"The Best" only leaves room for one winner. Obviously the one true best boobs size can only be the ones belonging to person you love.

You see, the heart is the best boob of all.

Hey guys, it's been pointed out to me that I screwed up the wording of Neo Jumper Key which led to a rather different interpretation of what to does compared to the game.

In Short it doesn't allow you to access the DNA Evolutions of Digimon Data stored in it, but rather allows you to design new digimon forms by mix-and-matching parts from them.

Ex: If you have Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon data in it you can't use it to digivolve into Omnimon. However, you CAN use them as components to design whole new forms for a variety of uses and specializations, munchkin them into the most OP combinations and arrangements you can come up with, or even design your own Not!Omnimon equivalent by adding the right digimon parts to the mix.

Change Log
>Corrected Neo Jumper Key so that it's wording better reflects its function in the game.

This should be the last correction to the PDF.

YOU FOOL! I BAITED YOU INTO A TRAP!
No citizen of the empire would ever know what the "Captain Planet" animation character looked like as all media from before the Great Crusade was deemed heretical during the Age of Strife. Only vague written formats exist for the public to warn them against the heretical filth, and the only film copy left belongs to the Inquisition and is in monochrome to prevent warp breaches!
>>
>>55102986
Not exactly power copying but a bluemage can learn all sorts of powers from other beings. Depending on what kind you are you could probably steal those unique powers from folks in bleach though they would probably cost a lot of mp to use.

Thank you anon. Val helped me pick him when someone mentioned a while back how ill fitting Crona was. I think Crona would have been more fitting a few years ago when I had a much darker disposition, but things changed. The trap jokes were/are funny as hell though.

I wouldn't want the old photos changed or anything even still though. I hate pink, but the fact that someone made these pics for/about(?) me, especially the ones referencing Val too, makes me treasure them so much.

you forgot sacrifical bestowment

also for genetics/DNA etc. based powers you can always use the animorphs/primal zerg (animorphs lets you copy somethings physiology just by looking at it (if it's DNA based, so no gods or something) + primal zerg lets you gain the strongest aspect of something whos essence you've absorbed i.e. their powers) so you can gain all different unique physiology based powers just by looking at people

very usefull for marvel mutants, sayans, kryptonians, Ben10 aliens....
lots of power right there to gain

Speaking of which, do we only get to use our xenomorph facehugger altform from AvP once or is it a restocking altform we can use to get lots of other altforms? This is important to me because I still need a bit less than 200 new altforms to have one for every day of the earth year and that could really help.

It's jumpable, but I still haven't found the right balance for the Manhattan's section. The problem is people seem to want the complete power list with just the origin instead of buying individual perks. I'm tempted to just go "fuck it" and have it that way with a 1200 CP origin and a +800 drawback limit, but I'll probably have to rebalance all the other perks.

The guy who was bitching about Nuclear Stockpile had a point. I think I'm just going to reduce it to a single nuke per Jump but without drawbacks. M.A.D. World will probably be upgraded to +300 CP, not sure if I'm gonna degrade another one or add more drawbacks.

As for the layout, I actually had an imaged version ready, but it was much too large for 4chan. I need to rework the design from the ground up.

All the discussion about Manhattan in New 52 is IMO irrelevant - it's not part of the original book, it overlaps with a universe we already have a Jump for, and it makes Manhattan even more stupidly overpowered for reasons that have little to do with Moore's original vision. If you want that kind of shenanigans, you can just go to the DC Jump.

>>55103340
I agree that this would probably the best way to do it.

Also, I feel like you should reword the M.A.D world drawback to actually give a Jumper a chance to survive it. As it is, it basically reads like "pray and hope that nukes don't start flying, 'cause you can't do shit about it, and you'll die if they do". Basically, you have no agency at all.

That's true, but that's usually the case in Jumps with 1)other attractive perks and 2)proportional danger. Watchmen is a very safe world if you're Manhattan.

>Basically, you have no agency at all.

you should become a god by continuos work and selective perks/powers over many jump

>That's true, but that's usually the case in Jumps with 1)other attractive perks and 2)proportional danger. Watchmen is a very safe world if you're Manhattan.
Well, I don't know about you, but I do like the other perks in the jump very much. And there are dozens of jumps where you can get powers on the level of Dr. Manhatten or above. In my opinion, making the origin cost 1200 CP like you suggested for the powers of Dr. Manhatten would be a fair trade. Perhaps with making that one 100 CP drawback that makes you disconnect from humanity mandatory with no points gained from it.

>Not the other guy, but that's a really gigantic disparity in power and versatility. The other people in Watchmen are street level and Dr. Manhattan is basically god. Doesn't that just seem weird to you?
Not really. That's how the story was written, and it is an integral part of it. You may not like it, but that doesn't mean a jumpmaker should ignore it when making a jump about Watchmen.

