No, that was when he stepped down from being CEO/Chairman back to just being Chairman when Kevin Rountree stepped up.
Incredibly strange an FTSE250 company having a CEO/Chairman, he did that after Mark Wells (?) stepped down as CEO. Protecting his own interests I suppose, guy makes £1m every time they call a share dividend so they used to do it twice a year.

No it fucking isn't. He stepped down at GW CEO a while ago and would remain in an advisory role during the transitory period. Literally everything that has happened not, in a lore perspective and how GW is being much fairer to online and independent stockists, is thanks to Rountree.
