Basically as a Marquis it's my duty to protect civilization from all outside threats. That's why I took the Jiger's and Archon crazy over there. Alexander and the guild are enemies because they're shady af.

My army is basically a dreadnought staffed with soldiers, and the 20 ships designed to give it that extra edge, just in case. (Would have done more upgrades to ships as a whole, but that dreadnought cost a fuckton... I suppose it warns that ahead of time anyways though.)

Overall I really enjoyed this one, thanks for posting.

Doesn't hurt that he's very resistant to Bluetail's main weapon (flamethrower), or that Bluetail's machine gun can keep the enemies heads down during a Redstart charge

Eh, I put a bit of thought into it ("Hm. On the one hand, punch really hard. On the other hand, divine secrets, create life, and also freeze shit for five points cheaper"), but didn't try to overanalyze it.
Really, I just picked the useful/optimal/fun stuff and saw what quest it all fit.

Either way, good build you got there. As for you and your other not working out, you're a bit like fire and water. You just don't mix that well. Only really dangerous and immediate things will bring you together, and it never lasts although some countermeasures for this exist.. Remember, they get a 50% of the same quest as you, but if you pick the Samurai, he'll hunt you both no matter what, so there's a good binding motivation.

If I had to speculate further, I'd say that there are a few different 'secret' paths, and the builds and associated motivations determine which one (or even ones) you get - ranging from just following in Eon's footsteps and reigniting the gates to becoming a whole new world (/Sacrament/thing of similar magnitude) unto yourself.

I retired from being an evil necromancer experimenting in my dark arts when I became a Lich and met I met my lovely Lich bride. We settled down with our undead and my cultists and used our resources to build a small town and amass great wealth to relax for the rest of eternity. The wealth attracted many bandits and Goblins to our village, and we eventually hired in the Orc warshamans with the excess wealth because of undesirables attacking us to steal our wealth. However, once I discovered I was the last living relative to a line of nobility in a near by kingdom, I mobilized the village and we took the kingdom over. We kicked the humans who could not accept the new regime out of their homes and into the wilderness and let those who could their new lord stay. There was some fighting, but nothing the skeleton army could not handle. Once the renovations to the kingdom were complete, we lived happily ever after.

Yeah, in a sense. Hole in one there, you can make it from their bodyparts. Yellow Samurai, despite maybe being the strongest, would give you the least amount but the most potent amount. Larger ones, like Urza, would give you more, but slightly less potent, solution.

The process for extracting it is another matter. You'll need both to make it.

This CYOA is technically broken, since all one has to do is take Mental Retreat or Romantic Cabin, and then whatever other option you think will keep you entertained for the next ten years.

But that wouldn't make for a good story.

With this build, I will use the aid of the pixies to discover the knowledge I need to deal with my enemies. I should have taken more pragmatic options instead of the dickbait, but being taunted and teased to unending frustration, and taking it out on a bunch of fairy sluts, then relaxing with my doge sounds legit. Also, endless drugs and crazy experiences, thanks to the Secret Path and the Crown.