>>
>>55103762
Omnipotence, the literal definition, is not something that any character in fiction has ever reached, as far as I know. As such, "nigh-omnipotence" would have to be extremely skewed towards the word "nigh" to even count as such.
>>
>>55103690
>fuck with some people Mr. Mxyzptlk/Q stile?
Yes. Also, lots of vore.
>>
>>55103686
That seems to be more opinion than how Jumps in the past and even right now are treated. One Punch Man doesn't let you buy into being Saitama, Gravity Falls doens't let you buy into being Bill, Adventure Time doesn't let you buy into being The Lich or Prismo. Just because an absurdly powerful character exists in the story doesn't entitle you to buying into being them, because a Jump needs to be internally balanced.

What story or balance reason could there be to support that?
>>
>>55103814
Azathoth (Cthulhu Mythos) probably counts
>>
>>55103853
Nope. There was no indication, not even close to it, that he can affect ALL multiverses, meaning literally every fictional and nonfictional universe or setting, and beat everyone in those same universes with contemptuous ease. And that's just the very lowest base requirement to even qualify to try for the descriptor of "Omnipotent".
>>
>>55103853
No, he is not omnipotent as he isn't influencing other author's stories unless those author explicitly reference him. The same can be said about The One Above All in Marvel or the Primal Monitor in DC.

There can't be omnipotents in fiction.
>>
>>55103848
That's another option I considered: just not offering Manhattan's power at all and using fiat to signal you can't redo the experiment.
>>
>>55103848
>Adventure Time doesn't let you buy into being The Lich
Yes it does.
>>
>>55103848
Part of the problem is presumably the impression that the process that created Dr. Manhattan was much more mundane and (seemingly) repeatable and understandable than entities like Saitama, etc. He isn't really some transcendent superbeing, at least in terms of how he game to exist. He was a literal science experiment, and science is repeatable.

I am not in any way trying to argue that the above justifies making Manhattan's powerset purchaseable in the jump, to be clear. Just thinking about why people see Manhattan as more attainable than Saitama.
>>
>>55103848
>One Punch Man
Let's you be an S class hero, in both ability and official ranking. With a mere two Jumps, you can easily obtain that strength with minimal muchkinery.

>>55103893
Eh, I thought he was a necessity for existence reality in that Mythos
>>
>>55103898
That's the stupidest line of reasoning I've heard for showing a character isn't omnipotent. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you want too. If you have allmighty power, there's nothing stopping you from just fucking off.

>>55103907
I definitely missed that update.
>>
>>55103904
>That's another option I considered: just not offering Manhattan's power at all and using fiat to signal you can't redo the experiment.
Which would be extremely stupid. You can already get Manhatten level power in a variety of jumps. And the fiat ban is just flat out dumb. Really, if you want to actually represent the setting, you'd just offer the power for a just price, ie 1200 CP + a mandatory drawback.
>>
>>55103186
Nu, just curious: What could you do with a Lordvessel outside the Dark Souls world? For 300 CP I have to imagine it can do a lot more than soul storage, I just can't think of what.
>>
>>55103931
No, that's maximum munchkinry. Saitama is a meme character that wins because he wins. That's literally the entire point of the story, he's the strongest thing ever and never has a hard time with anything and is bored of it.
>>
>>55103931
The difference between an S Class Hero and Saitama is the difference between Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan, in terms of pure power.
>>
>>55103974

Going purely by physical feats, Saitama hasn't shown anything that a Jumper wouldn't be able to easily replicate. Sure, his role and purpose in the story means he defeats everything easily and in one punch, but that shouldn't be relevant for Jumpchain unless it is explicitly called out as such in the manga.
>>

The one in the Jump is going to have an additional power inspired by how it unlocks your ability to travel between bonfires in the games. Aside from just being able to store large quantities of souls or super powerful souls, it'll have some travel abilities relating to moving between flames. I'll have it worked out when I go to write it up.
>>
>>55103814
not that guy and i don't know much about the other characters mentioned, but alien X is fucking OP. His abilities pretty much read: omnipotence. I believe you can't become alien X in the Ben10 jump though.

>>
>>55104038
No. Omnipotence for me is the ability to affect EVERYTHING. Every multiverse, every setting, literally everything. Every "omnipotent" being whose abilities are confined to their own universe or multiverse should not be defined as such.

