I bought this on an impulse buy today. I originally intended to just get the Daemon Prince model because I had an idea for a conversion and it seemed fun, then I saw this and got to thinking about a bunch of Possessed buffed by Heralds and Daemon Princes and now I guess I'm a Chaos player.

They're somewhere between a special weapons team and devestators. Good against MEQ and TEQ, can dent vehicles. Mostly just use standard guns. Only way assault ones could be useful would be maybe in a RG list sitting at 24 and plinking but you're better off infiltrating and rapid firing then.

As a Tyranid player, what's the best way to deal with Guilliman? I have a friend who brings him all the time, and while I usually win by ignoring him, I wanna be able to kill him. I've tried throwing mass blobs of Hormagaunts, the Swarmlord, and a Scythed Hierodule at Guilliman, and nothing seems to work (though, admittadly, I got some bad rolls with the SL and Hierodule)

Hormagaunts are for tarpitting shooty units, not killing anything. Those are the worst thing to throw at Gilly.

Genestealers can do it, but you want to soften him up first.

Swarmlord is one of the best options but you need above average rolls. Save a CP for re-rolling damage.

The main way to deal with Gilly though is to just kill everything around him in the buff bubble and screen your goodstuff from his charges with your chaff.

Actually, in the game where I threw the SL and Hierodule at him, I pretty much killed everything else.
