many swords, trace so many nps.
>>
>>55179779
I'd really suggest otherwise but it's a valid use, just that it'd be super expensive compared to getting the NP version since unlike the NP, where you just activated it once and keep it open as long as you want, the RM would require you to activate it partially for every single use.

Did you actually read any further? They had Scranton technology and basically had the most advanced technology ever shown on Earth. It outright says they had dominion over basically everything. The only people they're said to have had war with who they didn't immediately fuck were the Bigfoots and their biotech empire, who they just decide to ignore after a certain point. Yes, their Emperor turns into what amounts to a Sarkic idiot, and yes, their modern descendents aren't relevant (Though they're still more advanced than anyone else except maybe the Foundation, who only beat them in some ways), but that doesn't take away from their civilizations relevance and advancement.

It's kinda weird that SCP completely ignores the Egyptians and Sumerians who got their civilization started somewhat earlier than the Chinese and the Harapans who did so not long afterwards. You'd think those people would be ranked similarly, but no.

Writing is still in progress, but this bit felt fitting to paste.

So the night ended with Berserker a bit weaker, but ultimately, we weren't on favorable ground of any kind. I was toying with the idea of possibly joining Shirou's eventual 'alliance' with Rin, on the logic that Berserker was a threat to all of us and three knight-class Servants working together, even temporarily would make us unstoppable. But that left the problem that unless we played dirty somehow or I actually killed Shirou and Rin, then we'd likely lose in a direct confrontation. No ifs, ands, or buts. And I was of the mindset that willing the War was the only way to survive. That's when I committed the ultimate, cardinal sin of my journey. The first of several times. The one thing I should never, ever do.

I asked myself: 'Could this possibly get any worse?'

For chain inspiration, there's a lot of Mother/Earthbound and Sonic music. I've really been enjoying the Sonic Mania soundtrack lately.
Although I'll also listen to soundtracks relevant to their own jumps. So, during Panty & Stocking, for instance, I listened to Fallen Angel a lot.

So I have a question about Personas. Are they actually people? or just projections of the Self like Stands?
>>
>>55180948
>projections of the Self
Sorta

>like Stands
Not at all
>>
>>55180948
They're personality-Projections that primarily work in mental landscapes, but with /jc/ mechanics can be projected into real world.

Not like Stands at all. Stands have unique abilities, Personas have spell-lists which you can find on the Megaten wiki.
>>
>>55180948
So, uh. Imagine heroic spirits.

Now imagine that reincarnation is like a blender. You are 1% king arthur, 2% merlin, 1% cleopatra, etc etc.

Except it's more like .001%. Anyways, you can sort of not really summon a HS based on whatever your highest amount is. Like, 12% count of monte cristo.

So yes they are actually people, yes they are projections of the self, and not really like stands. Well, they're semi-invisible punchghosts, but mechanics wise, not really like stands.

Just nitpicking here, but I know Persona 4 primarily used the whole "dungeons in your soul" thing, and I know nothing about 5, but Personas in 1 and 3 (explicitly the same world as 4) totally worked in the real world, and I'm pretty sure 2 did as well. /jc/ mechanics aren't really involved, other than the whole 'works in other worlds by fiat' thing.

Why exactly is it totally impossible for a family to only pay lip service to religion and be more concerned with their material lives in the past? Surely you have solid proof and citations of such a clear claim.
>>
>>55181649
>only pay lip service to religion and be more concerned with their material lives in the past?

Excommunication from villages and nomadic bands was a thing, anon.

Lip service retard. They do the bare minimum needed to be accepted and nothing more. Or just live on their own anyway with their own families that share their views.

Because social pressure, social environment, and lack of education. The world wasn't full of secret atheists until recently, anon.
>>
>>55181661
Sure, but such a thing would require others know that you're only paying lip service.
>>

>>55181647

It's because nobody likes Islam.
>>
The fuck? Is it even possible for jumper to be religious? Each setting has a different set of creation deities, after all...

And in DxD, God is literally dead.
>>
>>55181699
Or, and you'll have to listen closely because I know you'll struggle with the idea, he just doesn't get introduced to religion or get into actually believing it as opposed to their own views. Someone who grew up in a family separated from the others and the family didn't care or was too busy to teach them much about religion, so they grew up not finding it important.

People don't have to be atheist to not care about religion past where it benefits them/they need to for the approval of those around them. You can just not give a shit compared to your own wants and needs.

