I always wondered what happened to countries conquered by rape tyrants. Do they just crumble eventually? Does it actually become a proper nation given time? Does it become a Balkanized hell hole as displaced soldiers and adventurers drop by to snatch what they can or engage in Medieval Xcom guerrilla warfare?

I love the idea of soldiers carrying off dead orcs/tentacle monsters/demons for dissection and more efficient counter measures.
