This is just a summary of what was discussed on the livestream, but the big thing to pay attention to is how he said the rules team reviewed the grand alliance books and the model ranges and asked if its model range is large enough, and pick from that factions that they would not be producing a battletome for soon, and make allegiance rules for those. So we can guess from factions that are definitely large enough, that are not getting allegiance rules, will likely be getting a battletome before the next GHB. To me would could be seeing the following factions getting battletomes within the next year:
nurgle rotbringers combined with nurgle daemons (strong rumors that this is coming)

deathrattle (strong rumors that this is coming)

The new Rampaging Destroyers is very interesting. If you use Ravager your general activates it on 3+ and your other heroes on 6+.

There's no restriction on how many times a single unit can be moved with the trait, so if you get lucky you could have it activate multiple times on the same unit.

Sure, but it's effective and thematic

There are a lot of artefacts that do "reduce enemy shooting rolls by 1 against this model". Some factions get a bonus effect on top of that: Stormcast get the mirrorshield which reduces shooting rolls by 2, and Wanderers get to also add +1 to wizards within 9".

But a plague furnace with diseased and the fumigatous might make it actually pretty good. The living cyst on a furnace makes it move 6", so you don't need a hoard of monks pushing it around (keep a unit of 10 monks around it and that's a 9" movement). Verminlords can also spew prayers now.

With Disspossesed I see no reason to pick anything but Shoddy Craftsmanship under nearly all circumstances, bar maybe Cowardly Hordes when going against piles of tarpits.

No death rattle, general got the nerf bat. Deathless minions is now down to 6" from the hero or general, ruler of the night increases the range to 12" and doesn't effect the roll. Red fury is now a 5+, cloak of mists and shadows is no longer single use, that's all I remember

The warpstone tokens seem quite powerful, I wonder if the double damage thing also works for the Cannon, Stormfiends and Warpfire throwers.

However, you could just take the battalion and get the stubborn to the end battle trait and reroll 1s for everyone against everything and fit your entire army in it.

Mono-god is practically always better for your synergies and it makes for easier theme-building and better-looking armies.

I have no idea what the fuck should I do with my rats now. Playing with 2x Spire of Dawn army was fun as fuck but without two main allegiance abilities I'm just fucked.
For 2000pts games it seems to be pretty easy - buy 3 boxes of stormfiends to cover the battleline requirement then add 2 warlock engineers, 2 mortars, 2 warpfire throwers and a cannon I already have and add as many allied warlords and clanrats as I can fit into 400pts.
But what about 1000pts games? That's the most played format at my LGS. Playing with stormfiends as battleline will be boring and bland as fuck

I've been on the last few models of a start collecting Daemons of Tzeentch box set, got the last four horrors to finish, but I got stuck on the flamers, I kinda wanted some bright nice colours transitioning down to a white at their base, and I've fucked it up pretty bad, also I had to stop on the lord of change because I ran out of magnets and can't be fucked working on it until more show up in the mail

I could make the argument that taking the battalion and going with the order allegiance would be better. Because you can fit your entire dispossessed army in it, then you get 2 order relics (which are still very good), and the stubborn rule with morale rerolls, AND reroll hits of 1 from everyone against everything. By being order allegiance, I am not so limited on allies restrictions for bringing other shit.

So the more I theorycraft it, the less and less attractive the dispossessed rules look.

Bravery rerolls are kinda shit when compared to just outright ignoring battleshock 50% of the time, the nerf to Reckless makes Command Traits a lot less asttractive and while Relic Blade and Obstinate Blade are both still good, the deepstrike pickaxe is amazingly good and the reroll trinket is very strong on the old king on shieldbearers.

It's just so much redundant battleshock stuff. Like, Dispossessed don't have terrible bravery anyway--Warriors are Bravery 6. Add in rerollable saves and you don't even lose that many guys to begin with, then plus Clan Banners halving all models fleeing, and the option of adding in WK Oath Stone or Longbeard grumbling...well, I think I can count the times I've lost more than 1-3 guys to battleshock on one hand, and it's mostly fighting stupid stuff like spiderfang MW cheese.

It seems with the wording that

with the OLD Ring of Immortality (left) you had a model straight up DYING (being "slain") and THEN being set-up on the table.

with the NEW Ring of Immortality (right) your model can either die or not ("heal"). Only when it DOES NOT DIE (after a mere "heal") it is teleported away.

The wording seems to have changed so that it implies that the model never leaves the table, which gives me hope for the fact that you wouldn't need to pay for it.
It's now a "heal + teleport" ability that activates in situations of uncertain danger.
It used to be a "return after you're dead" ability that activates after certain confirmed death.

But then again if a GW employee wakes up on the wrong side of the bed all this logic means nothing.

I want to start a poorfag Nighthaunt army. The idea is to set up spirit hosts to murder things and throw a bolt or two with the midnight tome.

Well, then you have a problem mate. In GHB1 era you would pick a crown of conquest and lord of war so you could buff your infantry blobs with your heroes. They arent mine but here you go:
>work from White Undercoat so it's a method ever so slightly different from GW's Black Undercoat - Base - Wash - Base - Layer - Highlight approach as it cuts out half the steps (and so is great for a speed painting).

1. Step 1 is to paint the highlight colour straight onto the white undercoat. For example with the flesh, where I would have started with 'Bugman's Glow' I now jump straight to 'Kislev Flesh'.

The advantage of the white undercoat is layer paints get good enough coverage straight away - and if the undercoat does poke through, it's white rather than black and so adds to the highlights later.

2.Step 2 is to apply all the washes. For example the flesh has Reikland Fleshshade painted onto it. Because the models were so bright to begin with this stage is akin to dipping. I think if the bases were tidied up this would make a fine table top standard.

3.Step 3 is to highlight all the colours, using that layer paint again and then mixing it 50/50 with Pallid Wytch Flesh for the final highlight. You can see the highlights are bold and crass under scrutiny, but from table-top eye level they look great and really pop.

4.Step 4 was to do all the NMM and finish the bases