How many times do you have to keep being told that you can disagree with your backgrounds? Even if you were muslim, for fuck's sake the default format is you have 3+ decades' of memories (Pokemon, Infamous and PMD for the thick of thinking) to fall back.

You're basically complaining on behalf of a native Jumper you made up in your head.

>>55181731
You're the only one touting that culture as a problem at all. Why aren't you complaining about the Way of White, or Shub-Niggurath's cults, or the Ring of Gaea?

You know, religions that CANONICALLY are risking the destruction of reality?

You're a retard. Actually mentally damaged. You're mentally damaged to the point you can only see the world as being either 'SUPER RELIGIOUS" or "UBER ATHEIST" and nothing in between.

In Dark Souls the majority of undead believe in they need to set themselves on fire for the good of Gwyn's legacy, with the only exceptions being creepy fringe weirdos. By your logic that means everyone who went to Dark Souls died there.

Also, the Imperial Creed, Greek Mythology and Viking Saga.
>>
>>55181783
>When did hardcore christianity become so popular on 4chins anyway?

Irony, hipsters, and memes.
>>
>>55181763
To be fair, those groups usually aren't big enough that a Jumper would be born into them unless they choose to be. I mean, if you're born into, I don't know, Medieval Europe, you'd probably be a Christian, but even if you were born into SMT Japan, you're probably not going to be born into the Ring of Gaea.

Oh, but they ARE you dense moron. By your logic, at least. If we're going to talk about using regional statistics, it's impossible for you not to be Buddhist in Journey to the West's setting because people just KNOW Buddha exists. He's the guy who stuffed Sun Wukong under a mountain. The Celestial Bureaucracy's a place tangible enough for Sun to go and beat up.

Likewise, Touhou takes place in a region of Japan terrorised by mythological beings, where the nearest human settlement depends on a SHRINE MAIDEN to protect them.

Now who's underinformed and grasping at straws?

>>
>>55181840
>Now who's underinformed and grasping at straws?
Pretty much everyone here.
>>
>>55181810
Well, it depends. SMT does have a background based on the Chaos Hero, who did join the Ring of Gaea, so you do have a point there. However, you have to keep in mind that he turned into the kind of person who would join them over time, and probably wouldn't have ended up siding with them had it not been for him fusing with a demon for more power. So, yes, technically that background COULD, with time, start you on a path that might lead to wanting to join them, but at the start of it, Chaos Hero had exactly zero interest in the Ring of Gaea and what they preached.

As for Shub-Nigurath's cults and the Way of White, as far as I remember you have to actually chose specific backgrounds to be part of them before a jump starts, and in those cases you chose those backgrounds so you could be a part of them in the first place. Plus, at least with cultist, you could choose to be part of some other kind of cult, or just say that you really didn't believe and just went along with it.
>>
>>55181817
Oh, and don't think I didn't overlook the fact that you kept nitpicking when I asked exactly why being Muslim's even a problem relative to OTHER religions "forced" on you.

>By your logic, at least.
What is my logic? You'll have to excuse me, for not knowing how you think I think, only how I actually do think.

In Journey to the West, nothing is placing you in the Buddhist religion. Knowing Buddha exists because he does isn't the same thing as worshiping him. Remember that you can be like Son or Piggy.

In Touhou, you can be a youkai, and youkais existing doesn't mean you worship the shinto gods. They merely exist. Most of the girls in the setting aren't even remotely religious.
>>
>>55181871
Which still leaves Buddhism in Journey to the West. Or hell, every Xianxia setting has that weird riff of Chinese folklore religion mashup with Buddhism as a basic part of daily life. Pretty sure it's the principle behind many cultivating methods; Nuywa's straight up a character in Desolate Era. As well as that Thunderbolt Fantasy jump Heavens made recently.

>>55182223
Generally, folks just post a build and a brief snippet of what they do in the jump. Some folks like me and Yorokonde go full on writefaggotry with it, while others just keep their chains to themselves.

It's a single player game, so do what feels right or what you ultimately have fun with - whether it's making intricate combos through various settings or making a gigantic epic about the Jumper.

> What did you actually DO in Bride Stories?
Embroidery.

I spent fortunes on carpets and drapes and blankets and kerchiefs, not because I wanted those things, but because I wanted to study the patterns. I spent hours and hours and hours practicing my sewing. I didn't sleep. I must embroidery.

