So I've only just noticed this utter bull that GW has pulled regarding support armies. Now, if you substitute an Imperial unit into a space marine list, you void your chapter tactics. Now thats all fine and dandy but, this means if you want to bring an assassin you have to pay a command point just to bring it (auxilliary support detachment) Am I the only one who is completely enraged by this obvious oversight?
No, pretty sure that was the point.

But why? Why must I pay a whole CP just to bring a unit that usually doesn't do shit?

It doesnt do shit because you're probably shit at using it.
You're wanting to take a unit in your detachment that isn't normally part of the army you're using. So, you pay the point for an auxiliary.
Otherwise, players would just take every good unit and have every codec bonus they can fit. In this case, imperium
Just take a small detatchment with whatever extra imperium units you want and it will gain you a cp instead

Do I get the three CP for being battleforged for each detachment I have or is it not stackable?

The most recent cheese list was a shit ton of assassins with Guilliman, Celestine, and a bunch of other good HQs hiding behind them. The only non-HQ/Assassin units in the army was like 5 SoB.

Easy fix is just what they last edition which is only one assassin per list, which makes sense, not tax players to use them.

It's just a one off for being battle forged.

18 Assassins FOXHOUND is a hilarious list. No nerfy.

Why are we still here? Just to Seize the Initiative?
