Need Help Challenging My Players

Before explaining the situation, I would like to clarify that this was something my players asked for. A couple of weeks ago, we had just wrapped up our previous dark heresy campaign, and as we were packing up our books, the group came to me and asked me if I could ramp up the difficulty. So we arranged to meet up the next day to discuss what kind of adventure everyone wanted. So we met up, and they begin laying out requests. (In our group, the agreement is that the players get to choose the basic details of the game like setting and difficulty levels.) The asked for the following:

1. Tomb of Horrors tier lethality at least.
2. A player driven, sandbox style adventure
3. As much variety as possible in terms of enemies

So yeah, my players are either insane, suffer from suicidal overconfident, or are masochists. In a week we are going to meet up again to play, and I would like /tg/s opinion on the adventure I made. Did I go overboard? They just sent me their character summaries a few days ago, and their group is composed of the following.

Sanctioned Psyker
Adept
Guardsman 1
Guardsman 2
Techpriest
Cleric

Here is the outline so far:

PCs arrive at Hive Planet, ruled by a group of Noble Houses (at least two of the noble houses are secretly agents of the Slaugth (those maggot-swarm xenos who eat brains and have scary tech). The heads of both of these two houses were both given Halo Devices by the Slaugth as rewards for their continued loyalty. These two noble houses are planning on killing the other houses and feeding all of the poor people to the Slaugth. Additionally, in the underhive, the local redemptionists have declared all-out war against the rest of the hive for being “heretics, mutants, and blasphemers” (which is basically standard behavior for redemptionists anyway). There is currently a five way war in the underhive between the redemptionists, a different redemptionist group that pissed the other off for some reason, the arbites, a chaos cult (who’s leader is an extremely powerful Rogue Psyker) and a coven of deranged hereteks. There is a small Slaugth army in the deepest part of the sewers, waiting for the signal from the traitor nobles to attack. A week after the PCs arrive on the planet, a warpstorm engulfs the entire sector, with most of the planets essentially turning into daemon-worlds. A couple of Rak’Gol warbands who are trapped in the system by the warp storm become devotees of Khorne and begin massacring isolated settlements on the edge of the system, A small CSM warband appears from one of the newly formed warp rifts and begins concerted attack on the planetary capital, If not dealt with previously, the coven of hereteks and the chaos cultists join forces to wipe out the redemptionists, while the Slaugth begin setting up colonies in the deepest parts of the underhive, abducting entire hab-blocks worth of people and eat their brains. Also, I am seriously tempted to have the the Inquisitorial Stormtrooper squad that is escorting them turn out to be Lacrymoles.

D-do your players not understand how lethal DH actually is? Take the kiddie gloves off and fist fuck them with some amped up daemon hosts or booby traps set with Promethium Meltabombs.

Have them run into one of the last Lamenter Marines and have their cataclysmic bad luck rub off onto the group, then just fuck with their rolls- IE have them roll- just grab one die at random and make them run with what remains, but let them use fate points to get em back (As whatever it rolled- no do overs). But do not make this a super common thing- just spread out the shit-luck everywhere- nothing wants to work, the universe itself conspires to fuck them at every turn.

Im a big fan of the mostico type of challenge. While im not a 40k guy I can give you some nonlore stuff.

They can't rest, the badguys can deal much damage to the players at all, but your target is to drain their fatepoints(you got that in dh right) hp, ammo by one level each time. Put stress on the psyker, how well can she deal with the warp when shes been up for 48 hours.

So they just had a tough fight, a good fight. Something that they feel good about. They go to get something to eat
Then bikers turn up. These guys are tougher then a normal human, but not by much. They kick up a fuss in the dinner and hassle the players.
They may need to go and get some more ammo from their ship or a shop. But there is now a blockage stopping ship to ship travel or the shop is set on fire before they get there or while they are in it.
Next they have a fight that is almost the same as the tough fight. But now they are much weaker.
Then more bikers turn up. Maybe they are Khornate and pissed about losing their small boys.

How about some sort of poison that drains stat points. Break there best items. No warp staff for example. Its better to give it to them at the start then take it away. They can only get shitty guns that jam all the time.
Injectors are a thing right? How about the drugs they pick up to fuel them are low potency or just sugar water. Think if they try and use a healing potion and it only heals 2hp or none at all. makes it better if its in the middle of combat.

While I hate RFPD , roll to not die type traps. They ASKED for them . Look at the darksouls type games....

Hallways with a minigun and no cover.
A guy hiding in a box that pops out and stabs them.

In combat go for one person. Dont mix targets. maybe when the first bikers get killed that one biker who wasn't even that groups learder gets killed by guard1 . Now everyone gos for the guard 1 because he was the overall leaders boytoy/brother/best buddy.
They fuck with guard 1 as much as they can. He gets flagged up in places where they need to travel. Hes not let into clubs and bars and while hes outside alone he is jumpped.
They go to buy stuff and oh guards 1 stuff is not in stock. That ammo type hasn't turned up.
No we cant upgrade that. Ect.