The Russians attempted to invade a few times, and I fucking slaughtered them, mostly out of indignation for their interruption of my embroidering, and then I stole their fabrics for materials. While it was unusual for a woman to take such an active role in combat, as a foreigner I was deemed to be of some weird alternate culture and therefore harmless. Also, I slaughtered like five hundred people using only a pair of swords and lots of spinning, so everyone was pretty polite to me after that.

I traveled all across the country searching for new patterns and materials, while also making pit stops to partake in cuisine and especially spices. Spices are neat. Did you know that in olden times, before trade was globalized, spices were considered a sign of wealth? The more spices, the more wealthy. So, I collected a lot of those, but it was secondary to my quest for embroidery. I must practice embroidery. My sewing skill jumped up like six hundred levels that jump! Isn't that cool?! I must embroidery!

Also, I used the free import system to make Malefor my little brother and then used bioengineering to make him a permanent little trap boy. He hated it.

...
EMBROIDERY.

After the voice discussed its 'business proposal', I blacked out, shortly opening my eyes and finding myself slightly shorter, more toned in body, and on the side of a dirt road through a small wood. Before I could fully take stock of my situation, I heard a pained scream in my head. My attention was drawn toward a large reptile repeatedly dashing into and taking jabs at what appeared to be a floating sword. The 'noise' in question seemed to come from the sword. I approached the scene, when it hit me - these are Pokemon. Noticing my lack of any Pokemon, I did the first thing I could think of and charged the Kecleon, attempting to save the injured Honedge - and possibly catch it. The Honedge, which seemed surprised that I found it, backed up as the Kecleon dove at me with a Feint Attack. Tapping the Honedge with a Pokeball so I could heal it and fight back, I took the blow surprisingly well; I was probably bruised, but nothing serious. Spraying the ghostly sword with my first Potion, I then gave it a command to Fury Cutter, using my own body to shield it from the reptile's attacks. After a couple hits against Kecleon, our opponent started to show signs of fatigue - good thing, too, as the attacks were starting to take their toll on me. Tossing a Pokeball at the Kecleon, I capture it as well. Slogging out to the path, I ask a Trainer where the nearest Pokemon Center is, and, after a surprisingly successful first trainer battle, I'm pointed to a nearby town - Camphrier. Over the next year or so, I make a name for myself as an archaeologist - with my Aegislash, Kecleon, and soon-captured Ninjask and Shedinja by my side, I sought to learn what I could about the legends of the world, and investigate them hands on.

There's plenty to make a Boondocks jump with, it just wouldn't be a high power jump, and would probably be forgotten in a week.

But, shit, Grandad has all his crazy Indiana Jones moves, Huey's technical abilities, Ruckus's ability to hold down multiple jobs despite being extremely unlikeable, you could probably make some perks based off of Mr Onceler, his sons, Thugnifficent, maybe buy a yandere Siri from the items section, a Stinkmeiner drawback... it just depends on how deep into the series you're willing to go.

Well, barring that, you could probably hit it up in Sitcom Jump. Aside from a very few episodes, it's a mostly normal world.

>>
>>55182887
You'd probably want to fit them into generalized roles or personalities instead of basing entire trees off of characters.

So anything to do with Riley or Thugnifficent, or even Onceler's sons, could all be curled into a catch-all "hood rat" or "poser" background. Tom and Mr Onceler themselves would make for the affluent types working within the system. Huey could share his spot with that MIB guy who was following him that one episode, or that crazy martial arts chick.
Not sure what Grandpa would be paired up with, if anyone. Maybe some perks based off Stinkmeiner, or the failed facebooking he tried, or maybe go the other direction and emphasize his attempts to make it big and live the high life, which he shares to some extent with Riley. There's definitely some things to figure out about how it'll all fit together, though.

The years go by, and on my tenth year in the world, I spend all of my savings on resources (mostly Ultra Balls and healing items), and board a boat to Sinnoh. Climbing Mt. Coronet, Aegislash fights through the hordes of enemies, until I reach my destination - the Spear Pillar. Arranging the tablets I found throughout my journeys, I began playing a melody they seemed to convey on a flute that one of my colleagues had given me. Sure enough, the melody worked, and a heavenly stairway emerged. Just as I was to ascend it, I noticed the world around me starting to flicker. The tenth year was almost up. I had to do this quickly. Kecleon was first to face Arceus, and fell quickly, barely scratching the so-called demiurge. Shedinja weakened Arceus with a Will-o-Wisp, and seeing as the Wonder Guard was blocking all of its attacks, I knew what I had to do. I started chucking every ball I had at it, pelting this god in a metallic rain of capsules. The world slowly fading from me, I had to only hope the last ball captured it.

