Are [people] genetically predisposed to a life of adventuring and dungeon delving? / How likely is it that the offspring of an adventurer and great hero grows up to become an adventurer themselves?

Humans are genetically disposed to be adaptable to a very wide range of potentially very hostile environments. So humans CAN adapt to a life of adventuring, unlike, say, a goldfish which can't even fucking adapt to minor water changes.

But to have the sort of inclination you are referring to would be a cultural thing. The child has the genes to make a good adventurer, but the child is only likely to grow up to be an adventurer due to the environment it was raised in. If the hero-child were birthed in a peaceful kingdom, he may have become a guard or an athlete or some other profession. Professions are not DNA based, I feel like I shouldn't have to say that.

People born with innate special abilities like an exotic bloodline, whether half-breed or something like a sorcerer, would be more likely to take up a life of adventure. Probably because they'd be less able to fit in with the common folk and their unique nature would infer benefits that make them more likely to survive the experience. The children of a famous adventurer would hopefully benefit from inheriting whatever exceptional attributes that allowed their parent to survive. The fact they'll likely grow up on stories of their parent's adventures, along with having access to the best mentor possible in a parental figure, means even an otherwise mundane child could easily be inspired to follow in their parent's adventuring footsteps if they wanted to.

Even with the best adventuring genes, it's still possible to get the most dull witted and inept offspring. That one kid that has fantasies of running his very own shit farm with an ugly wife and 20 children. The one that would take the family heirloom sword that was bestowed by a god and slew the greatest evil of the land and use it to chop down a tree.

Doesn't have to be a genetic thing. Look at the military, and how often their kids go into (or hang around) the military. If that's the life that they are used to, they are around people who have similar experiences, and those experiences have brought them some sort of glory or respect, they are more likely to enter it.

And that ignores the outright pressure of if someone was a "big damned hero", where they are constantly being told that one day they'll be like that too - and are pushed and encouraged to do it.

You don't need genetics dude.

Apart from sorceror/half-(whatever) genetics, yeah, it would be a very strong cultural influence, like army brats, but unlikely to be genetic unless there's some OTHER genetic thing in your society (gingers, say, as satanspawn who will never be trusted with any degree of authority, and have the choice of adventuring or digging ditches.)

Your PC's adopted daughter is probably already learning cantrips as she learns to read. The blood son he never met from a barmaid, raised by the town miller you cucked as his own? He'll probably never set foot out of that town or pick up a piece of steel longer than a carving knife.

Nah, some crazy shit needs to happen for someone to take up being a murder hobo.

Rather unlikely considering that adventurers commonly oly have offspring once they are already succesfull at adventuring. In any case - children of succesfull adventurers are bound to grow up like nobility in households full of wondrous artifacts, financed by years of loot and with the "Hero of the nation" as at least one, sometimes both of the parents.

Children of unsuccesfull adventurers are more likely. Growing up without a dad or as an Orphan is a good starting point for a life of suicidal adventuring given the genetic traits of the parents.
