Standard ordnance used in 40K space battles don't work like that either. Neither standard nor 2-Stange Cyclonics are used in space battles, as they rely on a planet's own materials to function. Standard Cyclonics start a chain reaction that burns up a planet's atmosphere, whereas 2-Stage Cyclonics burrow into the planet and cause its core to destabilize. Neither one actually can actually just hit a planet and blow it up.

The only planet-cracking weapon that exists on a known human ship in 40K is the main gun on Abaddon's flagship during the Gothic War.

Note that the power to destroy Warp presences doesn't translate into the power to destroy physical stuff. The Emperor has never really shown any great destructive power in the physical world. I'm sure he has a lot of it, but all these claims that he can set up shield that block supernovas and blow up planets with his mind are completely unfounded.

Superman on the other hand has in canon moved infinitely heavy objects. Which means no barrier the Emperor makes is going to withstand him. He's pretty much limitless and powerlevel threads involving him are pointless unless you match him against other limitless characters.

Supes has problems with telepathy as seen in superman vs the elite.

The emperor on the other hand is above a alpha plus psyker. In the lore alpha plus is described as having the ability to turn a man inside-out with a glance", "snap a Battle Titan in half with a flick of the wrist", and "a muttered syllable can turn an army upon itself in a frenzy of blood lust".

"A problem with telepathy" is really, really overstating it. Manchester is one of the DCU's strongest telepaths, and even he said it was like trying to break through concrete with his bare hands trying to get through Superman's mental protections.

Another anon mentioned Maxwell Lord earlier in this thread, but Lord was only able to get into Supe's head by systematically bypassing layer after layer of Superman's protections against mental manipulation over the course of weeks if not months.

Lets look at someone who has stood up to Superman before, Darkseid. He has at various points defeated superman with just omega beams. I have no doubt that if old emps were against Darkseid he'd win, and his psyker abilities and ability to you know.

Considering he powers all of the saints of the imperium (and all their abilities) and consumes souls of other lesser psykers like peanut butter I have no doubt that he could probably just kill him with a glance or just eat his soul.

Even by a metanarritive standpoint the flash is a pretty big deal. I was just pointing out that saying he's "only" the flash is pretty goofy. Dude's literally capable of molding his universe at any time of his choosing where as super man require specific circumstances more often than not. At any point in time any author can just flip the comic universe on its head and say that it's because the flash did it for some reason or another and it'd be credible. Lazy, but credible. My main point though was that the flash can also fuck things up in a fight in pretty short order.

The highest of the high end psychics in the DCU aren't quite that powerful (range really isn't anyone's strong suit in any comics), and most of the rest of the most powerful villains (because really, enthralling entire planets worth of people isn't exactly heroic) aren't psychic.

DC as a whole isn't too huge on psychic stuff - there are a fair number of psychics, but Marvel has a higher ratio of them and many of them are really powerful.

But that level? That's more like what some gods are possibly capable of, no mortal I can think of off the top of my head is quite that powerful on their own, and even among gods that's a pretty significant amount of power beyond many of them.

Psychic stuff is less powerful in the DC universe, though not by a whole lot since everything's already crazy powerful there, but it seems to me like the warp makes psychic powers stronger (and more dangerous) by its nature. Like if you brought a psychic from another universe over, they'd endanger themselves because they're lighting matches while unknowngly standing in a puddle of gasoline.

Darkseid ordinarily has the power to read the mind of any being, anywhere in the entire universe, instantly, and can see into other universes and beyond, even further than the Monitors who watch over all the worlds of the multiverse.
As for direct mind control, though, he's only ever seized the Earth, but it was absolute control over every action and thought of every human left alive on Earth at the time. We don't know how much more he could have seized if he weren't focused on Earth (due to its links between the universes), so it's hard to say how big he could have gone if he'd felt like mind controlling worlds that were no use to him. But his ultimate aim is to extinguish all free will everywhere, and replace everything with himself, so that nothing exists but Darkseid.

Considering Horus beat the shit out of a holding back Emperor, he could have easily canceled out any widespread attack on his important assets, or at least resisted it.