In the dreamlike limbo between worlds, I saw a fifth ball strapped to my belt, and I smiled a smile of relief. As my vision fades to black, I wake up in a sterile military barracks, with space out my window.

Actually yeah, the aliens under control of the Elders are all basically slaves. You'd probably be doing everyone, those aliens included, a huge service if you offed their leaders.

By my own admission, I only sided with ADVENT because X-Com is extremely anti-alien, to the point of "shoot on sight in all circumstances fuck you" levels. However, the leadership of ADVENT is hardly xeno-friendly themselves. Rather, they look at all alien species as more of a resource to be controlled.

As >>55183390 says, Vipers are pretty indoctrinated and otherwise feral on top of that, although if Thin Men are any indication they're probably still possibly of some level of intelligence? You might need to give them some help to prevent them from just degenerating as soon as they're "free" though.
Also, if you're really into that kind of thing, they're apparently EXPLOSIVE breeders, to the point that the Elders purposefully got rid of all their males just so they could control their population. So, y'know. Have fun with that.

That's what the main goal of getting "Growing Together" for everyone was. If they waifu'd each other, they waifu'd each other.

Also, you honestly think that a household would air out ALL of their relationships and the such to outsiders? Dude.

I'm far more insulted over the insinuation that our private lives would be aired to other people in the setting than I am over the subtle dig you did there.

Would you be able to sacrifice a companion (assuming no eternal death, but probably a painful one) to save yourself and the rest of the party in a situation with no other way out?

Yes. Otherwise? No.
>>

Situations like that are the rare occasion where I break the rules and nuke everything. My companions are family, and family is sacred. I'd sooner burn worlds. Even if their death is temporary.

>>

I think that was the plot of the first few Castlevania games.
>>
>>55178371
They started it, and I finished it.

The almighty Iga and Koga tried to use my fiance and her family to try to kill me. They failed, so I crushed them all, without mercy, without pity.

Who knew that trying to kill a noble who descended from shinobi stock would have been so difficult?
>>
>>55184339
Really when you get right down to it that is the plot of a lot of things.
>>
>>55184398
Okay, but for safety's sake I think we need to run through some follow-up questions:
1. Have you ever made a pact with primordial evil for power?
2. When you kidnap someone's women, do they attack with enchanted BDSM Gear while wearing a leather skirt?
3. Are any of your life partners Death?
4. Do you steal men's souls and make them your slave?
5. Do you have a dark and spooky castle?
5a. Is that castle built like a maze?
5b. Do you chill at the top of your castle while some dickweed breaks all your stuff trying to find you?
6. Has your son ever gotten a group of his friends to try to murder you?
7. If you reincarnate, will it be into a white-haired Japanese boy?

If you said yes to 2 or more things above, ask your dentist if you're a Dracula.
>>
>>55184450
>ask your dentist if you're a Dracula
that's pretty funny

What musical jumps do we have? I know the Disney jumps, Heathers, Steven Universe, and I can squint enough for Elite Beat Agents to work. Jumps where you're just a musician or just with music perks aren't what I'm looking for, just to cut off that avenue of suggestion.
>>
>>55178371
It's usually for revenge or glory and the desire for revenge/glory is usually one that comes out of background memories.

Or because I get attacked.
>>
>>55184073
You misunderstand. When a late game jumper stops holding back, the planet they're standing on becomes expendable. Good luck actually killing said jumper.

Now, prior to that point? If there was no option but to sacrifice a companion so more companions didn't die, then that would happen. After all, death is a very temporary state of being for basically everyone who is not a jumper, once you've learned to raise the dead.

Papa Bones would probably dominate most of the competition even if you don't give him extra abilities of a servant. He has pretty decent physical abilities on his own, maybe not to stop a berseker, but could probably hold his own against a knight class to escape.