>>55104041

you can't become one with purchasing the omnitrix, but you can become an osmosian/lightbringer and easily absorb it's powers once Ben transforms into it (or you can just travel to the forge of creation yourself; i personally would just tag along with Ben until he gets there)

>>
>>55104205
He believes there isn't such a thing as omnipotent in fiction because none of those beings said to be omnipotent can affect our world or different settings.
>>
>>55104205
A multiverse contains infinite universes, and it's basically one "setting". Meaning Umineko has its own multiverse, as does Lovecraft, as do the various capeshit settings.
>>
Has something happened to the new uploads folder?
>>
>>55103954
So basically your only argument is actual interjump balance. "It's offered in these contexts so it must be balanced to offer in a jump otherwise completely focused on street level heroes".
>>
>>55104227
So in order to be omnipotent you have to be able to affect things that don't exist?
>>
>>55104236
Yes.
>>
>>55104241
No, my argument is that in order to properly reflect the setting, in which Dr. Manhatten plays an integral part, the jump should offer his powers.
>>
>>55104242
That's what I believe he is saying, yes. Unless a character exists in every setting, including our own world, and has absolute control in all of them, that they aren't omnipotent according to anon. It's dumb.
>>
>>55104227
>>55104242
Yep. If you are truly omnipotent, you can do anything. I don't think the human mind can truly grasp what this means.
>>
>>55104241
Wrong. His argument is in-jump balance. If things are supposed to be priced according to how valuable they are in the setting, then Dr. Manhattan's power has to be priced insanely high, because he many, many orders of magnitude stronger than anyone else in that universe.
>>
>>55104274
>That's what I believe he is saying, yes. Unless a character exists in every setting, including our own world, and has absolute control in all of them, that they aren't omnipotent according to anon. It's dumb.
I don't see you bring a better interpretation of omnipotence to the table. Don't talk shit if you can't do that.
>>
>>55104275
>>55104231
I think you've been hanging out in these threads a little too long, anon. That is not how cosmology works, at all. You are making up goalposts that do not make any sense in order to redefine a word in a way that no one else would agree with.

In short, this is dumb.
>>
>>55104297
Amazing argument anon. "u are stupid". I'm convinced.

Really, I don't give a fuck about how cosmology works. If a character is omnipotent, they should be able to affect all realities, even those which do not actually exist.
>>
>>55104293
Nah, the onus of not-being-stupid is on you, since you're the one insisting that true omnipotence requires the ability to, apparently, retroactively make fiction into non-fiction.
>>
>>55104293
Well, we could go with what people intend to convey when they say a word as the definition of the word, but that's just language and we're in pedantry territory now.
>>
>>55104293
A setting is self contained, nothing exists outside of it unless something within the story or setting information indicates that there is. If something has absolute power within its setting, then it's omnipotent. You're being dumb.
>>
>>55104318
If you were able to be convinced by logical arguments, you would not have just seriously posted this.

Ergo, the only thing left to do is make fun of you for your mental disability.

No, it's the metaphysics behind them that's jarring. Is something a problem because someone hundreds of years ago said it was wrong, because the universe runs on very technical rules, or because it might piss off whoever's in charge, or because it actually causes problems?
>>
>>55104541
That's why I usually negotiate with individuals instead of cultures or nations. My approach is generally to offer gradual levels of help in exchange for obeying my own standards, with the higher levels being especially binding and the lower levels being more live and let live.
>>
>>55104625
What perks would you recommend?
>>
>>55104541
Sure. Part of the standard arrival procedure is deployment of my personal afterlife, if the setting lacks one, or conquest of the existing afterlife, if that one is suboptimal. After that we have to propagate the uplift package to everyone in the universe still alive, ensuring that they are all immortal, healthy, and have bodies that externally represent their internal image of themselves.

After that several bureaucracy-specialized minions are deployed to ensure that various world governments are reconfigured to function properly, and any continuing human rights violations are halted.

By that point all the significant moral concerns are addressed and my party can set about actually touring the setting.

Throughout most of history, in most cultures. children would have their marriage-partners to be picked out for them before they came of age and actually married (usually around 14-16). In many cases, arranged marriages like this worked out just fine.
But there are obviously exceptions where things wouldn't work out fine. But the culture in which it's allowed to happen often doesn't have a mechanism for dealing with these cases.
>>

The primary problem with monarchies and nobles isn't that people are dicks, it's that it's a governmental system that is extremely susceptible to corruption and decay, due to a lack of oversight and any means of moving power into the hands of competent individuals. Also the usual reliance on bloodlines leads to all sorts of problems with inbreeding and inability to transfer power peacefully.

Democracy has many, many faults, but its absolute biggest virtue is that it bogs down the attempts of stupid and evil people to be stupid and evil via public attention and bureaucracy.

So I've got a somewhat unconventional chain going, at least compared to what I usually play. I've got a wandering 'knight errant' sort of Jumper who stays on the road, fights evil and defends the innocent he encounters along the way, and then repeats the process without bothering to stick around long. They're also more honor over pragmatism, for once at least unless the situation is dire enough that playing fair isn't worth it.

