I'm going to give it benefit of the doubt - a lot of tables don't describe combat beyond "I attack" or "I shoot", especially in the systems where you do it every single turn of every single combat. Besides that, would you indulge a player you assume to be a Punisher-cosplaying edglerod with descriptions of blood and core you think he craves?
