My D&D group is looking for a change of pace and we're thinking of doing something like cyberpunk. Familiar with 3.5, PF, etc, but want to try something new. That Guy in my group is insisting GURPS can handle cyberpunk just fine, but he says that about every setting any time we start a campaign, and that doesn't make GURPS any easier to use for the rest of the party. So, no GURPS.
What's another option for a system in which I can run a cyberpunk campaign?

>want to try something new
>just not anything too new

As long as it's not GURPS I'm game, you got something in mind?

How about GURPS?

GURPS Cyberpunk is pretty good. There's even a Cyberpunk Adventures book.

The Sprawl is pretty great.
Savage Worlds with Interface Zero.
I think FATE also has an Interface Zero? If not, FATE with Atomic Robo can handle cyberpunk pretty well.
Cryptomancer is cyberpunk except fantasy, and has some great systems if your players are willing to go all-in on being creative with the tools they are given (this sounds like I'm being elitist or something, but goddamn I just want to kick back and play sometimes and not try to actually plan how to handle a non-Hollywood hacking heist down to the last detail).

Don't do cyberpunk if your group can't handle GURPS.
This is like saying that macrame was too complicated for you so you are going to try four needle knitting instead.

You might be able to make Stars Without Numbers work with a bit of tweaking, it's d20, and I believe has a Cyberpunk-esque sourcebook.

thanks! I'll check those out. The Sprawl in particular looks promising

Doesn't look like quite the right fit, but looks like a great game!
The Sprawl is a great pbta cyberpunk game that my group enjoyed a lot, but if you're looking for something a little more traditional Cyberpunk 2020 is my favorite 80s-90s system and has a rad setting to boot.
Cyberpunk 2027
Shadowrun is it's own beast and genre