What are some settings with characters or plots that aren't resolved in a satisfactory way that they could help with? Hard Mode: Non-grimdark settings. Also, some good companions for this sort of Jumper.

But, and I emphasize that this was my point in the last post as well, that same problem would be WAY, WAY FUCKING EASIER in an autocracy or oligarchy. No need to manipulate the public, no need to circumvent a gigantic bureaucracy, just a small number of very powerful people who need to be co-opted.

We select governments based on their COMPARATIVE qualities, not their ABSOLUTE qualities.

I always take drawbacks that take away a limb or eye. I mean, I like those, but really, losing them for 10 years when you have things like telekinesis and super-eyes are hardly an inconvenience in exchange of that sweet extra points.

Also, drawbacks that pit you against a local superpower.

It depends on how they're handled in my opinion. The worst sins of a Mary Sue are the writing that surrounds them. A character can be heads and tails stronger than everyone surrounding them, they can pull out all manner of absurd, and they can still be entertaining.

Hayato Furinji from Kenichi (pic related) is like this. He's so powerful that no one in the setting beyond one other character ever really challenges him in any fight he's seen in. He's still a very entertaining character though, he has his faults, his things that he can't do, and he doesn't dominate the story.

When a character is presented with great power, versatility, a lack of faults and dominates every aspect of the story despite not actually contributing anything though? That's when they become a Mary Sue. That's when they become dumb.

Basically, it varies. Jumpers don't have to be terrible, it's just really easy for them to be in the wrong hands.
>>
>>55105650
Lets not forget the MC becomes stronger than the grandfather because Miu his love interest wont marry unless the person can defeat her grandfather. Seeing how in epilogue they're married & have a daughter. He's stronger than him.
>>
>>55105426
Just be entertaining. Shit, at a certain point, just write the Jumper as not being the focus of the story. They can just be that entertaining super-powerful background character that pops in to help every once in a while as needed.
Make them the focus of the story when they have little or no faults, lots of power, and they don't actually contribute to the story in any way other than "lol I'll just steamroll through all the threats" is where you hit Mary Sue territory and fail as a writer. Unless you're writing a parody of Mary Sues. Then it could theoretically work. Maybe
>>
>>55105675
Or the grandfather let him win

>>55105675

However, I'm... sorta confused why you're suddenly going to turn it into a 1200cp background with all the powers included, when the cost of Background+all the Powers is 1900cp right now?

Honestly, I'd rather you look at the drawbacks instead of the Manhattan stuff.

>A person is smart, people are dumb panicky animals and you know it
Is there any other species that does that, real or fictional?
I know some ant species develop more complex behaviours the more of them there are.
But I've never heard of another animal getting dumber the more of them there are.
You'd figure a species like that would die out pretty quickly, regardless of how smart they are individiually.

That's why Hiveminded is such a cool perk. You can be the hero, the villain and the OCP that comes and steals the Mcguffin at the same time. And since you do not need to fear chain failure from the other bodies, you can turn down their defenses and powers and just enjoy yourself. It also allows for multiple waifuing, and multiple harems.

In settings that allow for time extension I also like to write snippets about descendants or apprentices.

Lately I have been focusing on new companions and my Devas. They are much more humane than Jumper is at this point. And funnier to write.

I really have to wonder how often setting info I think I remember is actually fanon, because a fanfic or something else fleshed out parts of a world the developers didn't go into, and did it in ways that make much better sense than official material.

Anyways, this is the mostly-done draft of Dungeon Keeper. I admit I never played DK1, so I've been trawling wikis for info. If anyone knows the setting really well, please advise. The location roll needs something better, for a start.

Things to do:

Add more items - seriously, there's traps, spells, doors, and what else? You oversee things, you don't wield things. A portal gem for opening doors? A decorative scythe? Stone golems? A goblet made from the avatar's skull?

Will add more drawbacks later - infighting among creatures, power loss, excess corruption, angry dark gods, keeper rivals...

Add an explanation about dungeon hearts and what they can do by default. I'm probably going to have to dip into DKami lore here, or make something up to explain the difference between crystal and living dungeon hearts, unless there's info somewhere.

Add/clean up mentor commentary/snark

clean up formatting

add notes regarding how rooms purchased as warehouse attachments will function post-jump

...anything else I need to add?

Fuck yes awesome, can we keep heart as an altform?

Also at least according to war for the overworld hearts are different depending on the keeper. Kasira loves gold so hers is a diamond with gold bands, one necromancer keeper is literally using cgained ghosts and anoghdr female keeper uses a magitech ball of stone.

If you want I will redownload tonight to try and get you more info. What info do you need most?