He is versatile enough for his enemies to never know what spell is he going to pull out, and he can spam minions that far stronger than him (at least in the physical department) if pressed enough. Or just to shield him. Also, he has a lot of instant-death abilities. Even if the servants have high-luck stats and do not die from them, they are going to receive debuffs, stunts or other penalties when facing him. Oh, and he has timestop.

That's base Ainz. Spent 1500 SP on him and he will be unstoppable. I would go with a Lancer class, to boost his speed and strength. Give him HSDW and Rune magic A as personal skills, and maybe territory creation.
>>
>>55184931
He'd most fittingly be a caster, but he would end up whatever you import him as. As to beating Gil, that depends on a lot, such as whether or not Gil has anything that prevents timestops/instant death effects and how high Ainz's immunity to low tier attacks is. Gil has stuff that can hurt him, but it'd be an issue of using some of his better stuff which he generally doesn't like to do except against worthy foes, and by that point it would be best to have killed him already

The single biggest problem that writefags have with JumpChain is the overpowered protags. Too much CP, too much OP shit to spend it on. It basically gives them carte blanche to make a Mary Sue.
>>
>>55185102
>basically gives them carte blanche to make a Mary Sue.

>>55185102

>>55185114

>>
>>55185102
>Jumpchain
>mary sue
Anon. My sweet little anon. Have you forgotten where you are? This is jumpchain a general self insert mass cross over fest where each jump gives you powers. You need to heavily think before you post this next time.

The very second you started the chain. Hell the very second you showed interest in this thread as a concept. You have become Mary sue writer of shitty fanfics. Conceptual or otherwise.
>>
>>55185135
Ok then? Go to only low powet jumps or if you have a bunch of op powers hit really high power jumps with no power drawbacks, or carry a drawback, or carry a couple drawbacks like being born as a baby and needing to relearn powers, or try being a side character. Do something different.

Or dont take op stuff if you dont like it.
>>
>>55184988
Vs Battles is to fictional franchises as Ursine is to Jumpchain.
>>
>>55185102
Being hilariously OP is kind of the point of jumpchain.
If you have a problem with that then jumpchain simply isn't for you, because there's no changing it.
Anything comprehensive enough would make it no longer jumpchain.
You're better off starting from scratch instead of trying to make jumpchain into what you're looking for.
>>
>>55185162
A source of warmth, comfort and hugs?
>>
>>55185174
I don't know... I've never read much about his exploits as he Jumps
>>
>>55185155
That's exactly what I'm doing, but I'm hitting a brick wall because everyone seems to cater to the min/maxers.
My current plan is to just limit my CP spending, spend CP inefficiently, and make it so that my jumper doesn't have control over what he gets.
>>
>>55185186
Then why dont you, only you, do every jump with zero cp unless drawbacks are taken instead of trying to force that on others? Seems simple enough to me.
>>
>>55185186
Maybe jumper keeps memories and mundane skills, but doesn't otherwise carry things between jumps? That way, while you can still make use of experiences and metaknowledge, you mostly have to rely on what the jump gives you.
>>
>>55185197
I'm not "forcing" anyone to do anything. I'm making the point that an OP protagonist *in a story* is a horrible thing. It removes conflict, and conflict is the soul of drama.
>>
>>55185207
Well then go somewhere else if you don't like jumpchain. You aren't saying anything new, buddy, not after the better part of two thousand threads.
>>
>>55185186
Well, that's just a result of the nature of jumpchain.

The standard is that each jump should give you enough to survive if you take it as your first jump, so that means that in your second jump you'll have enough to survive PLUS whatever you got in the first jump. In your third jump, you'll have enough to survive PLUS what you got from the other two. Unless you escalate like mad, you'll be crazy overpowered within a few decades.

I think jumps gives you too much power. I believe that a jump should give you enough that you're not dead weight and can contribute, but not enough to solve everything by yourself. Sometimes it seems like jumps err more towards the latter.
>>
>>55185186
>>55185234
You do realise that there is something alfrady made that would suit your preferences. It's call You'll Never Be the Jumper. Perhaps someone will be kind enough to post a copy.
>>
>>55185206
Good thinking, Anon. I might try that. I'll still have to avoid really OP options, but this might just work.
The problem is that some jumps (like Sword Art Online) are based on the fact that you carry everything between jumps, but I think I can just avoid those.
Maybe this will be the new hardcore challenge. Like an Iron Man playthrough of a video game.
>>
>>55185167
