How strict are people about wysiwyg? Wanna start playing pick up games soon and am currently converting blood warriors into khorne zerkers. The obvious go to seems to be axes+chainswords, but it would make them look dumb, since all chainswords I have come from the basic CSM box, meaning they're all left hands. Varies from place to place, but the normal rule is it shouldn't be confusing for your opponent. If every model has the same loadout then that's easy to remember, however they're actually built. But if say some in the unit have pistols, and a different number of models have pistols, then that'll probably be a problem.

The Index cut extra deep because it took an army with minimal customisation and cut it back even further, removing options for better and more unique invuns (Stasis fields were fun for when an opponent decided to throw their really big guns on my HQ)

What is that worth in points, 20,000+?

Which is better for grey Knights, when taking a grand master in NDK- hammer or sword? 5 (or six with ancient) attacks that reroll 1's and hit on 2's with the sword is great (statistically 97% hit), and it's S10 with d6 damage, but the hammer- while hitting on 3's- is guaranteed at least D3 with AP-4 and S12.

The strength boost is virtually worthless except against T6, but the definite damage boost and better AP seems nice.

They're solid. Do well in traditional tournament lists because everyone's built to fight hordes and spam, but the growing trend of 'gimmicky' armies (10 Slannesh terminators, 3 quad-las predators, HQ bombs, etc.) can fight them pretty well.

Usually it goes- when I take a full knight army- that my opponent can reliably kill 2, in extreme cases 3, but never wipe them. People just don't bring enough heavy firepower to carry on through an entire match.

What's the average Space Marine K/D ratio against CSM, Orks, Nids, etc. With the Chapter size limit and long recruitment process I'll never understand how they are not wiped out due to attrition. Honestly asking not trying to troll.

Pick a color for your assassins. Straight black is just wait too dark and looks like you primed 'em and left 'em done.
Mix up any color: blue, purple, whatever, and darken it up the the point of near illegibility.

Been resisting because I already have about a 100 Space Marines, a good chunk of which still need paint. Even traded the Primaris part of the Dark Imperium ser off for another Nurgle half. Do Straken's buff and the ministorum priest's buff stack?

Straken: all models in units within 6" of Straken at the start of the Fight phase can make one additional attack each time they fight in that phase

Well this just happened...

Got back from my first game against the new Chaos codex with my marines led by Rowboat.
Rowboat got murder stomped by Kharn who has 30+ attacks now? He got a total of 9 attacks combined from his Legion trait and his warlord trait (he got 1 attack extra from killing a other character) and like 5 of his attack rolls were a 6 so that was 14 attacks on the first round. After that he went again but got less lucky this time and Rowboat barely survived at 1 wound. Then the fucker pays 3cp and he finishes it.

Some 160 pts fucker just did that too somebody more then twice his price.

Did my best to make a gravis version of my captain with some more interesting weapons

Clipping the hood was easier than I expected and the curvature on the iron halo is perfect for putting it on the backpack

I'm running low on bits so did my best with the LC. I wish I had some more spare terminator arms but I had to get creative

How much are multi-god chaos warbands a thing in the fluff? Having different marks throughout your army to make best use of stratagems seems the best way to play them this edition, but whenever I read anything about CSM every warband seems to only worship one god go out of their way to fight warbands of the other gods.

Can a sorcerer of tzeentch ever be bffs with a khorne lord? Would said lord be okay with the sorcerer using his powers to warp him closer to the enemy so he can start ripping and tearing faster? These are the thoughts that grip me whenever I try to write up a list.

Per the FAQ, dice rolls where you add two or more numbers together (like a charge roll or a psychic roll) require you to reroll both dice unless the reroll specifically says otherwise.