Also keepers like underlord dont even have bodies. Just hearts in dk2 an wftow

I want to think that I'd get some crazy powers and change the world for the better, but I'd probably just use my shit to be a turbo-neet. I'm a vampire, why do I need a job and health insurance again?

Honestly, I thought the set up from before was fine. Just that atemporal wasn't near as good as the other 400 cp powers. The 1200 cp background could work, maybe with a mandatory drawback that makes you a miserable piece of shit like the Dr.
>>
>>55106487
>I'm a vampire, why do I need a job and health insurance again?
Because other people would have probably gotten the same deal, in addition to actual jumpers. So you're probably better off relocating somewhere outside the local multiverse, or building for enough power to hold your own against others like yourself.

A few things here please.

How do backgrounds and discounts work?

If your dungeon heart works as a body can we make it an altform?

Can we choose how our hearts look?

For items I suggest relics, relics of gold that spit out a certain amount of gold every so often or relics of mana that make mana passively both appear in the game.

Spirit workers, imp ghosts that do whatever you want and do not get tired.

May want to be aware that the newest game has keepers as being what amounts to formless masses of intelligience not unlike a spirit of some sort, and the narrator is more evil than most because he is only guiding you so he can backstab you later.

Doomicorn would be nice, they are evil violent unicorns.

A way to hire more minions later on would be nice too.
>>
>>55106141
1.the intro mentions fail conditions but I fail to find any
2.if we already have a dungeon can we move the heart there?
3.do veins of gems work the way they work in the game?
4.would a portal slice be sufficient to take a block of gems with you?
5.the ending notes the hand but there are no ways to get the hand in jump
6.How do we learn to craft The various rooms? seriously I need Spontaneously Appearing pits of chickens.
7.so the majority of monsters are intelligent and therefore would count as companions right?
8.there are no discounts for anything was this intentional?

I did not. As above, I might go through the game for extra ideas if there's not enough lore from DK gameplay to answer all my questions.

>>55106599

At first I made the hand of evil a perk, but I realized it was an innate keeper power, rather than something optional, so all keepers will be able to use it.

I'll be adding a notes section to list how the heart works and what powers it gives by default.

So after shenanigans that led to my mentor sacrificing himself and preventing Old King Jumper from destroying the Marvel Universe as a way of escaping the chain, I've picked up one Victoria Von Doom. Long story short, I broke into Hell thinking a long-deceased close friend was down there. I found Doom instead. They're surprisingly understanding of my thought process, all things considered.

Doom is the kind of person that marches to the beat of their own drummer, and feels the need to prove that they're better than others.

Her results are all good though. She saves 8k people and gives them new eyes that another keeper cut out, people claim shes using them as hostages.

She saves the avatar and kills the vampire keeper so the light gives her the islands, people claim she was blackmailing gods of light ok this one was an on purpose rumor.

She allowed dwarves a chance by making her minions defend without killing and everyone thinks they are hostages for experiments.

Literally she does a lot of good that gets media spin as evil

Just a question concerning Ultimate Lifeform from Jorge Joestar. Is it inherently a purely biological ability, or is there more to it? I'm just curious if I could take the cells that make up an Ultimate Lifeform and using OOC perks, turn it into a string of data or coding to help create some "Ultimate AI" analogue, with the help of other programming perks of course.

Do I have a chance? Or is it doomed for failure?
>>
>>55108195
Technically Cars is an ancient mystical super being that eats vampires and who evolved into an ultimate lifeform using a mystical gem that channels sunlight energy.

You are his progeny, and I think his origins may be a bit too mystical to recreate with science alone. Maybe if you have enough magitech. and that's a big maybe.

Aren't the Stone Masks (and in Jorge canon, the Stand Arrows as well) literally just acupuncture that unlocks the brain's hidden power?

You got a point about the Stone of Aja, though I imagine the beam of light could do something special to a Pillarman's brain, considering they're weak to sunlight.
>>
>>55108229
Well the thing about Kars is that he's a scientist. It doesn't come up much, but that's how he got his start back in the day, and that's how he discovered vampires and those Pillar Men abilities.

See, his mask isn't magic. It pierces the brain and alters it, triggering the evolution of vampires in humans. Similar, the red stone of aja doesn't have magic powers, it simply massively reflects, enhances, and focuses sunlight. Kars uses this to power his mask, allowing it to pierce Pillar Men skni and bone and properly fiddle with his brain to cause the advanced evolution that makes an Ultimate Lifeform.

>>55108281
Yes, but see above about the stone.

The Stone Masks definitely are acupuncture that remove limiters on the body, but there's also something mystical about them too. 100% control over your body for psuedoscientific stuff like Dio freezing others, as well as disintegration in the sunlight, speaks to that.

