The problem with that statement is that apparently actual jump discussion is going on there. It isn't just a casual chat environment when commenting and critique is being carried out on jumps. It's definitely not when important things like Soft saying he's not going to take further critique or Dirge saying he's deleting his drive are happening on there. That doesn't sound low pressure at all.

The advantages are less then you're saying and there are already problems noted. People have noted other issues it causes in the past. It's not a question of not enough. It's a question of why is this here when it's doing more harm than good?

The great thing about the discord is that the bullshit you're alluding to doesn't happen in the first place, because it's not the thread.

It means that if you want to get in contact with someone you know, you have a reliable method of doing so that won't vanish over time, like /tg/ threads or IRC activity. It's a merit, plain and simple.

Fairly regularly. Merchant does most of the #newjump updates and lots of folks dump their builds into #builds in giant text blocks for discussion.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, yes jumps and jumpmakers should be prepared to answer questions about the jumps and take on board input form the thread; this is what has allowed us to have a higher quality than any of the other places that make jumps. It is not very long or very detailed and is bland and very empty feeling aside from pure mechanics. A lot of this stuff isn't hard. Not with a genre this popular nowadays. Not when you have people so passionate that even when being treated like shit by the author and other anons, they still try to offer him ideas for more drawbacks and perks. Using the two instances from canon for this. In DS1, Smough was able to gain Ornstein's command of lightning by killing him during your boss fight against them, imbuing all his attacks from there on with it.

In DS3, in your fight against the Nameless King, when you mostly kill his bird dragon companion, he puts it out of its misery and gains the ability to fly while also throwing out radically more lightning, apparently invigorating his own soul a great deal with the soul of his companion.

For Soul Collector, you are correct, things you kill will reward a Dark Souls type soul/'souls' in addition to whatever they might have, or giving it even if they're some soulless abomination like how demons normally lack a soul in most settings. Soul Collector doesn't overwrite a being's default soul, so if you want to let them pass on normally or harvest their normal soul using other means, those are also options.

Why would I bother? Someone else has done that already, you've shown your stance on it, and you obviously aren't going to change your opinion. Evident in this very thread and the last few ones, as instead of just answering legitimate questions, shutting down or adding suggestions, and explaining stuff people are confused about, you either answer 1-2 questions and go away without further notice, or just answer obvious shitposts (which you should already know will help noone) and ignor everyone else.
