Since my post got swallowed up in 5e general, and I'm a bit of an ass while also thinking that this could start a little conversation, I'm repostan.
I've been putting my players through a lot, so at the end of this adventure they'll find a fully stocked airship locked deep in a secretive vault. I want to go all out, so I've loaded it up with the obvious supplies (food, rope, ammo for the ballistae) and a couple other things (potions of healing and feather falling, two figurines that transform into rideable giant eagles). The ship includes quarters to sleep twenty, a cantina lounge, a somewhat luxurious captain's quarters, and a room with a teleportation circle.
But I think I could do even more. Cargo or otherwise, what are some cool things that you'd want to find in your brand new airship?

I need dimensions for this airship. How long is it? How wide? How tall? How much labor is saved by magic or machinery? What is it's operational ceiling? Max speed with a backwind? Does it require fuel? If so, at what rate? How dense is the fuel? Is it solid, liquid, or gas? Does beyond line of sight communication exist in the setting? How, by magic or technology? Does it ever traverse a vacuum or otherwise hostile space, like an alternate plane of reality?

Like, 120 ft long, 30 ft wide? Or something

Have you considered looking at modern vessels for inspiration?
Also, would this vessel have pocket dimensions inside it?

An enormous button labeled 'do not press' that transforms the airship into a huge golem
Maybe one or two personal, tiny airboats that can function as lifeboats or scouts

I'd personally want some manner of crafting or refining stations. Something as simple as a handwaved workshop would do, but giving us a coherent reason to take our airship out and acquire things we didn't previously have a use for sounds better.
Steampunk robots or golems are always nice. Also being a catgirl maid optional
Ominous logs or maps referring to terrible, terrible things one might be able to reach in an airship would be solid gold bait for me, dunno about your party.

Basic d&d setting essentially, no fuel required. Stayed aloft via a captured air elemental and is propelled by a captured fire elemental.

This idea is 135% too rad