So people can sell their soul by sacrificing what's important to them, in exchange for becoming these ageless, powerful, man-eating monsters called apostles (pic related). They do this with these weird egg things called behelits. Except sometimes a rare egg of the emperor will appear, and then the person becomes a godhand instead. The latest godhand is FUCKING GRIFFITH, who sacrificed the remains of his mercenary company who rescued him from the torture chamber of the king. The godhand and their apostles basically do as they wilt, but the one pulling the strings to ensure their existence (getting the behilits to the right people at the right time) is God, or Fate, a malevolent over-being that exists because mankind needed somebody to blame their shit on, and it feeds on their suffering, in a merry go round of suffering and death.
Good people: most of the band of the hawk, that one princess, Gut's merry band, and most people who don't have any power over anything at all.
People who need to die: apostles, evil spirits, monsters, khushites, bandits, but mostly Griffith.

It's not really a biological ability. It's just the Ultimate Lifeform being so smart and so able to analyze anything they see that they can recreate it. That's why understanding what you're looking at is a prerequisite to copy something, and why if you're smart enough you can even improve it. You're less copying things directly and more taking inspiration from what you see to make your own cool stuff. The shapeshifting is just there so that you can make the replicated structures directly into your body. So yeah, Ultimate Code is perfectly viable. That's just you looking at a program, seeing what's good about it, and stealing the ideas for your own use.

>What.
Dr. Doom once stiffed Luke Cage on a bill, for some really small sum (I think it was like forty dollars, or around that number). So Luke Cage stole the Fantastic Four's car and invaded Latveria so he could beat up Doom and take the money he was owed. Luke Cage is very thorough about accounts payable. Anyway, it leads to the infamous bit where Luke bursts into the room and asks "Where's my money, honey?", because he's not in the least bit intimidated by Dr. Doom.

Anyways, as to how to waifu Victoria, if she's like Victor she probably would respect your behavior. Well, "respect", because she's a megalomaniac and can't really conceive of the idea of equals, but she'll at least approve. Keeping to yourself, becoming incredibly powerful but helping those that it suits you to help, that's a thing that Doom can get behind. You're not in her way, you're doing interesting things with your powers but don't feel confined by the morality of the masses, all in all it's pretty good. Not as good as if she were doing it, of course, if she was the jumper she'd be so much more powerful than you. But you're not bad, for someone that doesn't have her standards of excellence. Baka.

About the transfer of consciousness from Facehugger to Chestburster-embryo, using the Metamorphosis perk... Does it happen immediately after implantation?

Usually the Facehuggers scurry off to die after Facehugging someone, right?

...I'm asking because I realised I had an utterly terrifying combination of perks.

Metamorphosis +various stealth perks (chiefly the Stranger perk in Creepypasta), means I can't be detected by pretty much any sense. I can literally facehugging someone without them noticing.

So, I'm wondering if they'd suddenly notice a facehugger on their face when my consciousness transfers, or if I could scurry off beforehand...?

Kenichi even has an opposing example of how they can be bad. Miu. The girl who constantly has her self revealed to be more special than before, more powerful than before, and unlike everyone else in the series, this power comes at no cost or effort to her and is usually just given to her. She remains constantly better on a huge scale to Kenichi no matter how much he grows during the series we see and the few times he gets close, she instantly unlocks a new thing that puts her far and ahead away.

While Hayato is fun, Miu is the exact opposite because they didn't keep her separate and she makes a lot of Kenichi's struggles feel a bit limp when she could solve them so easily and has so much reason to do so too.

Well, as I said. They live in plains mainly, but are generally in close association with nearby humans or sometimes elves. Two major groups are notable for this, one area has the humans and centaurs outright living together in the same cities they built together, and another is a bunch of nature freaks who hang out with wood elves and like to be druids.

Personality wise, it's what I said. Ones out in the open plains are nomads, in the cities they get along fine, but are energetic and often a little hedonistic. So they're a race of friendly Chads and Chadettes. Like I implied, they REALLY like humans, though, and both sexes are shameless flirts with people they like. So if you're hanging around one of these cities you're pretty likely to attract some attention from one.

The only issue with this is Metamorphosis won't acquire any traits from the ocean/a planet/the sun - the ocean/a planet/the sun has no genetic data of its own.
Use it to facehugger a tree, some plankton, fungus or a zombie? I guess it makes sense.
But Metamorphosis won't acquire any traits from nonliving hosts.

Life’s full of fun things and if you don’t enjoy the fun things, you won’t have a fun life.

Question: If I understood right, the Aja stone wasn't, as such, for empowering him to ultimate lifeform status, it was about giving the mask enough juice to actually be able to pierce pillar-man skull and brains. ie, he had to overcome his own toughness to be able to upgrade.

Is that why they needed the Red Stone, or did I totally misunderstand?

A HAMSTER BALL.
I had a lot of ideas for dealing with my deprived durability. There was invisibility, and the Physical Shield spell from Fable (which I probably used anyway), but what I ultimately came up with was a HAMSTER BALL. I'll trick it out with enchantments and tech gizmos so that it's super durable, and easily slots into complimentary machinery. You know, like the Wily Saucer, or the Eggmobile.
I'll probably attach flying mechanisms now that I think of it. The point is that it's enclosed and acts as shield.

So I had the thought, "What if I used the Mouse Maker formula to turn people into mice? Like, just... anyone I didn't like. And then I used the same trick I use to make my goat armies, Water + Chi from Legends of Chima, to make them anthropomorphic, an then forced them to work for me.
And I thought, "I think this is evil. No, this is, like, Fair Folk level evil. I'm pretty sure they write fairy tales about this kind of evil to scare small children into being good little boys and girls, that's the kind of evil this is."
>>
>>55109207
So after I decided to do that, I decided that I needed to do some preliminary testing. Which brought me to the conclusion that the Mouse Maker that I was being given each month wasn't nearly enough. I need more. But getting so many mouse tails for the potion is a chore? I need something stronger!
Hey! My body is a super powerful magical reagent! I'll just cut off my own mouse tail and FUCK THAT HURTS. OH GOD. OHHH GOD. OHHHHH GOD. Okay.

So I ran that through the Pixelator so I wouldn't have to do that again, and then I started spiking reservoirs!
And it turns out that modern water treatment plants are more thorough than you'd think? But there are still a lot of podunk towns that aren't up to snuff, so the experiment was mostly a success!
Though to meet anthropomorphism demand, I actually had to use Cheegul (because it comes in greater quantity), which has the side effect of acting like a chicken for a day, and since it was used in the "Enlightenment" process tends to leave them with permanent bird-like mannerisms. Mostly a preference towards seeds and a tendency to squawk when startled. And the JUMPER reagent caused approximately 5% of mousepersons to develop minor magical abilities. But since there was no magic system in place, they were mostly limited to cantrips.

The witches got confused about a "rogue witch", and society had to rework itself a bit to accommodate a sudden influx of mouse furries, but all in all, it was an incredibly productive day for SCIENCE!

People tend to define themselves, and each other, by their limitations.
Interacting with a being that has an arbitrarily high end cap on their limitations would immediately bring up Uncanny Valley warning signs in the part of your brain responsible for interacting with people.
Unless the being was covering for that by pretending to be ordinary.

>benefit in buying up to Champion or Ultimate level if the use of Data Transfer will reset it back to Rookie level

Several actually. First off, if you aren't going to be a Partner Digimon you won't have access to the Machines that allow for DNA Evolution in the first place. Meaning that you're unlikely to ever go up more than a single stage during the Jump.

Moreover, Data Transfers only give you a significant boost if your partner is around as strong or stronger than you.

Secondly, it means you already have oodles of, to quote the game, Digital Potential; so you need fewer additional Data Transfers to gather enough DP to hit Mega, than someone who decided to start the Jump as a Rookie. Bringing "dozens of Data Transfers" down to "just a handful" depending on your strength and that of your Donors. Heck, an ultimate might only need one or two Transfers depending on the strength of the willing Donor; though the trick is to convince the Donor to go along with it.

In short, if you don't care about going Mega (or jsut don't want to deal with silly Humans this jump); you can buy an Ultimate or Champeon to have a decent form, and never have to worry about finding Data Transfer donors.

If you *do* care about going Mega, then buying a higher stage means the large bulk of the work is done; and all you really need is to convince an Ultimate or two to be your Data Donor. Oh sure, the transfer will reset you to rookie; but you'll enough DP to achieve Mega so long as your willing to grind your way up there.
>>
>>55109848
Those weren't even nitpicks though. The edits were legitimate grammatical mistakes, weird wording, or things I added to make perks look better. I actually kinda like DE, so I don't want this jump end up like dozens of others on the drive with ESL language.

There is actually an import option for one set of armor and one weapon, with no limits on said weapon. It is entirely possible that said weapon is a True Longinus Sacred Gear MCU Artefact combined with the Safeguard Sword. Hence, why I considered it.

>>
>>55110681
My point is, that only barely counts for "historically female, but summoned as effeminate male". I don't want to get into some big thing about the nature of gender, but a person who just lived as the opposite of their physical sex doesn't count for what I was asking. Because all of those "they were really female all along" Servants lived as men, that's why history recorded them wrong, so if what you presented yourself as counted for the sake of summoning they'd all be dudes. Heck, even if it was what you self-identified as and not just presented as it wouldn't count, because Mordred thought of themself as male and is still clearly female.

>>55110729
No, actually, this isn't Nasu's fault, here. The Chevalier D'Eon Servant is historically accurate for once. I'm paraphrasing, but their profile says "this cutey's a guy, but they lived as female, and they're so pretty no one noticed. Biologically male, though, if you're into that". What I'm objecting to is that Nasu wasn't inaccurate, for some reason, in this case.

Unlike a lot of them, though, it's remembered with fondness due to some decently fun gameplay, and became a moderately-successful series. The idea is that you're a rancher. You raise monsters. Gameplay is kind of a "raising sim" sort of thing, like Princess Maker but with golems and ghosts and dragons, punctuated with occasional monster fights or dungeon delving. What was really cool about it was that in-character you summoned monsters from these magic disks, something about the Ancients storing them in those disks to preserve them after the fall of their civilization, or something like that. So in the real world you could open up your Playstation, remove the Monster Rancher disk, and pop in any random CD you had and the game would read the data on it and use that as variables to randomize a monster to spawn. It was awesome.

Also, if I'm being completely honest, yes, there were monster girls. The Pixie monster type had several variations on cute girls with monster parts added. But it wasn't the focus, and the game treated them like any other monster. You didn't date or fuck them, you just trained them and then had them fight in the arena.

Apparently Half-Life's writer decided to post the scrip to what was supposed to be half life 2 episode 3. And it's pretty much a bad end where the main hero gets fed up trying to stop the big bad. And apparently due to this Freeman might end up going after the G-Mans organization instead while avoiding the overwhelming Combine force.

So anons are you a bad enough dude to save earth and stop the combines while avoiding the G-Man keeping you down?

I mean, separate race/origin/faction perklines are a thing in lotsa jumps. If you're really up to it, you could do both.

Cool. So, how free am I to design these generic footsoldiers? Do they have to look like the "Goofy Men in Rubber Suits" standard like the usual generic footsoldiers here?

Do you not check the news page ever? One of the artists demanded to be paid more or they would walk. They weren't and told why they literally couldn't be paid more so they walked. But because everything that artist created belong to that artist, and the artist in question had made sure to put his fingers into literally every pie the game was left with no art at all and no money to hire another one.

The fact that that same artist announced a very similar sounding game with himself fully in charge and eager to accept donations within a week of pulling this stunt was complete unrelated. /s

Thank you, quick question though. Is it possible for either of the body clone techniques to instead of remerging to just keep making clones of them?
>>
>>55106141
Needs dungeon heart alt form and giant hand perk as well as the option to choose how your heart looks.
>>
>>55111295
No, you either merge them then re-trigger the technique or keep the 18 clones.

Will start reading now...

In the meantime though, now that you're here at a time I'm not asleep at, I've got a concern with a previous jump of yours, Stellaris. Namely, the species trait discounts are extremely lopsided.

Humanoid get only 50cp in discounts. Which is fair, they're the free species type after all.

But then there's Molluscoids only getting one 100cp trait free, Avians getting a total of 150cp in discounts with one free trait and one discount, and fungoids getting 200cp in free perks.

Mammalians and Anthropods meanwhile get 250cp in freebies and discounts, while Reptilians and Plantoids get 300cp in freebies.

...Yet, all but Humanoid has the same cost. Despite it currently favoring Reptilians and Plantoids by quite a bit.

It seems the traits for species really need a bit of tuning to equalize them and make some not blatantly better than others.

Maybe you could just add discounts and freebies, so every race ends up with 300cp in discounts and freebies? Or perhaps lowering Reptilians and Plantoids to 250cp by turning one of their 100cp freebies into a discount, while raising the rest up to 250 too?

I'm not counting Synthetics in this, because they're 300cp and get the whole "being a robot" thing with their free Hive Minded and choice of being Naturals at a field. The robot thing seems like it makes up for the disparity.

>Mordred thought of themself as male and is still clearly female.
Mordred tried to make herself think of herself as male to fit into her preconceived notions of her relationship to her father, and it drove her a bit bonkers. She secretly hates being treated as a man as much or even more than being treated as a woman.

Well, World Gods(the level you're restricted to) can go ahead and destroy a landmass that's double the size of a Solar System, and depending on the person that takes a lot of effort. That being said there are two levels far stronger than that.

>>55111386
Yeah, I think it'll just be easier to have them all have a set of discounts and freebies.

Cool, I think I remember this series. Never got too far into it, xianxia protagonists start to grate on me after a while, but the premise of the world seemed cool. Maybe I'll reread it now, catch back up on the setting details.

Do imports count against the can bring 8 companions rule? I assume they do but I am not sure. (Kinda hard to tell since some imports let you just bring companions while other imports are only used to give setting powers and bring companions)
